I conducted structural model analysis which is considered the influence of "government policy and micro-enterprise manager's characteristics" on management performance through effective analysis on governmental policy for micro-enterprise funding, training and consulting support. This study results showed characteristics of micro-enterprise manager and government policy significant to management performance. In the structural model, significant independent variables are customer's accessibility, promotion availability, goods mobility, customer attractive ability, effectiveness of funding, size of supported training, and effectiveness of training and satisfaction of supported consulting size.

Schedule management of construction work is critical to completing construction projects within a given period of time. Many efforts have been made and multiple tools have been developed to support the management of construction projects using smart devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs. This study proposed a method for managing construction schedules via a smart device using Flash. The interactive and graphic properties of Flash enable the development of an app that can allow a field manager to manage schedules easily and efficiently. A prototype was implemented using Adobe Flex Builder, and a sample network was applied in a smartphone. It is convenient for a construction manager to manage construction schedules using the tool because Flash controls graphic components easily. In further studies, network diagrams such as CPM (Critical Path Method) should be developed and applied to the app.

This paper proposes the distributed virtual environment framework for collaboration between heterogeneous platforms. The proposed system consists of Client, Content Server(CS), and Reflector Server(RS). The Client is composed of VR library(VRL), Interaction Manager(IM), Distributed Interaction Manager(DIM), and Network Interface(NI). The proposed Client structure can support various display environments. The XML-based IM and DIM lets the users define and add the interactions. The proposed Server structure synchronizes the distributed interaction between heterogeneous platforms and provides transparency to the users. Therefore, the proposed framework enables the users to implement virtual collaboration environment for their tasks. Moreover, it can also be used for research and development activities between a large number of the remote users. The usefulness of the framework was verified by applying it to the virtual heritage tour system.

A GIS software GEO Millennium SystemTM has been developed to integrated with spatial database that combines conventional and spatially related data. As we known well the standard query language lacks the support of spatial data type and predicate, and can not serve as the query language in the spatial database directly; some extended strategies have been proposed, but some of them need their own storage manager, some introfuce new clause into the SELECT-FROM-WHERE structure, and some is very complex and available to us. So we designed our own query language on the conventional storage manager system. It supports the Spatial Data Type and predicate, and provides the full query capabilities of SQL on the non-spatial part of the database while being tightly integrated with the spatial part, without changing the standard SQL structure.

Policy-based networking offers a network manager the ability to manage the network in a holistic and dynamic fashion rather than force a network manager to manage the network by dealing with each device individually. Policy-based networking is focusing on users and applications instead of emphasizing devices and interfaces. An important part of the policy-based networking is to simplify the task of administration and management for different disciplines. The Defense Information System(DIS) of today are complex and heterogeneous systems. Operational needs are not a trivial task and Quality of Service(QoS) is not generally guaranteed. So, important data may be missed or congested by trivial data. Policy-based networking provide a way to support QoS and simplify the management of multiple devices deploying complex technologies. This paper suggest implementation of policy-based networking in DIS to improvement of performance, and implementation is progressed step by step. Especially this paper is focusing on the providing QoS with policy-based networking using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol(LDAP) Server.

For effective management of statistical database, statistical summary information must be provided by accessing directly the precomputed summary data from summary database to store and manage meta database for supporting statistical analysis and providing users with statistical summary information. In order to support effectively the use of summary database, we do the design and implementation of meta database and manager having a hierarchical structure as a data dictionary/directory and operation method is presented.

Real-Time applications on Grid environment have several problems in terms of resource management addressed as follows; (1) dynamic resource allocation to provide QoS objectives, (2) heterogeneous resources that is different scale, or capacity in same unit, and (3) resource availability, and resource needs. This paper describes the techniques of resource manager (RM) handling above problems to support QoS of dynamic real-time applications on Grid. The contributions of this paper to solve problems are as follows: unification of dynamic resource requirements among heterogeneous hosts, control of resources in heterogeneous environments, and dynamic load balancing/sharing. Our heuristic allocation scheme works not only 257% better than random, 142% better than round robin, and 36.4% better than least load in QoS sensitivity, but also 38.6% better than random, 28.5% better than round robin, and 31.6% better than least load in QoS.

As the size and complexity of network increase Distributed System Management (DSM) will be significant issue within information network in order to increase the high reliability and to improve the flexibility of network management. The OSI management model has several problems. The key problems are that it does not fully address the problem of how to develop communication protocol in support of DSM and how to classify the management connection criteria. In this paper to solve first problem described above this paper propose the connectionless CMIP to accomplish for effectively managing the distributed management managing systems to handle the dynamic informations. To work out second problem we introduce the connection criteria in the hierarchy of management system and finally evaluate the efficiency of a suggested protocol during cooperative negotiation among the managing system.

The main purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting performance of casual wear franchise stores including franchiser support and social network between owners/managers. The study included the franchise stores of 55 casual wear brands located in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi-do. In each store, one manager, owner or staff member with management responsibility was asked to fill out a questionnaire. A total of 184 questionnaires were collected with 165 used in the final analysis. The results showed that franchiser support consisted of educational support, marketing support and customer support. Path analysis indicated that only the educational support had a significant influence on the franchiser-franchise relationship, and in turn, the franchiser-franchise relationship positively influenced customer performance. Marketing support did not have a significant influence on the franchiser-franchise relationship, but did demonstrate a direct influence on customer performance. Social networks positively influenced customer performance, and there was significant a correlation between regions and social networks on customer performance. Sales performance was significantly influenced by customer performance.
