  • Bibliographical Description for Revolutionary Historical Archives is created to describe records at the item level. It defines descriptive elements, punctuations, formats and methods. Descriptive elements are composed of 20 elements, each of which is either mandatory or optional. Mandatory elements are: repositories codes, documents codes, dates, creators, title, classification codes, and subject vocabularies. Abstracts were previously included in card cataloging and are removed in the computerized system. New elements, such as "uncontrolled vocabularies," "name of places," "personal names," "organizational structures" and "meetings," are added to allow keyword search. Considering that subject vocabulary searches are the most important in computerized systems, however, Guidelines for the Subject Indexing for Revolutionary Historical Archives as well as Subject Headings, as a result from the Guidelines, are created. The most extraordinary features in Chinese archival description are said to be the Guidelines for the Classification Indexing for Revolutionary Historical Archives and Materials as well as the Classification Scheme, both of which are created to allow subject search of records content. It is because Chinese practice of records management distinguishes the classification for arrangement from that for retrieval. Chinese archival description is, therefore, composed of bibliographic description rules, subject headings, and the classification scheme for retrieval.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze two subject competencies (practical problem-solving capability and independent life capability) reflected in the activity tasks included in the 'home life and safety' area of 12 middle school technology-home economics textbooks in accordance with the 2015 revised curriculum. The analysis criteria were sub-elements of two subject competencies. Seven sub-elements were derived from each competency. Frequency analysis was performed to determine how often the sub-elements were reflected in the activity tasks. The results were as follows. First, with regard to the sub-elements of 'practical problem-solving capability', 'value judgment' was reflected most frequently in the activity tasks followed by 'exemplification of solution', 'logical thinking', 'critical thinking', 'decision-making', 'practical reasoning', and 'evaluation of solutions'. Secondly, the sub-elements of 'independent life capability' were unevenly distributed in the activity tasks. The 'capability to perform conscious living' was reflected most frequently followed by 'development and self-identity', 'time, money, and leisure management', and 'reasonable consumption and resource utilization'. For teachers wanting to teach activity-oriented classes and student participatory classes, the results pinpoint the materials necessary to develop learners' subject competencies by using textbooks from different publishing companies.

  • This study aimed to build on past findings about differences in personal walking experiences by demonstrating what elements were beneficial to participants with different walking habits. Accordingly, this study established the relationships between valued walking elements and people's motivation to walk, by dividing participants into three groups: Group W for people with a walking habit, Group HW for people who walk occasionally but not regularly, and Group NW for people who do not walk habitually. Participants walked a familiar and an unfamiliar route with a wearable device that recorded their heart-rate variability and electrodermal activity. Changes in the biometric data helped to identify the defining moments in each participant's walk. Participants discussed these moments in one-on-one interviews with a researcher to pinpoint their valued walking elements. As a result, this study classified walking elements into six themes: "Surroundings," "Social," "Exploration," "Route Plan," "Physical Exercise," and "Mental Thinking." A walking habit development model was made to show how "Route Plan" and "Exploration" were beneficial to Group NW, "Social" and "Surroundings" were beneficial to Group HW, and "Route Plan," "Mental Thinking," and "Physical Exercise" were beneficial to Group W.

  • The purpose of this study is to show elements when we product the archival authority record elements for automatic organization and production. ISAAR(CPF) and RMSCA are reviewed and analyzed which are functioning as the element of standards description and element of the creator. The research methods are literary reviews from Slectronic Document System and Records Center Automation System in public institution as Electronic Records Management Systems. As a result of the research, archival authority record elements are suggested through electronic approval function and system operating and managing function of Electronic Document System, while the elements which is impossible to use automatic organization and production are suggested by the authority system and archivist, and the description rule.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop detailed items and elements to be included in a national guideline for school library collection which can be used as a basis and standard for establishing collection management policies in individual school libraries. For this purpose, materials related to the collection management of school library were analyzed with the international and national level. As a result, the international materials emphasizes accessibility and resource sharing of digital materials besides quantitative standards of the library collection and deal with the process for the objection collection. In this study, items to be included in the national guidelines are divided into general principles of collection management and collection management guidelines, and elements of the each item are suggested. • This study examines email records management patterns of undergraduate students and their perceptions of university email policy. The research collected data from 317 undergraduate students using a survey based on the five essential elements of email records management: common elements, email creation, email management, email preservation, and perception. Also, an in-depth interview was conducted with 6 undergraduate students, according to the method of university email service: Google, Microsoft, and in-house webmail. As a result, undergraduate students used email as an address book, cloud storage, file storage, and collaboration tool, and they had difficulties in systematically managing the email records according to the records lifecycle. Also, there was a tendency to prefer using an external email platform that can use additional functions to in-house webmail that has limitations in mobile service and preservation of attachments. Thus, this study suggests ways to help undergraduate students manage their email records, including maintaining graduates' email accounts, providing sufficient email storage, and providing email records management training and guidelines for undergraduate students.

  • This research designed and proposed metadata elements for the long-term preservation of digital research outcomes collected and managed in electronic file form. Metadata structure of both domestic and foreign agencies that manage research outcomes and CERIF and PREMIS-preserved preservation metadata were referred to design the metadata elements. The metadata design was divided into research information, bibliographic information and archival information. Research information is divided into project, name and institution, and composed of eight top-level elements and 29 sub-level elements. Bibliographic information is composed of 13 top-level elements as the source of research reports. Archival information is composed of 18 top-level elements and 62 sub-level elements as the elements for context, structure, contents and management process of the electronic records.

  • A variety of sensory elements are used in video advertisements promoting products. Video advertising using visual and auditory elements is a representative means of marketing. The advertising video that promotes the product by using such a sensory element is imprinted on viewers by continuously or repeatedly exposing visual elements such as a logo or a specific image or phrase. Such visual images are used as an effective way to symbolize brand image effectively. If the visual elements were symbolized in the advertising images of most car brands, Kia's K5's advertising images symbolized auditory elements, or sounds, to produce K5's unique advertising images. In this paper, we compared Kia's K5 advertisement image symbolizing auditory elements with other brands' advertisement image of other companies, and studied the techniques and effects used in advertisement image production.

  • For rapid development of science and economic growth, modern constructs are higher and large in order to use confined areas efficiently. Also, it is very important to manage efficient data for safety and maintenance of those constructs. The estimation for structural safety can be evaluated by structural durability and safety using data which surveys various elements. So, it should be based on synthetic and efficient data which includes various elements with related safety of those structures. Then, it will be managed properly and economically. Accordingly, in this study, we would approach efficient maintenance management using the GIS with data from structural-safety diagnosis.
