비접촉식 정밀 변위 측정용 자기센서 모델링 (Modeling of a Non-contact Type Precision Magnetic Displacement Sensor)

  • Our purpose is to develop a precision magnetic displacement sensor that has sub-micron resolution and small size probe. To achieve this, we first have tried to establish mathematical models of a magnetic sensor in this paper. The inductance model that presents basic measuring principle of a magnetic sensor is based on equivalent magnetic circuit method. Especially we have concentrated on modeling of magnetic flux leakage and magnetic flux fringing. The induced model is verified by experimental results. The model, including the magnetic flux leakage and flux fringing effects, is in good agreement with the experimental data. Subsequently, based on the augmented model, we will design magnetic sensor probe in order to obtain high performances and to scale down the probe.

  • This paper presents mathematical models for high speed permanent-magnet synchronous machine. The mathematical method with two successive steps is used to estimate design parameter as well as the output power. At first, mathematical model for a linkage flux problem is employed to calculate the number of winding turns and stack length of armature core. The magnetic circuit model for an induced voltage and the electric circuit model for a current are modeled. The output powers of the electrical generator were evaluated by the mathematical techniques. The results of this mathematical methods predict the specifications of the machine and can be applied in the design stage of the electrical machine.

  • In this paper, the new claw pole type linear stepping motor(CPLSM) is proposed. And the magnetic equivalent circuit of CPLSM is derived by the structure of the CPLSM. The design parameter and the magnetic flux density of CPLSM are performed with three-dimensional finite element method.

  • In this paper, a magnetic circuit of plastic magnet roller for laser printer is presented. The magnetization direction of plastic magnet is decided by the flux distribution of injection mold during the manufacturing process. The injection mold is designed and analysed to fit the design specification. The experiment showed that the flux distribution of a magnet is good agreement of the given specification.

  • Low voltage circuit breakers which interrupt rapidly and raise the reliability of power supply are widly used in power distribution systems. In the paper, it was investigated how much Interrupting capability was improved by correcting the shape of the contact system in molded case circuit breaker(below MCCB), Prior to the interrupting testing, it was necessary for the optimum design to analyze magnetic forces on the contact system, generated by current and flux density. This paper presents both our compuational analysis and test results contact system in MCCB.

  • This paper presents optimal design of tooth and yoke width for increasing torque density when designing concentrated winding Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) which is used currently. In case of IPM, characteristic of motor chages according to saturation, thus design consib dering saturation should be done. This paper proposed method to decide tooth and yoke width using magnetic equivalent circuit with calculated magnetic resistance. This method provide less effort and time than FEM using optimal design when deciding tooth and yoke width. Proposed method and FEM are compared and verified.

  • In order to improve the capability of magnetic circuit, magnetic materials are used for all kinds of electromagnetic energy-conversion devices. This paper presents the analysis method considering magnetic properties of the magnetic material and analyzes that the effects of magnetic materials. In addition, it is described that the requirements of magnetic materials for the improvement of electric machines. Several application examples using a metal powder in electromagnetic energy conversion devices is introduced.

Electromotive Force Characteristics of Current Transformer According to the Magnetic Properties of Ferromagnetic Core

  • The most common structure of the current transformer (CT) consists of a length of wire wrapped many times around a silicon steel ring passed over the circuit being measured. Therefore, the primary circuit of CT consists of a single turn of the conductor, with a secondary circuit of many tens or hundreds of turns. The primary winding may be a permanent part of the current transformer, with a heavy copper bar to carry the current through the magnetic core. However, when the large current flows into a wire, it is difficult to measure its magnitude of current because the core is saturated and the core shows magnetic nonlinear characteristics. Therefore, we proposed a newly designed CT which has an air gap in the core to decrease the generated magnetic flux. Adding the air gap in the magnetic path increases the total magnetic reluctance against the same magnetic motive force (MMF). Using a ferrite core instead of steel also causes the generation of low magnetic flux. These features can protect the magnetic saturation of the CT core compared with the steel core. This technique can help the design of the CT to obtain a special shape and size.

  • In this paper, a levitation control circuit for a magnetic levitation system supplied with a battery is designed. The control circuit consists of DSP, 4-quadrant chopper, and gap sensor as feedback sensors. Moreover the DSP includes PWM generator, A/D converter, etc. The feedback signals from gap sensors go into A/D converter of DSP to compare with reference. As a result, The design procedures of the levitation control circuit and battery power distribution system are described and basic experiment results are shown.

  • In these days the hybrid interrupters are widely used for medium voltage class circuit breakers. In the design of the hybrid interrupter, the shape of the short-circuit ring is one of the most important design parameters. Recently the investigation into the phase difference between arc current and magnetic field due to the shape variation of the short circuit ring has been conducted. In this paper, the results of eddy current analyses in the hybrid interrupter and test result are presented.
