Philp Lim, Alexander Wang and Jason Wu are the American fashion designers as descendants of Chinese immigrants. They had the honor of being given the Swarovski Awards- new premier fashion designer- from CFDA(Council of Fashion Designers of America). The purpose of this study were to investigate the characteristics of their collection, and offered the informations for Korean designers entering the American market. This research categorized characteristics of these designers'- whole characteristics and the characteristics of details such as formal characteristics, optimistic characteristics, tactile characteristics-, and fashion styles from the S/S season of 2009 to the F/W season of 2010 were analyzed. These young and male designers being received attention as a star, didn't make creative art pieces. But they made pragmatic, commercial, and con-temporary works in whole characteristics and succeeded in their fashion business like other American designers. On the other hand they oriented high fashion clearly in terms of the detail characteristics - their own accent color, tiny change in variety, unique material, delicate ornaments. Therefore Lim created chic and stylish, Wang made a sporty street style, Wu made a luxury style with mannish and casual through work characteristics suitable for their costumer.

This study analyzed the dietary status of Southeast Asian workers living in South Korea in order to provide basic data to develop a program that allows workers to map desirable eating habits while living in Korea. Questionnaires were completed by 251 Southeast East Asian workers living in South Korea. From our study, we found that respondents ate three meals a day, and Vietnamese had less regular meal times than others. Thai, Cambodian, and Myanmar workers ate snacks several times a day, as they did in their own countries. For adapting Korean food, Vietnamese and Cambodian workers had difficulties due to spicy and salty flavors while Thai and Myanmar works had difficulties due to unfamiliar ingredients and cooking method. Thai workers were the fastest to adapt to Korean food, and the Thai ratio of eating homeland food daily was highest. Male respondents ate more often than women. Workers had access to cooking facilities in their house and usually ate more homeland food than workers that did not have access to cooking facilities. By providing understanding of dietary patterns of Southeast Asian workers, these results can be used as basic data to develop a program for Korean food adaptation.

The works of the Futurism were developed along with manifestos and statement in publishing. Futurist aesthetic and ideological agenda on futurist fashion displayed in manifestos on clothes. Futurist fashion propagated in consummate Futurist style through the written manifesto. The Futurists anticipated much of modern fashion phenomenon. In Futurist Men's Clothing, men's clothing is aggressive, agile, dynamic, simple and comfortable, hygienic, gay, luminous, volatile, asymmetric and variable. In Futurist Manifesto on Woman's Clothing, woman is now a principal agent of revolt, a walking synthesis of the audacious, performance-oriented aesthetic of the futurist universe. For Futurist woman's clothing they claimed ingenuity, daring, and economy. The Futurist Manifesto of Italian Hat was continued with their provocative style and radical ambition. Their innovation will rescue a lagging Italian expert and restore the Italian male to his former Iatin Vigor. Speed, dynamic, utility, and funtionality are the main characters. In Futurist Manifesto of Italian Cravat, Futurist cravat is called Anti-cravatta, which is anti-traditional style and made of unconventional materials. In general, the Futurist argued for clothes that promoted simple and functionality. These Futurist fashion project were invention of the new style, avant-garde style, in daily wear and were realized for the renewal of taste in clothing design as a modernizing factors.

This study has begun as to identify various forms of personified Hindu deitiesand its goal is to understand the symbols of Hindu which are the backgrounds of the modern Hindu culture and present the hairstyle images of ancient Indians through the Hindu deities of the era. Scope of the research has been determined to six major deitiesamong those from Hindu culture that affect the Indian society and the images of Hindu deitiesappeared in the Indian miniatures and sculptures were studied as times changed. The deities could be identified by symbols maintained in common by each divinity as the Hindu deities were diversified through the long history. Examining the transitions in hairstyles and headstyles of Hindu deities, hair shapes of spiraling curls were expressed in the ancient Hindu sculptures from $2^{nd}$ century to $6^{th}$ century due to the influence of early Indian Buddhism. In Hindu paintings from $15^{th}$ century to $19^{th}$ century, beards and sideburns were expressed in male deities due to the influence from Mugul arts, while feminine characters were emphasized in goddesses with long loose hair. Works are each presented encapsulating the results of the researches on Vishnu and Lakshmi from these Hindu deities. It is attempted to find Hindu image and present directions for developments of modern beauty by supplying motives to modern hair design by researching the hairstyles of Hindu deities.

The aim of this study is to investigate the actual state for the development of the thermally comfortable uniform for workers on a low temperature storage. Observation, interview and survey were executed focusing on the environment, clothing, and human factors which have effects on the comfort of workers. Of 400 distributed, 253 questionnaires were analyzed through descriptives, frequency, ANOVA, t-test, multi-response analysis, correlation analysis with SPSS 12.0. The results are following. Coming and going between a selling area and cold storages, the workers showed to experience a big temperature gap. They indicated to feel cold on face and hands which were not covered by clothing and have got sick because of low temperature. The workers wanted the uniform made of functional fabrics, especially heat insulation fabrics. Female workers rather than male workers, the older, and the longer their working period were, the more uncomfortable they revealed to feel. The workers who works on the daily products part or mainly on the freezer appeared to feel cold more than any other workers. In conclusion, it was found that the uniform which consider steady state and unsteady state heat transfer together must be developed.

Digital signage is becoming part of daily life across a wide range of visual advertisements segments market used in stations, hotels, retail stores, hotels, etc. The current digital signage system used in market is generally works on limited user interactivity with static contents. In this paper, a new approach is proposed using computer vision based dynamic audience adaptive cost-effective digital signage system. The proposed design uses the Camera attached Raspberry Pi Open source platform to employ the real-time audience interaction using computer vision algorithms to extract facial features of the audience. The real-time facial features are extracted using Haar Cascade algorithm which are used for audience gender specific rendering of dynamic digital signage content. The audience facial characterization using Haar Cascade is evaluated on the FERET database with 95% accuracy for gender classification. The proposed system, developed and evaluated with male and female audiences in real-life environments camera embedded raspberry pi with good level of accuracy.

Objetives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Oryeong-san on adult whole-body atopic dermatitis. Methods : We treated a 21-year-old male patient who have adult whole-body atopic dermatitis by Korean medicine. This treatment was enforced from 2019.5.25 to 2019.6.29. And we have confirmed the improvement of itching, rashes and oozing. We recorded photos that includes change of symptoms. Results : After the treatments was done, the grade of VAS and SCORAD was decreased. The VAS grade was decreased from grade 8 to grade 2. The SCORAD score was decreased from 72.1 to 52.1. And itching, rashes, oozing were clearly decreased. Conclusions : Oryeong-san has effect on decreasing itching, rashes and oozing. Also, sleeping time reduced due to itchness was normalized. Thus, It is able that Oryeong-san works on skin desease like atopic dermatitis.

To put it simply, thing theory is a study of meaningful capacities of materiality. Although T. S. Eliot regarded pathetic fallacy as the bad example of objective correlatives in his modernism poetry theory, it is clear that many objects in literary works reflect diverse human desires. Among many, Victorian sensation novels are the most distinct genre where the various paraphernalia in them indicate the distorted and exaggerated greed of the industrial revolution era. Whereas the male protagonists are usually related with the norms objects of authority such as portrait and locket, the female characters' connection with cosmetics and white dress shows their oppressed and fragile position in the patriarchal and hierarchical society. In the (post)modern society, the ambiguity of things has grown rapidly due to the increasing discrepancy between objects and things. In special, the new journalism and the psychological realism novels often reveal the post-truth phenomenon because consumerized audience depend more upon the attraction and affect than the mere evidence and facts. For the individual, according to object relations theory, these alternative facts are rather internalized into their mind as the internal object when they are motivated by the non/contact with primary caregivers in their childhood. The dominant material imagery in (post)modern fiction becomes the site of resistance because of their reconstructed and extended meaning. The object relations theory and thing theory can be effectively used to uncover the complicated meanings of desired objects by using the human-object's meaningful relations and early mental images that are secretly alive still in the present.

This paper explores how gender, sexuality, momism and national security are intertwined in the POW fictions of the Korean War, revealing the blurred demarcation line of the private and the public during the Cold War era. Works such as Night and Valley of Fire reveal the weakened manhood of the soldiers who were brainwashed or easily succumbed to the enemy during their imprisonment. The novels commonly attribute their weakness to materialism and spiritual corruption prevalent in the society, in addition to mass media including TV. Moreover, a social critic like Phillip Wily provokes the polemical idea of "Momism" which was ardently circulated among some male circles. In Manchurian Candidate, momism is integrated into incest and homosexuality, epitomized by Raymond and his mother. The novel illustrates how momism can be dangerous to national security and devastate the growth of manhood. Mrs. Iselin, a masculinized middle-aged woman, becomes a 'monster' whose overweening desire for power overrides any maternal concern for her son. Such 'monstrosity' exposes the danger of a woman who can castrate a man and manipulate a society. To a certain extent, the same tendency can be found in Turncoat and Night. Both novels reveal how the love of mother brings detrimental impact on boys who become prey to the communist's brainwashing in the POW camps. In short, the POW novels betray society's patriarchal concerns with women's emerging power threatening its ideology.

In Faulkner's many works, most Mulattoes are represented as tragic characters who feel confused with their racial identity and are sacrificed by the Southern racism in the end. However, in Go Down, Moses Lucas Beauchamp is an exceptional mulatto in that he survives the Southern racism and achieves some dignity as a human. It is because he maintains the relationship with his family and environment as a skilled farmer. Although Southerners idealized their lives in plantations as nature-friendly and ecological way of life, plantation owners had little direct relationship with land as plantations were cultivated by black slaves' labor. Therefore, white landowners had little knowledge about cultivation and ecological awareness. Although Lucas Beauchamp is criticized as he has the strong will to power and patriarchal attitude, it is partly caused from endeavor to overcome the suppression as a black male whose masculinity is denied in the Southern society. In spite of his limitation, he shows the possibility to escape from the curse prevailing in the South, which abuses land and other races through the relationship with others and land. He has positive aspects in that he has genuine relationship with land and others and takes his responsibility for others, searching the most suitable way to survive as a black.
