Redo AVR: One Case Report (대동맥판막 재이식술 -1예 보고-)

  • We have experienced one case of Redo AVR which was performed 13 months after initial operation. The patient had received AVR [Bjork-Shiley disc valve] and MVR [Ionescu-Shiley tissue valve] because of ASI and MSI at March, 1981. During follow up through the OPD, he complained exertional dyspnea and progressive jaundice with hemolytic anemia was also noticed since 1 month prior to readmission. Cardiac catheterization and angiography revealed periaortic valvular leakage due to partial detachment of previously replaced prosthetic aortic valve. Re-replacement of prosthetic aortic valve with Ionescu-Shiley valve was performed and the patient was discharged at 17th POD without any complications.

Studies on the mechanisms of suppression in Aspergillus nidulans (Aspergillus nidulans의 역제의 유전자의 작용기작에 관한 연구 II)

  • From Aspergillus nidulans, six suppressor mutants, MSI-MS6, were isolated, and their characteristics were analysed. These were the suppressor mutants for acriflavin resistant and nicotinamide auxotrophic mutant phenotypes. MS1, MS2, MS5 and MS6, were linked to the chromosome IV, I, II respectively, and MS2 was linked to one of the rest chromosomes, MS3 and MS6 mutants had both suppressors for acriflavin resistant marker and for nicotinamide auxotrophic marker. In order to know the stability and efficiency of the suppressors, their reversion frequencies, that is, frequencies of losing the suppressibility, were analysed. Only MS3 and MS5 were reversed with high frequency. The four mutants didn't lose their suppressibilities, and this meant that the suppressors of these four were very stable and highly effcient. The suppressor specificities of these mutants were tested for other mutant's phenotype marker. One of the six suppressors, MS1, had the suppressor specificity for acriflavin resistant marker of 163 strain.

  • 본 연구에서 개발한 운항환경 모니터링 시스템은 5개의 가속도계와 자이로, 데이터 취득장치를 포함한 계측 및 통신부, 중앙에서 데이터를 관리하고, 운항지수를 계산하는 전산기로 구성된다. 계측된 가속도와 각속도를 이용하여 운항환경을 나타내는 정량적 지수인 뱃멀미 지수(Motion Sickness Incidence, MSI), 분당 작업방해회수(Motion Induced Interrupt, MII)를 실시간으로 계산한다. 개발된 시스템은 한국해양대학교 실습선인 한나라호의 부산 목포 연안항해시 실선시험을 통하여 유효성을 확인하였다.

  • IC는 수많은 전자부품중에서 가장 기본적인 부품으로서 현재 산업사회에서는 필수 불가결한 존재로 부각되어 있다. IC의 집적도는 SSI로부터 MSI, LSI를 거쳐 현재에는 VLSI의 단계가 실용화 되고 있으며 IC가 새로운 기기의 기능을 주도하고, 전기전자 공업의 발전에 원동력이 되고 있다는 것은 이미 기정 사실로 되고 있다. 최근 IC는 "산업의 핵" 또는 "산업의 공기"라고 불리울 만큼 그 역할 또한 큰 비중을 차지하면서 전 산업분야에서 폭넓게 사용되고 있으며 IC는 그 자체가 고도성장산업분야에 속해 있지만 IC가 산업의 미래상과 같이 중요성을 가졌기 때문에 최근에는 우리나라의 럭키금성, 현대, 삼성 및 대우그룹을 비롯하여 세계규모의 기업간 경쟁이 강화되어 가고 있다. IC시장은 1980년대의 전반기를 통하여 IC기술이 급속한 진보에 의해 다이나믹한 전개를 이룩한 것으로 볼수 있지만, IC시장의 장래를 전망하는 경우 세계적인 시점으로 보는 것은 매우 중요한 것이라 생각된다. 따라서 본 해설에 있어서는 서방자유세계를 중심으로 IC의 수급, 제품종별의 시장및 지역별 시장등에 관하여 1985년까지의 동향을 살펴보고 1980년대 전반기의 IC시장에 관한 흐름을 고찰하여 1980년대 후반기의 시장 및 기술개발의 전망에 관하여 기술하고자 한다.발의 전망에 관하여 기술하고자 한다.

  • The 74LS49 and 74LS47 chips are MSI circuits and are used for decoding the BCD input and driving seven-segment displays. The logic of these chips are often used not only as component chips in the commercial digital systems, but are used as library components in fairly complicated ASIC designs. Thus, the understanding of the logic characteristics of these chips is beneficial for future applications. It was analyzed reversely that the design of these chips includes a special logic minimization technique, which neither documented nor reported. This paper is to analyze the function of the logic and the special minimization technique adapted in the design of 74LS49 and 74LS47 chips.

  • An interspecific fusant strain, MS1, was obtained by protoplast fusion between S. peucetius subsp. caesius and S. platensis. We studied on the microbiological and cultural characteristics of the fusant MS1. In liquid culture, the viscosity of culture broth of S. peucetius increased during incubation However the fusant MS1 formed pellet like S. platensis without viscosity change. On agar medium the colony morphology of MSI resembled S. platensis but the color was similar to S. peucetius. The fermentation products of the fusant MS1 was identical with S. peucetius.

Effect of Sintering Additives on the Oxidation Behavior of Hot Pressed Silicon Nitride (가압소결한 질화규소의 산화거동에 미치는 소결 첨가제의 영향)

  • Oxidation behavior of hot-pressed silicon nitride ceramics with various sintering additives has been investigated. The weight gain of each specimens has shown in the range of 0.11 mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ ~3.4 mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 140$0^{\circ}C$ for 192 h and eleven compositions have shown good oxidation resistance with the weight gain below 0.5 mg/$\textrm{cm}^2$. The oxidation rate has been shown to obey the parabolic rate law and the oxidized surface has consisted of $\alpha$-cristobalite and M2Si2O7 or MSiO3 (M=rare earth or transition metals) phase. The oxidation rate of each specimens has related to the eutectic temperature between additive oxide and SiO2, and ionic radius of additive oxides, respectively. From the above results, it could be concluded that the oxidation behavior of hot pressed silicon nitride is dominated by the high temperature properties of grain boundary glassy phase and the high temperature properties of grain boundary glassy phase are affected by the ionic radius of additive oxides.

An Analysis of Export Competitiveness of Korea and Japan in the USA (한.일의 대미 수출경쟁력에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates empirically the export competitiveness of Korea and Japan in America by calculating 4 indexes such as market share index(MSI), export similarity index(ESI), market comparative adventage index(MCAI) and market share expansion ratio(MSER)-export similarity deepening ratio(ESDR). The empirical finding of this analysis shows that Korea is competitive in the labor-intensive products and Japan in the technology-intensive products. This result also meets the general understandings that Japan is superior to Korea in the export competitiveness such as value added of goods, etc. Therefore, in order to strengthen the export competitiveness of Korea in the US market, it's desirable for our firms and government to improve the quality of product ranges by developing technologies focused on the higher value-added products.

  • The purpose of this study was to analysis Korean market competitiveness of Chinese metal items. Methods of analysis were Market Share Index, Market Comparative Advantage. The data was collected through Korean Materials & Components Technology Network and period of analysis were 2009-2016. Chinese main 6 metal items which recorded high-ranked export sum and exported to Korea in 2009-2016. From this study, following results were found. i) In searching trade balance aspects through MSI, highly ranked Chinese metal items in Korea market were steel rolling, pressing&elongation products, steel tubes, steel casting industry. ii) In searching market advantage aspects through MCA, Chinese metal items have strong competitiveness in Korea market. especially, steel rolling, pressing & elongation products, steel tubes, steel casting industry had strong competitiveness in Korea Market. In conclusion, we found that most of Chines metal items have competitiveness in Korea market. Especially, steel rolling, pressing & elongation products had very strong competitiveness in Korea market.

  • This paper describes a weight in motion(WIM) sensor to measure the weight of a vehicle in motion. The main sensing element of the WIM sensor is the PVDF(Polyvinylidene fluoride) film that shows rapid response to an external excitation. Due to the property of rapid response, it is possible to measure the weight of a vehicle in motion with high speed. In the development of the WIM sensor, the dominant target value was the uniformity of the sensor. To increase the uniformity, We employed shrinkable tube made of rubber to enhance the uniformity, and performed the rolling of the brass tube repeatedly. The uniformity of the sensor was examined experimentally. It was comparable to that of a WIM sensor of the MSI which was the benchmark of this development. This paper also describes the mechanical modeling of the sensor and the suitable charge amplifier for the sensor.
