조선시대 상류 주택의 주거공간 이용에 관한 연구 - 통과의례를 중심으로 - (A study on rhe space use of upper class residence in the Yi dynasty - On the basis of rites of passage -)

  • This study aims to find out about the traditional life and consciousness of the Yi dynasty used its residence as the place where rites of passage were heid. This study is tuying to classify the rites of passage according to the procedures by which those rituals are being held and to analyze them based upon the space where rituals take place. The results of research and analysis are as follows : 1. The most frequently used area in the house as a variety of ceremonies were held includes SARANGBANG and DAECHUNG belonging to SARANGCHE and ANBANG and DAECHUNG that belong to ANCHE. So naturally these areas are located in the main space of the house. 2. ANMADANG as well as SARANGMADANG was used as the main walkway in the house and as the main place for the ceremonies such as marriage and funenal. MADANG space in the house played a semi-indoor-space fole andperformed the functions which limited indoor space couldu's carry out when ceremonies took place. 3. It seems that SADANG had net been utilized in the daily routine but located within the residence due to the ritualism.

  • The navigation problem of robot is one of the main themes to deal with conficts or interferences between obstacles and the robot itself In this case, while the robot avoids obstacles on the space, the passage route should be determined efficiently. In order to solve problems above, we have come up with the distance field space medel (DFM) and then, under known environment, we have presented the distance field A algorithm for passage route path search. In this research, the method of performing the 3-dimensional passage route path search of robot under unknown environment is proposed. It is shown that the authors can build the distance search model the does not need space division by taking into account of sensor information to a distance field space model, and constructing this information as virtual obstacle information.

와류실식 소형 디젤 기관의 연소실 형상이 기관 성능에 미치는 영향(I) (The Effect of Combustion Chamber Shape on the Performance of Swirl Chamber in Diesel Engine (I))

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance of swirl combustion chamber diesel engine by changing the jet passage area and its angle, the depth and shape of the piston top cavity(main chamber). The performance of diesel engine with newly changed swirl combustion chamber was tested through the experimental conditions as engine speed, load and injection timing etc. The test results were compared and analyzed. The rate of fuel consumption was affected significantly by the jet passage area at the high speed and load, by the depth of the piston top cavity at the low speed and load. The exhaust smoke density and exhaust gas temperature depended sensitively on variation of the injection timing rather than the shape of the combustion chamber within the experimental conditions.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the causes of conflict that arise from public pedestrian passages installed in apartment complexes through a survey of residents' perceptions and to investigate the effects on the satisfaction with and necessity of the public pedestrian passage. This has significance as a preliminary research into determining solutions to conflict related to public pedestrian passages that are open spaces, accessible 24 hours a day to pedestrians including people who live outside of the apartment complex. The result of the residents' perception survey showed that there is conflict due to the public pedestrian passage. The main problem was the noise-related variables. While management and safety variables were also perceived as problems, privacy and ownership infringement variables were not. These problems were reduced to four factors through a factor analysis: unfavorable incidents, environment management, ownership infringement, and safety crimes. Analyzing the effects of the above factors on the satisfaction with the apartment complex, satisfaction with the public pedestrian passage and the necessity of the public pedestrian passage, demonstrated that the unfavorable incidents factor influenced all the variables. The safety crimes factor, which is an extended concept of the unfavorable incidents, affected both the satisfaction and necessity of the public pedestrian passage. The ownership infringement factor was found to affect the satisfaction of the public pedestrian passage only, and the environment management factor did not affect all the variables. In planning and managing public pedestrian passages, avoiding incidents and crimes should be considered as a priority to increase the satisfaction of residents and solve conflicts.

  • This paper studies the economic replacement method for production facilities which requires huge investment but are necessary for higher productivity and competability of products. That is, the general models for the decision of economic life of properties which minimizes the total costs throughout the usage life(Life cycle costs) are generated. Main factors which make influences for the decision of econmic life can be divided by three. These are the change of salvage value, repair and maintenance costs, and availability of production facilities with the passage of usage time. In this paper, the real world data for these three factors are collected and analyzed for the extraction of representative standard forms with the passage of time. And general models for economic replacement methods and optimal usage terms are presented through tables with the combination of the standard forms of these three main factors.

  • 항공기용 엔진제어기는 주어진 환경에서 엔진의 최대 효율로 안전하게 운영될 수 있도록 엔진의 추력을 조절하고, 다른 보기 시스템들의 상태 감시를 수행하여 엔진의 모든 권한을 전자식으로 통합 제어하는 장치이다. 엔진제어기는 매우 높은 온도 환경에서도 정상 작동해야 한다. 따라서 엔진제어기는 내부 발열과 외부 유입 열을 고려한 최적의 방열설계가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 엔진제어기의 진공 브레이징 냉각유로를 설계하였다. 냉각유로의 전체 압력손실을 계산하기 위해 기본 형상에 대한 주손실과 입출구의 급격 확대/축소부, 유로 선회를 위한 밴드부 등의 비선형 형상에 대한 부차적손실을 계산하였다. 압력손실 이론식과 전산유체역학(Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD) 해석을 활용한 합성추정법을 소개하여 각 비선형 형상에 대한 손실계수 계산하였다.

Numerical Investigation on Aerodynamic Performance of a Centrifugal Fan with Splitter Blades

  • This paper presents a numerical investigation on the aerodynamic performance according to the application of splitter blades in an impeller of a centrifugal fan used for a refuse collection system. Numerical analysis of a centrifugal fan was carried out by solving three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with the shear stress transport turbulence model. A validation of numerical results was conducted by comparison with experimental data for the pressure and efficiency. From analyses of the internal flow field of the reference fan, the losses by the reverse-flows were observed in the region of the blade passage. In order to reduce these losses and enhance fan performance, two splitter blades were applied evenly between the main blades, and centrifugal impellers having the different numbers of the main blades were tested with their application. Throughout the numerical analyses of the centrifugal fan with splitter blades, it was found that the reverse-flow regions in the blade passage can be reduced by controlling the main blade numbers with splitter blades. The application of splitter blades in a centrifugal fan leads to significant improvement in the overall fan performance.

  • The present study investigates heat/mass transfer and flow characteristics in a ribbed rotating passage with turning region. The duct has an aspect ratio (W/H) of 0.5 and a hydraulic diameter ($D_h$) of 26.67 mm. Rib turbulators are attached in the cross arrangement on the leading and trailing surfaces of the passage. The ribs have a rectangular cross section of $2\;mm\;(e){\times}\;mm\;(w)$ and an attack angle of $70^{\circ}$. The pitch-to-rib height ratio (p/e) is 7.5, and the rib height-to-hydraulic diameter ratio ($e/D_h$) is 0.075. The rotation number ranges from 0.0 to 0.20 while the Reynolds number is constant at 10,000. To verify the heat/mass transfer augmentation, internal flow structures are calculated for the same conditions using a commercial code FLUENT 6.1. The heat transfer data of the smooth duct for various Ro numbers agree well with not only the McAdams correlation but also the previous studies. The cross-rib turbulators significantly enhance heat/mass transfer in the passage by disturbing the main flow near the surfaces and generating one asymmetric cell of secondary flow skewing along the ribs. Because the secondary flow is induced in the first-pass and turning region, heat/mass transfer discrepancy is observed in the second-pass even for the stationary case. When the passage rotates, heat/mass transfer and flow phenomena change. Especially, the effect of rotation is more dominant than the effect of the ribs at the higher rotation number in the upstream of the second-pass.

The pitch-to-rib height ratio (p/e) is 7.5, and the rib height-to-hydraulic diameter ratio (e/$D_h$) is 0.075. The rotation number ranges from 0.0 to 0.20 while the Reynolds number is constant at 10,000. To verify the heat/mass transfer augmentation, internal flow structures are calculated for the same conditions using a commercial code FLUENT 6.1. The results show that a pair of vortex cells are generated due to the symmetric geometry of the rib arrangement, and heat/mass transfer is augmented up to $Sh/Sh_0=2.9$ averagely, which is higher than that of the cross-ribbed case presented in the previous study for the stationary case. With the passage rotation, the main flow in the first-pass deflects toward the trailing surface and the heat transfer is enhanced on the trailing surface. In the second-pass, the flow enlarges the vortex cell close to the leading surface, and the small vortex cell on the trailing surface side contracts to disappear as the passage rotates faster. At the highest rotation number ($R_O=0.20$), the turn-induced single vortex cell becomes identical regardless of the rib configuration so that similar local heat/mass transfer distributions are observed in the fuming region for the cross- and parallel-ribbed case.

  • In this study, we attempted to elucidate the cultural characteristics of Korean food based on a traditional understanding on the Korean novel. To achieve this, food characteristics related to 'rites of passage' were analyzed in the representative Korean literary work "Hon-bool", which describes the life of a first-son's wife every three generations in the going to ruin but historic 'Lee's family of Maean district' family and the life of the common 'Geomeong-gul' people who lived with farming on the Lee's land at Namwon of Junbook province in the 1930~1940s, during the Japanese Colonial rule. Every nation possesses rites of passage at important points in life, such as at birth, age of majority, wedding and death. Korean culture, in particular, has several memorial rites relating to birth, death and passage into the afterlife in which special foods are prepared. In this manner, ceremonial foods represent the Korean peoples' traditional vision of the universe and life. The book "Hon-bool" describes these traditions. Especially, the book describes the table-settings related to the main character's childbirth, first birthday, wedding and death. Therefore "Hon-bool" represents a living history of Korean traditional food and the work of storytelling through the traditional understanding is expected that perform an important role in making of cultural contents of Korean foods.
