적층판 해석시 형상비 증가에 따른 종방향 모멘트의 무시효과 (The Effect of Neglecting the Longitudinal Moment Terms in Analyzing Laminates with Increasing Aspect Ratio)

  • 건설관련 설계기술자들에게는 첨단 복합재료구조에 대한 이론이 너무 어려워서 간단하면서도 쉽게 적용할 수 있는 정확한 방법을 필요로 하고 있다. 몇 가지 섬유 배향각을 가진 적층판은 층수가 증가하면 D16, B16, D26 및 B26 강성이 감소하게 되어 특별직교이방성 판처럼 거동함을 밝히고, 간단한 공식들을 개발하여 발표한 바 있다. 대부분의 교량이나 건물의 상판은 형상비가 큰 경우가 많은데, 이런 구조물의 평형방정시에 대한 종방향 모멘트항(Mx)의 영향은 매우 작아서, 더욱 간단한 해석이 가능하다. 본 논문에는 이러한 문제들에 대한 연구 결과를 제시하였다.

Saccharomycopsis lipolytica의 온도감수성 변이균주의 분리 및 특성 (Isolation and characterization of temperature-sensitive mutant of Saccharomycopsis lipolytica)

  • Saccharomycopsis lipolytica의 isocitrate lyase에 대한 온도감수성 변이의 특성과 이 효소의 생화학적성질을 조사하기 위한 기초연구로서 isocitrate lyase 결손변이 균주인 MX9-11(Icl-)로부터 온도감수성을 나타내는 복귀 변이균주를 3균주 분리하고 그중 활성의 회복이 가장 높은 MX9-11RX8 균주의 성질을 조사하였다. MX9-11RX8 복귀 변이균주는 탄소원으로서 초산을 사용하였을 때 온도의 증가에 따라서 isocitrate lyase의 생성량과 비생성 속도가 감소하여 33$^{\circ}C$에서는 거의 효소를 합성하지 않았으며, 온도를 23$^{\circ}C$에서 33$^{\circ}C$로 올렸을 때 효소의 합성은 바로 정지하였지만 균체증식은 계속되었다. 한편 n-hexadecane을 탄소원으로 사용하였을 때에도 온도감수성을 나타내었으며, 온도의 shift up 후에도 isocitric acid 생산은 거의 변화가 없었다.

골격성 제 III급 부정교합 환자의 상하악 동시이동술시 LeFort I 상악골절단술의 술후 안정성에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE POSTOPERATIVE STABILITY OF LEFORT I OSTEOTOMY IN THE TWO-JAW SURGERY OF THE SKELETAL CLASS III MALOCCLUSION PATIENTS)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the postoperative stability of LeFort I osteotomy in two-jaw surgery of skeletal class III malocclusion and to help the establishment of treatment planning in patients with a skeletal class III malocclusion in the future. Materials and Methods: The lateral cephalograms of 14 patients who had been underwent two-jaw surgery via one-piece LeFort I osteotomy were traced and the landmarks were identified. Repeated tracings and construction of reference planes were done. Comparisons were made from the immediate postoperative to late postoperative results of each landmarks on the horizontal and vertical directions. Conclusions: 1. The horizontal changes of landmark ANS, point A, PNS and Mx6Rt between immediate postoperative to late postoperative data were statistically insignificant(p>0.05). 2. The vertical changes of landmark ANS, point A, PNS, Mx6Cr and Mx6Rt between immediate postoperative to late postoperative data were statistically insignificant(p>0.05). 3. The horizontal change of landmark Mx6Cr between immediate postoperative to late postoperative data was statistically significant(p<0.05). 4. Results showed that it was stable that one-piece LeFort I osteotomy in two-jaw surgery of skeletal class III malocclusion.

탄탈륨 함유 9%Cr 페라이트/마르텐사이트 강의 미세조직 및 기계적 특성 (Microstructural and Mechanical Properties of Ta-bearing 9%Cr Ferritic/Martensitic Steels)

  • It was evaluated that the microstructural and mechanical properties of Ta-bearing 9Cr-0.5Mo-2W ferritic/martensitic experimental steels. All the experimental steels showed the tempered martensitic microstructures, and $M_{23}C_6$ carbides, whose sizes were ranged from 200 to 300 nm, were easily observed at both boundaries of the prior austenite grain and the martensite lath. In addition, a relatively large Nb-rich MX carbonitrides were intermittently detected at the prior austenite grain boundaries, whereas a lot of Vrich MX carbonitrides, whose mean diameter was less than 50 nm, were observed randomly at both boundaries. Ta was mainly incorporated into the V-rich MX carbonitrides rather than the Nb-rich ones and their content was spanned from 5 to 20 at.%. Ta contents within the MX precipitates also increased as the content of Ta increased. Because the Ta addition into the steels would be attributed to the precipitation strengthening, solid solution strengthening and lath width reduction, it was shown that the mechanical properties, including hardness, tensile strength and creep rate of the 9%Cr-0.5Mo-2W steels were improved by the increase of Ta content. Especially, 9Cr-0.5Mo-2W-0.3V-0.05Nb-0.14Ta steel was revealed to be relatively excellent in the application for the SFR fuel cladding.

Protoporphyrinogen Oxidase (Protox) 유전자 과다발현 제초제 저항성 형질전환 벼의 생육저해 기작 (Mechanism of Growth Inhibition in Herbicide-Resistant Transgenic Rice Overexpressing Protoporphyrinogen Oxidase (Protox) Gene)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 다양한 생물종의 Protox 유전자 과다발현 제초제 저항성 형질전환 벼의 저항성 수준과 생육저해 원인이 생육시기별 tetrapyrrole 중간물질 축적과 대사 경로 물질, 활성산소 발생, 지질과산화 작용 및 항산화 효소 능력과 관련성이 있는지를 조사하는데 있다. Myxococcus xanthus(MX, MX1, PX), Arabidopsis thaliana(AP31, AP36, AP37) 및 인간(H45, H48, H49) Protox 과다발현 형질전환벼는 비형질전환벼에 비해 oxyfluorfen에 각각 43~65, 41~72 및 17~70배 저항성을 보였다. 다양한 생물종의 Protox 유전자 과다발현 제초제 저항성 형질전환 벼 중에 일부 라인은 다른 광조건하에서 정상적인 생육을 보인 반면에 일부 라인은 초장 및 생체중 감소가 야기되었다. 그러나 일관성 있게 파종 후 7일과 14일에 초장의 감소가 야기 되었던 형질전환 라인은 AP37뿐이었다. 또한 이들 형질전환 벼 라인들은 저광 및 암조건보다 고광조건하에서 초장 및 생체중 감소가 뚜렷하였다. 파종 후 7일째 Proto IX 축적은 AP31, AP37 및 H48에서 비형질전환벼에 비해 유의적으로 많았고, 파종 후 14일째에는 PX, AP37 및 H48에서 유의적으로 많았다. 파종 후 7일째 Mg-Proto IX은 일부 라인(H41과 H48)을 제외하고 그리고 Mg-Proto IX monomethyl ester는 MX, MX1, PX를 제외한 형질전환 라인 간에 차이가 없었다. 비록 terapyrrole 중간물질이 축적 되었더라도 이들 축적량은 Protox 과다발현 형질전환벼의 생육을 저해 하는데 충분하지 않았을 것으로 생각된다. 또한 활성산소종 ($H_2O_2$${O_2}^{{\cdot}_-}$), MDA, ALA 합성 및 엽록소 함량에서도 형질전환 라인간에 유의적인 차이가 인정되지 않아 tetrapyrrole 축적량이 형질전환 벼의 생육저해에 충분하지 못했음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 일부 형질전환벼에서 초기 생육저해는 어떤 단일 요인에 기인되는 것보다 복합적인 요인에 의해 기인되는 것으로 생각된다.

미지물체를 안전하게 잡기 위한 6축 로봇손가락 힘/모멘트센서의 개발 (Development of a 6-axis Robot's Finger Force/Moment Sensor for Stably Grasping an Unknown Object)

  • This paper describes the development of a 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor, which measures forces Fx, Fy, Fz, and moments Mx, My, Mz simultaneously, for stably grasping an unknown object. In order to safely grasp an unknown object using the robot's gripper, it should measure the force in the gripping direction and the force in the gravity direction, and perform the force control using the measured forces. Thus, the robot's gripper should be composed of 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor that can measure forces Fx, Fy, Fz, and moments Mx, My, Mz simultaneously. In this paper, the 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor for measuring forces Fx, Fy, Fz, and moments Mx, My, Mz simultaneously was newly modeled using several parallel-plate beams, designed, and fabricated. The characteristic test of made sensor was performed. and the result shows that interference errors of the developed sensor are less than 3%. Also, Robot's gripper with the 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor for the characteristic test of force control was manufactured, and the characteristic test for grasping an unknown object was performed using it. The fabricated gripper could grasp an unknown object stably. Thus, the developed 6-axis robot's finger force/moment sensor may be used for robot's gripper.

GROWTH OF THE SUBSTRATE CRYSTALS FOR $La_{2-x}Sr_xCuO_4$ THICK FILMS

  • Single crystal of Li2Cu1-xMxO4 (M=Ni, Zn) are promising as a substrate to realize superconducting electronic devices. The distribution coefficients of Ni and Zn to the Cu site in La2CuO4 (LCO) were estimated by the zone melting technique to grow high quality single crystals of La2Cu1-xMxO4(M=Ni, Zn). The distribution coefficient value of Ni was estimated to be 4.2 and that of Zn was estimated to be 0.66, respectively. Suitable solvent compositions were determined using these values to grow single crystals by he traveling floating zone (TSFZ) method. Single crystal of LCO, La2Cu1-xMxO4(M=Ni(x=0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04), Zn(x=0.01, 0.02, 0.03) of high homogeneity were grown. The behaviors of the magnetization of these as-grown crystals do not indicate superconductivity except LCO. Ni or Zn substitution can make LCO non superconductor. This fact suggest that single crystals substituted by Ni or Zn are useful as substrate crystals.

  • Constant false alarm rate(CFAR) processors are useful for detecting radar targets in background for which all parameters in the statistical distribution are not known and may be nonstationary. The well known "cell averging" (CA) CFAR processor is known to yield best performance in homogeneous case, but exhibits severe performance in the presence of an interfering target in the reference window or/and in the region of clutter edges. The "order statistics"(OS) CFAR processor is known to have a good performance above two nonhomogeneous cases. The modified OS-CFAR processor, known as "trimmed mean"(TM) CFAR processor performs somewhat better than the OS-CFAR processor by judiciously trimming the ordered samples. This paper proposes and analyzes the performance of a new CFAR processor called the "maximum trimmed mean"(MX-TM) CFAR processor combining the "greatest of"(GO) CFAR and TM-CFAR processors. The MAX operation is included to control false alarms at clutter edges. Our analyses show that the proposed CFAR processor has similar performance TM- and OS-CFAR processors in homogeneous case and in the precence of interfering targets, but can control the false rate in clutter edges. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the qualitative effects of various CFAR processors in nonhomogeneous clutter environments.
