Design of Handoff between MSCs in the IMT-2000 Network (IMT-2000 망에서의 MSC간 핸드오프 설계)

  • 핸드오프는 이동국이 통화 중에 이동하더라도 새로운 통화 채널을 확보하여 진행중인 호를 새로운 채널로 전환하는 과정이다. 본 논문은 IMT-2000 망에서 MSC 간 핸드오프 과정의 설계를 목적으로 한다. 이와 관련하여 IMT-2000 망 구조를 기술하고, IMT-2000 MSC 간 핸드오프 처리 방안으로 B-ISUP 메시지를 이용한 방안과 IS-41의 MAP을 이용한 방안을 비교 분석하였다. 또한, IS-41 MAP 기반의 MSC 간 핸드오프 호 처리 절차에 대해 기술하고, 핸드오프 기반의 IMT-2000 교환기 소프트웨어 블록 구조 및 기능을 설계하였다. 그리고, IMT-2000MSC간의 핸드오프 경로 구성 방안을 제시하고, IS-634와 IS-41 MAP규정을 만족하는 IMT-2000망에서의 MSC간 핸드오프를 위한 교환기 내부 소프트웨어 블록간의 호 흐름을 설계하였다.

  • MSC (Multi-Spectral Camera) is the payload of KOMPSAT-2, which is being developed for earth imaging in optical and near-infrared region. The design of the MSC is completed and its reliability has been assessed from part level to the MSC system level. The reliability was analyzed in worst case and the analysis results showed that the value complies the required value of 0.9. In this paper, a calculation method of reliability for the MSC system is described, and assessment result is presented and discussed.

  • MSC (Multi Spectral Camera) system is a remote sensing payload to obtain high resolution ground image. In this application, uniformity characteristic is important as well as GSD (Ground Resolved Distance) and SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio). MSC image chain is consisted of OM (Optical Module), CCD, Video processor, NUC and DCSU (Data Compression and Storage Unit). Each block makes and corrects MSC's nonuniformity response. This paper shows the cause of nonuniformity error and the correction scheme of MSC system from the electronic point of view.

  • 2006년 발사 예정인 아리랑 위성 2호의 MSC 영상자료에 대한 사용자 매뉴얼 초안이 완성되었다. 사용자 매뉴얼 초안에는 아리랑 위성 2호에 대한 간략한 소개와 일반 사용자들이 아리랑 위성 2호 MSC 영상자료를 사용함에 있어서 필요한 MSC 영상자료의 저장 형식, 저장 내용, 기하 보정 내용, 영상 품질 등의 정보들을 담고 있다. 아직까지는 사용자 매뉴얼 초안 내에 새로이 수정되어야 하는 부분이나, 추가되어야 하는 부분들이 있으나, 아리랑 위성 2호 MSC 영상자료를 일반 사용자들에게 배포하는 시점에 맞추어 MSC 영상자료와 함께 사용자 매뉴얼 최종본이 일반 사용자들에게 제공될 계획이다.

  • MSC is being developed to be installed on KOMPSAT(Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-II and to provide high resolution multi-spectral. MSC consists of three main subsystems. One is EOS(Electro-Optics Subsystem), another is PMU(Payload Management Unit) and the other is PDTS(Payload Data Transmission Subsystem). There is an SBC(Single Board Computer) in the PMU to control all MSC subsystems. SBC incorporates Intel 80486 as a main processor and VxWorks as a real-time operating system. SBC software consists of four main tasks and several modules to deal with all control information for imaging and all the state of health telemetrv data, and to perform interface with another MSC units. SBC software also has to handle a lot of commands in order for MSC to perform his mission.   • The master sintering curve (MSC) is derived from densification data over a range of heating rates and temperatures. To improve the accuracy, several modifications were proposed: multi-phase MSC for solid state sintering with phase changes, MSC for liquid phase sintering, and MSC with consideration of grain growth. The developed MSC models were applied to several material systems such as molybdenum, stainless steels, and tungsten heavy alloys (WHA), in order to evaluate the effect of compaction pressure, phase change, grain growth, and composition on densification, to classify regions having different sintering mechanism, and to help engineer design, optimize, and monitor sintering cycles.

  • MSC(Multi-Spectral Camera) which is a unique payload for KOMPSAT-2, comprises main three subsystems of PMU(Paylaod Management Unit), EOS(Electro -Optical Subsystem) and PDTS(Payload Data Transmission Subsystem). The PMU, as a main controller of MSC, performs major tasks such as interfacing with S/C(Space Craft), controlling the MSC operation, distributing and controlling of operating power to all MSC including thermal unit, etc. In this paper the H/W configurations as well as the functions of PMU are introduced and possible changes for the future development are suggested.

  • MSC(Multi-Spectral Camera) system is a remote sensing instrument to obtain high resolution ground image. MSC system includes main control unit, called SBC(Single Board Computer). SBC controls all the sub-units of MSC system and communicates with spacecraft bus. The software developed for SBC should be reliable and autonomous to support various kinds of imaging missions. It is being developed using VxWorks real-time operating system to manage all tasks for all units efficiently. In this paper, the characteristics of the embedded software on the MSC system will be presented. It covers the hardware related characteristics like the BSP(Board Support Package), device driver and code patch mechanism.

  • In this paper, we have designed a platform with MSC8101 processor for networked converter monitoring and diagnosis. MSC8101 is a dual processor type SOC(System On a Chip), which is consist of 16bit DSP and 32bit RISK CPM. As it have DSP and CPM, MSC8101 is competent for networking and data processing application. This MSC8101 platform is designed for networked monitoring and diagnosis, so it is important processing ability and networking capability.
