  • Cloud accounting represents a new area of accounting information systems. Past research has often focused on accounting information systems and its antecedents, rather than factors that adopt cloud accounting system. The purpose of this paper is to explain the factors that influence the adoption of cloud accounting in the financial sectors. This paper applied the technology acceptance model (TAM), technology-organization-environment, and the De Lone and Mc Lean model, coupled with proposed factors relevant to cloud accounting. The proposed model was empirically evaluated using survey data from 187 managers (financial managers, IT department managers, audit managers, heads of accounting departments, and head of internal control departments) in Jordanian bank branches. Based on the SEM results, top management support, organizational competency, service quality, system quality, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use had a positive relationship with the intention of using cloud accounting. Cloud accounting adoption positively affected cloud accounting usage. This paper contributes to a theoretical understanding of factors that activate the adoption of cloud accounting. For financial firms in general the results enable them to better develop cloud accounting framework. The paper verifies the factors that affect the adoption of cloud accounting and the proposed cloud accounting model.

  • This work investigates how domestic or foreign ERP affects the relationship between risks associated ERP implementation and intention to adopt risk-mitigating options. We propose three risks such as ERP vendor risk, economic risk, and security risk should affect positively the intention to adopt the risk-mitigating options. To validate the impact of risks and to examine the difference between domestic and foreign ERP, we collected data from IT managers in small and medium sized logistics companies in South Korea using survey questionnaires. We validate the difference between domestic ERP and foreign ERP using multiple regression analyses. We find that IT managers using domestic ERP are willing to adopt risk-mitigating options for economic and security risk. In contrast, we find that IT managers using foreign ERP are willing to adopt risk-mitigating options for ERP-vendor risk. This work may provide IT managers in logistics industry a practical guideline of choosing either domestic or foreign ERP based on their risk preferences.

The survey was conducted between July and August 2021. The collected data underwent hierarchical multiple regression analyses. Results: The regression analyses indicated that clinical nurses' intention to stay was significantly associated with job stress (B=-0.06, 95% CI [-0.09, -0.04]), six or more years of clinical practice (B=0.60, 95% CI [0.13, 1.07]), men (B=0.87, 95% CI [0.30, 1.44]), and being placed on their desired nursing unit (B=0.39, 95% CI [0.27, 0.76]). Intention to stay was not found to be associated with authentic leadership by the unit managers. Conclusion: It is essential to implement workplace health promotion programs to prevent and reduce job stress among nurses to retain proficient clinical nurses. Additionally, nursing workforce management strategies tailored to the specific sex and career path of nurses are necessary. Moreover, careful consideration should be given to nursing unit placements that align with the individual aptitudes of nurses.
