This study is focused on finding out how Mers affects tourism industry. To achieve the study purpose we analyzed the differences of management performance of hotels, travel agencies and airlines before and after Mers occurrence. As the result of analysis, there were significant differences in the variables of profit margin ratio before income taxes and operating profit ratio as a profit index before and after Mers occurrence in the hotel firms. And in case of travel agencies, there were significant differences in the variables of debt to equity ratio and borrowings dependence ratio as a stability index before and after Mers occurrence. Lastly there were significant differences in the variables of operating profit ratio as a profit index and total assets turnover ratio as an activity index before and after Mers occurrence in the airlines. Therefore the managers should find an way to reduce the negative image of plague through the effective marketing strategy.

Donald K. Sebera model can quantitatively compare the preserving environment by calculating the preserving valuation index with changing only the temperature and humidity. In this study, Donald K. Sebera model was used in order to compare and evaluate the preserving valuation index on the best condition and the worst condition in the temperature and humidity range of public records management act. As the results, the preserving valuation index in the best conditions was larger 2.47 times than the worst conditions within the preserving environment permitted in public records management act. Also, the influence of the humidity on the preserving valuation index of a paper archives as decreasing the activation energy for the hydrolysis reaction was larger rather than temperature. Thus the preserving valuation index can easily evaluate the suitability of the temperature and humidity conditions for preserving a archives. Therefore it can be used as useful tool for preservation of archives on change of the temperature and humidity.

With overall opening of global construction market by World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements, importance of management efficiency of construction industry which considers both tangible and intangible assets is recently being recognized in our nation. That is, efforts for reinforcement of competitiveness must be placed through maximization of values of internal and external intangible assets of construction industry such as management innovation, information, investment in technology and R&D and intellectual property. Accordingly in this study, evaluation criteria for intangible assets of construction industry were investigated and classified. Using such criteria, evaluation index and model were established based on the degree of importance of each criterion. The purpose of this study is to review importance of intangible assets in terms of competitiveness and management efficiency of construction industry and to provide basic data for establishment of intangible assets and revitalization of investment.

Purpose: To explore the application prospect of support vector machine (SVM) in supply chain management and its practical application in supply chain performance evaluation practice. Research design, data and methodology: This paper establishes the performance evaluation index system of supply chain management according to the balanced scorecard (BSC) theory, and establishes the SVM model of supply chain management performance evaluation based on the SVM principle. Results: The performance evaluation results of the supply chain of an electric power equipment Co., Ltd. in Harbin established by using the model are consistent with the actual situation, which indicates the nature and accuracy of the possible reflection of the established supply chain performance evaluation model. Conclusions: The results show that SVM model can be used to evaluate enterprise supply chain management performance indicators, and can improve enterprise supply chain management performance, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of the model.

The goal of this research is to develop an evaluation method applying 'Green Management Index' introduced by Korean government to assess overall Green management level of the industrial sector. The method can help to grasp the present condition of Green management in Korea and analyze changes in trend. For this research, business types are classified into 8 categories and each evaluation method is developed according to each category. Green management evaluation was conducted in 2013, targeting 513 enterprises and the result was analyzed comparing that of 2011 to understand changes in trend. The evaluation shows that 1) 'strategy and system' section is tentatively vulnerable than other sections, 2) industry with higher sensitivity towards regulations has higher score, 3) there is a significant gap conducting green management between conglomerates and SMEs especially in 'system' section. The total score was elevated by 3 points compared to 2011. It is considered that the elevation of score was attributed to tightened regulations such as Target Management Scheme. Controlled Entities scored 4 points higher and 'GHG and environmental pollution' section increased by 10 points. Also, there is a wide disparity in green management evaluation between controlled entities and non-controlled entities from 5 points in 2011 to 10 points in 2013.

A bio-check unit and health index were developed to provide information on personal health state with easily available noninvasive measurements and surveys. Four health indices were defined such as cardiovascular index, stress index, obesity index, and management index. Methods were developed to calculate health index scores from measured physiological signals and answer of survey questions. In order to evaluate effectiveness of the health indices, a clinical trial was conducted for 362 persons who visited general hospital for annual health inspection. The cardiovascular index showed a good correlation coefficient of 0.685 with the cardiovascular health graded by a medical doctor. The stress index showed a good correlation coefficient of 0.638 with the results of stress questionnaires being used in the public health center. Once the health index function is added in the bio-check unit, the unit may provide useful contents for personal health management.

The h-index is a popular bibliometric indicator for evaluating individual researchers. However, it has been criticized for its inconsistency with reflecting increased number of citations and disregarding the number of co-authors in a paper. In order to overcome these problems, we examined the g-index and other Hirsch-type indices considering the number of co-authors. Test data collection was extracted from Korean Citation Index database published from 2004 to 2013. The results of this study are as follows: First, g-index is more reliable indicator than h-index with consistency. Second, number of co-authors must be considered to maintain the h-index as an complex indicator applying the quality and the quantity of research performance. Finally, hc-index and gc-index, with fractionalised counting of the papers, can fairly measure the research performance of humanities researchers, and successfully prevent specific disciplines or institutions occupying majority of top rankings.

This study propose a model for railway safety evaluation with which the safety of whole railway system can be evaluated. The evaluation model is to generate a safety index which quantitatively represent the degree of railway safety. Safety index is proposed a function of three indexes; an accident index, safety management index, and safety culture index. This paper describes the first result from the study on the safety target which will be a key starting point toward the development of safety evaluation model. It is recommended that the safety target be composed of several sub-targets that are apportioned to constituent components. It is coneluded that the classification of safety target influence on deciding components or attributes that constitute each sub-indexes; an accident index, safety management index, and safety culture index.

The purpose of this study is to develop a guideline of process capability evaluation and to apply this guideline improving the quality of products, especially in the small and medium enterprises. In this study we deal in the concept of process capability evaluation, the calculation of process capability index, and the application of a case study. Man must compare the state of process with the standards in evaluating of the process capability. Control chart can be used as a yardstick for judgement for the long term period and the distribution shape of histogram for the short term period. Man should regard to the significant figure by the calculation of process capability index.

The information technology, in the digital economy era, does a very important role not only for the country's administrative management innovation but also for the business and for the everyday life. Specifically, the e-business for the company or organization is defined as "using the Internet and IT, rescheduling of business process management activities to increase productivity and efficiency and to create new business opportunities." Thanks to the Korea's recent efforts, overall level of informatization and digitalization is able to receive high praise. But the e-business readiness (e-readiness) level is still expected a lot of room for improvement. In this paper, I try to analyze the informatization level of Korea's by the EIU's e-business readiness index and IT industry competitiveness index, to prepare a full-scale e-business era of global competitiveness through any preparation that could do to improve the situation from the analysis of statistical data.
