  • In this paper. we propose an interactive broadcasting system based on MPEG-4 to provide Interactive services in digital TV broadcast. The proposed system is designed to support various functionalities such as authoringof MPEG-4. encapsulation of MPEG-4 Into MPEG-2 TS (Transport Stream) protocol, synchronization of MPEG-4 with MPEG-2 program. demultiplexing of MPEG-4 from MPEG-2 TS. decoding/rendering of MPEG-4 and interactivity through IP network on ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) platform. The interactive broadcasting system based on MPEG-4 Is used to provide interactive functionality In full for user. and it has a particular advantage of substitution for the ATSC or DVB platform. as well.

  • In this paper, an implementation example of Java based MPEG-4 system that follows MPEG-4 standard protocols in order to provide multimedia-messaging service is introduced. The multimedia-messaging service is a wireless LAN based wired and wireless service that delivers multimedia contents including video and audio information. Detailed Methods to develop a MPEG-4 system like technology of MPEG-4 system implementation, definition for wired and wireless multimedia service, DMIF implementation, and mp4 file Parsing are described.

  • Digital contents is used already in near place with us. Contents of MPEG-4 standard is used to process multimedia data in field of communication, computer, broadcasting mobile etc. However, absence of copyright management and protection system and interoperability problem of right system between each corporation happened. Because MPEG establish IPMP(Intellectual Property Management and Protection) system standard in agreement with MPEG-4 system standard, proposed cooperation method to manage and protect copyright. Accordingly, in this paper, put in copyright of authorized contents management and protection extension system implementation adding MPEG-4 IPMP system like plug-in into existing MPEG-4 authorizing tool. Therefore, author edits IPMP information to protect contents or object, and process the information in system and authorize MPEG-4 digital contents that have management and protection sign according to IPMP standard. This system designed and implemented to divided into IPMP information save processor, IPMP information creation processor, media IPPM processor, XMT-A to MP4 converter IPMP extension.

  • DMB 단말 시스템에서는 Delivery Layer로 다중화 방식인 MPEG-2 TS 와 MPEG-4 System SL를 이용하도록 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 DMB 단말 시스템에서 사용되는 MPEG 2 $\square$TS는 H/W로 구현하고 MPEG 4 System S/W로 구현하는데 있어서 효율적인 인터페이스를 제안한다.

  • Informations of multimedia centering in the images, are combined acoustic and letter, etc. Although the network advances and the capacity of the storage media extends, these huge informations will not be able to accommodate. From meaning which is like this, International standards for the compression and a multiplexing of image, acoustic and voice H261 where admits standard, JPEG, JBIG, MPEG-l, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and H263, G series etc, are core techniques of multimedia. At initial step of the base technique which creates the base of like this multimedia service time, we developed the real-time MPEG-4 transmission systems to provides real-time MPEG-4 multimedia services. This system means becomes the base technique which hereafter is developed and is applied various system. This system Will be able to apply from a videoconference, a building protection system and a VOD video system to use the Internet. And, They, the image sensing, embedded linux, and MPEG4 software, will become sourceful technique to develop the different system.

  • DMB is a next-generation multimedia broadcasting system that not only enables digital broadcasting services such as transmission of CD-duality audio, traffic information, and real-time stock information, but also allows reception of high-quality digital TV in high-speed driving conditions. In the DMB system, MPEG-2 TS(Transport Stream) multiplex method and MPEG-4 System SL(Sync Layer) have been selected as the delivery layer. In this paper, an efficient interface scheme between an MPEG-2 TS processing hardware and software-implemented MPEG-4 system within a DMB terminal device is proposed.

  • In this paper, I present a MPEG4 decoding system modeling in SystemC, a new C/C++ based system simulation approach, In the modeling, MPEG4 decoding behavior is modeled and verified. And I partitions the MPEG4 decoding system into several hardware components which will be implemented at low level hardware design flow and I model a synchronized hardware block communication through data ports.

  • In this paper, we propose a DRM(Digital Rights Management) system for streaming media which can not only protect streamed MPEG-4 content but be easily integrated with existing MPEG-4 streaming system. To protect MPEG-4 media more effectively and more securely, encryption should be considered on encoding phase and also streaming server should be designed to support DRM. However that means it cannot support existing streaming system. Our approach is to design a DRM system independent to the streaming server. So, we used an encryption method which can be applied to compressed MPEG-4. The processing time of decryption in client system must be minimized to guarantee the QoS of streaming service. To satisfy this requirement, it is essential to analyze the effect of DRM on performance. We made some performance test and present the result. Also, we apply proposed system to ISMA(The Inter net Streaming Media Alliance) streaming system which is open standard for MPEG-4 media streaming.

  • In this paper, we developed a new and robust algorithm for a practical and very efficient MPEG-4 video coding. The MPEG-4 video group has developed the video Verification Model(VM) which evolved through time by means of core experiments. And in the standardization process, MS-FDAM was developed based on the standard document of ISO/IEC 14496-2 and VM as a reference MPEG-4 coding system. But MS -FDAM has drawbacks in practical MPEG-4 coding and it does not have the VOP extraction functionality. In this research, we implemented a preprocessing system for a real-time input and the VOP extraction for a practical content-based MPEG-4 video coding and also implemented the motion detection to achieve the high compression rate of 180:1.

  • For temporal relations of interactive media such as MPEG-4, it is necessary for a temporal model that can update dynamically presentation time and temporal relations among objects by user events occurring during playback. Also, 811hough the temporal attributes are changed by user events, the validity of scene must be maintained. In this paper, we propose a temporal model that supports user interaction and developed an MPES-4 contents authoring system applying this model. We define the temporal relations of MPEG-4 that tan be authored and user interactions that can change the temporal properties. This authoring system defines the constraints on temporal relations and events and can generate the scene without error by checking the constraints. Also it provides the authoring environment to author visual]y temporal relations and events in MPEG-4 scene and generates the MPEG-4 stream by encoding the authored scene.
