Construction Management is the overall management of the project as construction manager and the owner are united together. Construction manager's role is to conduct the overall or partial construction administration in the 'design, bid, build' process, in the owner's interests with maintaining technical neutrality. Construction manager is becoming one of new professionals in the building process and the contract defines their roles and the range of services, so high level of ethnics are required. This study suggests the legal status of the construction manager and the ethnic standards and the ethnic's characteristics. In conclusion, firstly, the legal characteristics of the administration of construction management are the delegations contract, the responsibility of negligence and the duty of due diligence, abided by the contract that ties between the owner and the construction manger. Secondly, the administerial characteristics of the construction management are the role of mediator, the service of professional technology, accountability to the owner and publicness. Thirdly, due to these characteristics, as a professional, the standard of ethnic assessment for the construction project manager are intention, act and result, so with the relation to that, morality, deontology and consequentialism have been suggested in this study.

A new architecture called the Storage Area Network(SAN) was developed in response to the requirements of high availability of data scalable growth and system performance. In order to use SAN more efficiently, most SAN operating systems support storage virtualization concepts that allow users to view physical storage devices attached to SAN as a large volume virtually. A logical volume manager plays a key role in storage virtualization. In order for mapping managers to process snap-shots and reorganizations, an efficient freespace manager is required, and it affects the overall performance of logical volume. In this thesis, we design and implement a freespace manager for logical volume manager. The freespace manager efficiently allocates physical blocks for logical blocks. Also, it processes space allocation requests for suports snapshots and reorganizations.

RFID 기술은 기존의 바코드 기술보다 발전된 무선의 비접촉 인식 기술로서, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 핵심기술로 간주되고 있다. RFID 태그는 기존의 단순한 사물의 인식 기능 중심에서 사물의 상태 및 환경 정보를 감지할 수 있는 센서 태그로의 발전으로 물류 프로세스의 양적, 질적 향상을 도모할 수 있게 되었다. 센서 태그는 환경 정보를 센싱하기 위하여 배터리를 내장하고 있으며, RF Transceiver의 내장 유무에 따라 자체적으로 신호를 보낼 수 있는 active 센서 태그와 리더로부터의 신호를 사용하는 semi-passive 센서 태그로 구분된다. Semi-passive 센서 태그는 배터리를 부착함으로써 passive 태그에 비해 인식률과 인식거리가 향상되었고 active 태그에 비해 단가가 매우 저렴하여 센서 태그가 부착된 물품의 상태를 모니터링하고 환경을 감시하는 다양한 응용에 사용될 수 있다. 이러한 응용의 요구에 따라 Edge Manager는 기존의 passive 태그는 물론 센서 태그를 지원함으로써 상위 응용에게 정제된 결과를 전달할 필요성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 특히 semi-passive 센서 태그를 지원하는 Edge Manager의 설계를 위하여, 센서를 사용한 또 다른 활용 분야인 센서 네트워크에서의 질의 유형을 분석하고, semi-passive 센서 태그의 특징을 고려한 요구사항을 분석한다. Semi-passive 센서 태그는 센서 네트워크의 센서 노드와는 달리 태그 레벨에서 필터링과 병합을 수행할 수 없으므로 Edge Manager에서 이러한 기능이 제공되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 Edge Manager에서의 센서 태그 데이터에 대한 질의를 위한 방법으로 EPCglobal ALE 표준명세의 ECSpec을 확장하는 방법을 제안하고, 센서 태그 데이터의 특성을 고려한 필터링 기법과 병합(aggregation) 기법을 적용한 질의 처리가 가능한 Edge Manager의 구조를 제시한다.

This paper examines how the concentration of ownership in firms influences the R&D investment decision and whether the type of a firm's management (i.e, the owner-manager or professional manger) differentiates the relationship between the ownership concentration and R&D investments by using data of Korean pharmaceutical companies between 2004 and 2008. The results show that the share of the largest shareholder and R&D investment have an inverted U-shaped relationship, and whether a CEO is an owner or a professional manager affects the curvature of the inverted U-shaped relationship. Specifically, when a firm's CEO is a professional manager and the share of his stock is small, increase in the CEO's share increases the R&D investment in the larger amount than when a firm's CEO is an owner. This is because the increase in ownership reduces agency cost; However, when the share of his stock is large, the increase in CEO's share decreases R&D investment in the larger amount than when a firm's CEO is an owner. This is because a professional manager gets concerned over excessive risk exposure more than an owner-manager does.

This study for the hotel organization and Hotel Middle Manager's Communication .we studied the Effect of Hotel Middle Manager's Communication on the Organizational Commitment and the Moderating Effect of Organizational Commitment on Organizational Culture. finally, 80 copies of samples were used in empirical analysis. and SPSS 18.0 statistical package was used. The results of the hypothesis are as follows. First, The Verification result of hypothesis that the communication of hotel middle manager will shows a significant positive correlation effect on Organizational Commitment was partially supported. Second, The Verification result of hypothesis that the communication of hotel middle manager will shows a significant positive correlation effect on Organizational Culture was partially supported. Third, The Verification result of hypothesis that the organizational Commitment of hotel middle manager will shows a significant positive correlation effect on Organizational Culture was supported. Fourth, The Verification result of hypothesis that Organizational Commitment will have a significant moderating effect on the relationship between the communication and organizational culture of hotel middle manager.

In this paper, we suggest the GUI Management Tool, named K-Manager, for management and service of science and technology information that stored in distributed retrieval databases. Generally, it must be adapted retrieval database system for web based S&T contents service. But, It is inconvenient contents manager or the system administrator controls information easily, because it does not support the S&T information management process like TOAD, which can use for the relation database, in information retrieval database system. Using K-Manager, content manager can process the S&T content and system manager can manage the databases easily. The proposed tool active controls information effectively which is stored in the distributed retrieval database which guarantee the safety management of the contents stored in database and operate retrieval with efficient performances. Our tool consists of two sub systems, one is content manager, the other is database manager for YESKISTI based on KRISTAL-IRMS.

This study was conducted to derive the new manager model in service economy era. It was logically explained that the modern economic society is different from the existing economic society, the modern organization that is the subject of management is different from the existing organization, and the tasks required by management are different from the existing tasks. It suggested the managerial model required for new managers. According to the proposed manager's model, the tasks required of new managers and essential qualities as managers to perform the tasks were presented. It suggested the role model that managers with required qualities should play. The role of a manager who becomes one with customers, the role of a manager who controls even his irrationality, the role of a manager who combines discernment and indiscriminateness, a flexible leadership role that combines charisma and tenderness, an administrator role that embraces regulations and non-regulations, and vision and non-vision. We derived the role of a manager who manages management, and a manager role model that utilizes both competition and non-competition. The managers engage in two opposing roles and perform management activities in a spiral dialectical cycle that develops while resolving the contradictions of each role. The method of embracing the two opposing parties internally and externally and the dialectical management execution process according to the change of the space-time axis were presented by borrowing the models of The Book of Change. Future research needs an empirical analytical study on this new Model. There is a need for studies that expand this study and develop it into a practical model and verify it in an analytical way.

To drive construction project successful, a construction manager with good competency is needed. In order to select appropriate construction manager, there should be a standard and a method for appropriately evaluating the competency of construction manager. There have been many researches on the competency of construction managers, but there are two points to be supplemented. One is that construction manager's competency measurement was not concrete and objective, and the other is that construction project performance directly reflects individual manager's performance. The purpose of this study is to derive a construction manager competency evaluation index by using the Notational Analysis technique that is used when deriving an indicator that measures the athlete's competency in sports. This analysis was drawn with Delphi method. Finally, the 'measurable behaviors'were derived that can evaluate the competency of construction managers. Through this, it is possible to express each manager's expertise, leadership, and personal characteristics in numerical expression. This will help decision makers when selecting construction managers. It is anticipated that decision makers will be able to make the decision to select the necessary construction managers easier because it can evaluate the construction managers through a scientific approach based on the record by supplementing the existing method which only relied on intuition.
