  • The server/client systems using the web protocol and distribution computing environment by network was applied to the MT data processing based on the Java technology. Using this network based system, users can get consistent and stable results because the system has standard analysing methods and has been tested from many users through the internet. Users can check the MT data processing at any time and get results during exploration to reduce the exploration time and money. The pure/enterprised Java technology provides facilities to develop the network based MT data processing system. Web based socket communication and RMI technology are tested respectively to produce the effective and practical client application. Intrinsically, the interpretation of MT data performing the inversion and data process requires heavy computational ability. Therefore we adopt the MPI parallel processing technique to fit the desire of in situ users and expect the effectiveness for the control and upgrade of programing codes.

  • To adopt the development in the medical scenario IoT developed towards the advancement with the processing of a large amount of medical data defined as an Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). The vast range of collected medical data is stored in the cloud in the structured manner to process the collected healthcare data. However, it is difficult to handle the huge volume of the healthcare data so it is necessary to develop an appropriate scheme for the healthcare structured data. In this paper, a machine learning mode for processing the structured heath care data collected from the IoMT is suggested. To process the vast range of healthcare data, this paper proposed an MTGPLSTM model for the processing of the medical data. The proposed model integrates the linear regression model for the processing of healthcare information. With the developed model outlier model is implemented based on the FinTech model for the evaluation and prediction of the COVID-19 healthcare dataset collected from the IoMT. The proposed MTGPLSTM model comprises of the regression model to predict and evaluate the planning scheme for the prevention of the infection spreading. The developed model performance is evaluated based on the consideration of the different classifiers such as LR, SVR, RFR, LSTM and the proposed MTGPLSTM model and the different size of data as 1GB, 2GB and 3GB is mainly concerned. The comparative analysis expressed that the proposed MTGPLSTM model achieves ~4% reduced MAPE and RMSE value for the worldwide data; in case of china minimal MAPE value of 0.97 is achieved which is ~ 6% minimal than the existing classifier leads.

  • The Korean peninsula has been known to be very difficult to acquire clean MT and GDS data due to its highly industrialization and civilization. In this environment, a pre-screening step selecting data segments with a proper S/N ration is an essential one. This study modified the automatic pre-screening step based on the spectral power of electromagnetic field (RMP) taking account of the situation of the Korean Peninsula. The modified RMP technique was applied to MT data measured at seven sites located in middle part of the peninsula. In the whole sense, the RMP technique considerably improved the connectivity of apparent resistivity and phase curves around the period of 10 sec. In addition, the results processed by the RMP technique showed a very little difference with those derived from manual editing, and the superior performance of it is found especially in the connectivity of apparent resistivity curve.

  • In this paper, the telemetry data processing system based on PC is developed. It acquires each channel information from magnetic tape(MT) which stores all the flight data. This system has advantages which reduce the number of hardware components required and simplfy the processing procedure compared to the existing systems.

  • Two-dimensional (2D) MT surveys near the Century mine in Australia have been performed with very far remote reference in Esashi, Japan (RR_ESS) as well as Gregory Downs (RR_GREG), which are roughly 6,400 km and 80 km apart from the survey area, respectively. Good quality of MT data could be obtained by remote reference processing with RR_GREG, while the coherency of magnetic fields between field sites and RR_ESS was not sufficient to be used as remote data. Both 2D and 3D inversion of 2D profile data represented the general geological structure beneath the survey area. The main target of the survey, Termite Range Fault, appeared as a boundary between a conductive block to the north and a resistive block to the south in the reconstructed resistivity section, and is inclined slightly to the north-east direction.

  • The cultural noise sources in magnetotellurics were localized using the source localization method. Conventional beamforming techniques are not applicable for electromagnetic source localization. In this study, the matched field processing and genetic algorithm are used to localize an electromagnetic source and estimate the polarization direction. The source localization using MT field data shows the characteristics of estimated source distribution related to the strength of cultural noise.

  • A short seismic reflection survey was performed to map the basement and the upper units in the Gomso Bay. This research was mainly aimed at clarifying the basement by improving the signal-to-noise ratio in data processing steps. The strategies employed in this research included enhancement of the signal interfered with large-amplitude noise, through pre- and post-stack processing such as time-variant filtering, bad trace edit, careful muting after f-k filter and NMO correction. The subsurface structure mapped from this survey mainly consists of the top of basement and the upper three units, which were well correlated to the result from the previously conducted MT survey. Furthermore seismic section clarifies approximately 30m deep subhorizontal event of the top of the basement, which was not shown in the central portion of the MT section due to data qualify.

  • We perform MT soundings in Bendigo, the northern part of Victoria, Australia, to investigate the deep subsurface geologic structure. The primary purpose of this survey is to figure out whether the discontinuity such as faults extends northward. The time series of MT signal were measured over 11 days at 71 measurement stations together with at remote reference, which help enhance the quality of impedance estimation and its interpretation. The impedances are estimated by robust processing using remote reference technique and then inverted with 2D MT 2D inversion. We can see that known faults are clearly imaged in MT 2D inversion. Comparing resistivity images from MT 2D inversion with interpreted boundary from reflection seismic exploration, two interpretations match well each other.

  • Magnetotelluric data recorded in the middle part of the Korean Peninsula are contaminated by severe noises at dead-band frequencies. In this study, we estimated the location of noise source using a source localization method. Since conventional beamforming techniques were not adequate for the localization of electromagnetic sources, we used the matched field processing and a genetic algorithm. The solutions for the strong noise signals tend to be localized in a narrow area, whereas those for natural MT signals shows randomly distributed patterns. The strong noise sources are mainly located in the western part of Kyonggi-do.

  • A magnetotelluric survey and geological survey have been performed to delineate deeply extended fracture systems at the geothermal field in Seokmo Island, Inchon, Korea. One borehole(BH-1) succeed to meet a large fracture system at the depth of 750 m where approximately $72^{\circ}C$ geothermal water is overflowing, while the other borehole(BH-2), which is about 200 m eastward from BH-1, failed to develop enough geothermal water even at the depth of 1,200m. Though there have been so many electric noise sources around the survey region, good quality of MT data above 1 Hz could be obtained with careful installation, remote reference processing. Inversion of MT data for two lines roughly perpendicular to the two major lineaments respectively show that the two lineaments are related to the fracture systems that are extended at least down to 1.5 km depth and inclined eastwards. From the interpretation, additional drilling for BH-2 is recommended and finally meet the fracture systems at the depth of 1,280 m and resulted in overflow of large amount of geothermal water of temperature $69.4^{\circ}C$ from BH-2.
