In this Paper, We use Maximum-Intensity Projection(MIP) algorithms. Maximum-Intensity Projection algorithms currently used for construction of magnetic resonance angiograms. The blood flow in a volume of interest is represented by bright intensities in the MR data volume. The flow within the vasculature shows up in the projections plane. By relating the intensities of the pixel to their location in the slice, the total number of pixels considered for the projection plane was reduced, thus saving calculation time. The algorithm was written in visual C++.

Susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) is well known for detecting the presence of hemorrhagic transformation, microbleeds and the susceptibility of vessel signs in acute ischemic stroke. But in some cases, it can provide the tissue perfusion state as well. We describe a case of a patient with hyperacute ischemic infarction that had a slightly hypodense, patchy lesion at the left thalamus on the initial SWI, with a left proximal posterior cerebral artery occlusion on a magnetic resonance (MR) angiography and delayed time-to-peak on an MR perfusion performed two hours after symptom onset. No obvious abnormal signals at any intensity were found on the initial diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). On a follow-up MR image (MRI), an acute ischemic infarction was seen on DWI, which is the same location as the lesion on SWI. The hypointensity on the initial SWI reflects the susceptibility artifact caused by an increased deoxyhemoglobin in the affected tissue and vessels, which reflects the hypoperfusion state due to decreasing arterial flow. It precedes the signal change on DWI that reflects a cytotoxic edema. This case highlights that, in some hyperacute stages of ischemic stroke, hypointensity on an SWI may be a finding before the hyperintensity is seen on a DWI.
To determine the utility of spiral computed tomography(CT) in the evaluation of carotid artery stenosis, spiral CT images of 10 patients were compared with both ones of conventional angiography and magnetic resonance(MR) angiography. The severeness of stenosis was determined for each Internal carotid artery on the basis of arterial narrowness : mild stenosis : 40 % or less, moderate stenosis = $40{\sim}70%$, severe stenosis = greater than 70 % of arterial narrowness. The short examination and clear depiction of the arterial lumen In areas of complex or low flow make CT angiography attractive alternative to MR angiography. Spiral CT angiography shows normal and abnormal carotid anatomy well when compared with conventional anglography.
This study is aimed to optimize a location of region of interest (ROI) in test bolus carotid contrast enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (CE-MRA) at 3.0T. A total of consecutive 270 patients with no cardiovascular and vessel diseases were selected. Patients underwent elliptical centric 3D CE-MRA with the test bolus technique to identify the individual arterial arrival time. Quantitative measurements were performed by drawing ROIs of $25mm^2$ and signal intensities (SI) were measured in the center of common carotid artery (CCA), internal carotid artery (ICA) and aortic arch (AA). As a result, ROIs located within AA showed a significantly clarified arterial peak and over three times increased SI, while no significant arterial peak time differences were observed compared to ROIs located within CCA. In conclusion, it was demonstrated that the aortic arch is the optimal position to locate ROI in test bolus images of the carotid CE-MRA.
Purpose : To assess the clinical utility of turbo contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography(CE MRA) in the evaluation of the aortic arch and its major branches and to compare the image quality of CE MRA among different coils used. Materials and Methods : Turbo three-phase dynamic CE MRA encompassing aortic arch and its major branches was prospectively performed after manual bolus IV injection of contrast material in 29 patients with suspected cerebrovascular diseases at 1.0T MR unit. the raw data were obtained with 3-D FISH sequence (TR 5.4ms, TE 2.3ms, flip angle 30, slab thickness 80nm, effective slice thickness 4.0mm, matrix size $100{\times}256$, FOV 280mm). Total data acquisition time was 4. to 60 seconds. We subjectively evaluated the imge quality with three-rating scheme : "good" for unequivocal normal finding, "fair" for relatively satisfactory quality to diagnose 'normal' despite intravascular low signal, and "poor" for equivocal diagnosis or non-visualization of the origin or segment of the vessels due to low signal or artifacts which needs catheter angiography. At the level of the carotid bifurcation, it was compared with conventional 2D-TOF MRA image. Overall image quality was also compared visually and quantitatively by measuring signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of the ascending aorta, the innominate artery and both common carotid arteries among the three different coils used(CP body array(n=12), CP neck array(n=9), and head-and-neck(n=8). Results : Demonstration of the aortic arch and its major branches was rated as "good" in 55% (16/29) and "fair" in 34%(10/29). At the level of the carotid bifurcation, image quality of turbo CE MRA was same as or better than conventional 2D-TOF MRA in 65% (17/26). Overall image quality and SNR were significantlygreater with CP body array coil than with CP neck array or head-and-neck coil. Conclusions : Turbo CE MRA can be used as a screening exam in the evaluation of the major branches of the aortic arch from their origin to the skull base. Overall imagequality appears to be better with CP body array coil than with CP neck array coil or head-and-neck coil.

It is a well-known clinical fact that contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography exaggerates vertebral arterial ostial stenosis and sometimes shows pseudostenosis. Considering the clinical significance of a lesion in the posterior circulation ischemia, the importance of an accurate imaging diagnosis of ostial stenosis should not be underestimated. We were able to differentiate pseudo stenosis of the ostium from true stenosis using thin-slab maximum-intensity-projection(MIP) images which are thought to be helpful for minimizing standard full thickness MIP images.
