농촌유역의 강우-유출분석 (Rainfall-Runoff Analysis of a Rural Watershed)

  • This study was performed to analyse the rainfall and the rainfall-runoff characteristics of a rural watershed. The Sangwha basin($105.9km^{2}$) in the Geum river system was selected for this study. The arithmetic mean method, the Thiessen's weighing method, and the isohyetal method were used to analyse areal rainfall distribution and the Huff's quartile method was used to analyse temporal rainfall distribution. In addition, daily runoff analyses were peformed using the DAWAST and tank model. In the model calibration, the data from June through November, 1999 were used. In the model calibration, the observed runoff depth was 513.7mm and runoff rate was 45.2%, and the DAWAST model simulated runoff depth was 608.6mm and runoff rate was 53.5%, and the tank model runoff depth was 596.5mm and runoff rate was 52.5%, respectively. In the model test, the data from June through November, 2000 were used. In the model test, the observed runoff depth was 1032.3mm and runoff rate was 72.5%, and the DAWAST model simulated runoff depth was 871.6mm and runoff rate was 61.3%, and the tank model runoff depth was 825.4mm and runoff rate was 58%, respectively. The DAWAST and tank model's $R^{2}$ and RMSE were 0.85, 3.61mm, and 0.85, 2.77mm in 1999, and 0.83, 5.73mm, and 0.87, 5.39mm in 2000, respectively. Both models predicted low flow runoff better than flood runoff.

Investigation of the effects of particle size and model scale on the UCS and shear strength of concrete using PFC2D

  • In this paper, the effects of particle size and model scale of concrete has been investigated on the failure mechanism of PFC2D numerical models under uniaxial compressive test. For this purpose, rectangular models with same particle sizes and different model dimensions, i.e., $3mm{\times}6mm$, $6mm{\times}12mm$, $12mm{\times}24mm$, $25mm{\times}50mm$ and $54mm{\times}108mm$, were prepared. Also rectangular models with dimension of $54mm{\times}108mm$ and different particle sizes, i.e., 0.27 mm, 0.47 mm, 0.67 mm, 0.87 mm, 1.07 mm, 1.87 mm and 2.27 mm were simulated using PFC2D and tested under uniaxial compressive test. Concurrent with uniaxial test, direct shear test was performed on the numerical models. Dimension of the models were $75{\times}100mm$. Two narrow bands of particles with dimension of $37.5mm{\times}20mm$ were removed from upper and lower of the model to supply the shear test condition. The particle sizes in the models were 0.47 mm, 0.57 mm, 0.67 mm and 0.77 mm. The result shows that failure pattern was affected by model scale and particle size. The uniaxial compressive strength and shear strength were increased by increasing the model scale and particle size.

이론적 정밀모형안에 기초한 환산모형안의 광학상수 (Optical constant of the reduced eye based on theoretical finite model eye)

  • 종광선구면수차를 목표값으로 최적화하여 가변동공을 가지는 정밀모형안을 설계하였다. 설계된 모형안에서 종광선구면수차를 이론적으로 동공직경 1 mm에서 8 mm까지 도식화하고, 다른 모형안의 값들과 비교하였다. 또한 파장에 따른 종광선색수차를 계산하고, 다른 값들과 대조하였다. 정밀모형안에서 얻은 유효초점거리 15.842 mm를 사용하여 환산모형안의 광학상수를 결정하였다. 환산모형안의 광학상수들은 등가굴절능 63.12 Diopter, 환산면 곡률반경 5.281 mm, 굴절률 1.33333, 안축길이 21.123 mm이다.

임프란트 매식시 해면골질의 차이에 따른 치밀골 상 응력분석 (The FEM Analysis on the Crestal Cortical Bone around the Implant according to the Cancellous Bone Density and Loading Positions)

  • This study was performed to compare the stress distribution pattern in the crestal cortical bone and cancellous bone using 3-dimensional finite element stress analysis when 2 different Young's modulus(high modulus, model 1; low modulus, model 2) of cancellous bone was assumed. For the analysis, a finite element model was designed to have two square-threaded implants fused together and located at first and second molar area. Stress distribution was observed when vertical load of 200N was applied at several points on the occlusal surfaces of the implants, including central fossa, points 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm and 3.5mm buccally away from central fossa. The results were as follows; 1. In both model, the maximum Von-Mises stress in the crestal cortical bone was greater when the load was applied at the central point, points 1.5mm and 2mm buccally away from central fossa than other cases. 2. In the cortical bone around first and second molar, model 2 showed greater Von-Mises stress than model 1. It is concluded that when the occlusal contact is afforded, the distribution of stress varies depending on the density of cancellous bone and the location of loading. More favorable stress distribution is expected when the contact load is applied within the diameter of fixtures.

저항형 고온초전도 한류기용 절연체의 절연 특성 (Breakdown Characteristics of Insulators for a Resistor Type HTS Fault Current Limiter)

  • Breakdown characteristics of insulator-liquid nitrogen ($LN_2$) composite insulation for resistor type High $T_c$/ superconducting fault current limiter (HTSFCL) under ac and impulse voltage in $LN_2$ has been studied using model electrode systems. Electrodes for model electrode systems were made of SUS 304 contacted fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) and Au coated sapphire. The breakdown characteristics of model electrode systems were investigated experimentally for FRP thickness ranging from 1 mm to 5 mm. surface distance ranging from 2.5 mm to 7 mm and electrode gap ranging from 1 to 5 mm. The experimental data suggested that the breakdown voltage of model electrode systems in $LN_2$ is highly dependent on the surface distance, electrode gap as well as on the FRP thickness. Also, we had observed discharge traces and puncture due to high-voltage 60-Hz AC stress.

발계측 자료에 기초한 신골 할출 시스템의 검증에 관한 연구 (A Study on Verification of Shoe Last Grading System Based on Foot Measuring Data)

  • Shoe's size and shape are determined by the last that takes shape of foot because last is the mold of shoe in development and manufacturing process. Then adaptation between foot and shoe is dependent on the last. In mass shoe production, model size is developed in the first place, other sized lasts are made through the grading process based on model size. The most important factor in grading system is grading deviation that must be same amount induced from foot measuring database. At present, most of the last manufacturing companies in korea using 260mm as a standard foot model size. When length grading deviation is 5mm, the ball girth grading deviation is 3.7mm and the ball width grading deviation is 1.2mm. I verified existing grading system by comparing grading results with foot measuring data. Also, I proposed reasonable grading deviation and application method of grading system. From the analysis of foot measuring database, reasonable grading deviations are 1.22mm in ball width and 0.84mm in ankle height in case of length grading deviation is 5mm. I confirmed that the current grading system is very accurate. When we grade last from 230mm to 290mm by current grading system based on model size 260mm, there is grading error over 1mm in the front outside area of foot. This error level of 1mm is no problem in normal walking shoe's last, but it induces adaptation problems in sports and special purposed shoe's last. Therefore using of three standard model size is recommended in grading men's last for reducing grading deviation error under the level of 1mm. It is specifically described as 235mm in 225-245mm, 260mm in 250-270mm, 285mm in 275-295mm. According to the above recommended grading system, it is enough to measure only three foot sizes in case of foot measuring project for men's last development.

Investigation of the model scale and particle size effects on the point load index and tensile strength of concrete using particle flow code

  • In this paper the effects of particle size and model scale of concrete have been investigated on point load index, tensile strength, and the failure processes using a PFC2D numerical modeling study. Circular and semi-circular specimens of concrete were numerically modeled using the same particle size, 0.27 mm, but with different model diameters of 75 mm, 54 mm, 25 mm, and 12.5 mm. In addition, circular and semi-circular models with the diameter of 27 mm and particle sizes of 0.27 mm, 0.47 mm, 0.67 mm, 0.87 mm, 1.07 mm, and 1.27 mm were simulated to determine whether they can match the experimental observations from point load and Brazilian tests. The numerical modeling results show that the failure patterns are influenced by the model scale and particle size, as expected. Both Is(50) and Brazilian tensile strength values increased as the model diameter and particle sizes increased. The ratio of Brazilian tensile strength to Is(50) showed a reduction as the particle size increased but did not change with the increase in the model scale.

Nylon Thread를 이용한 mouse 에서의 Transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model 확립 (Transient Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion Model in Mouse using Nylon Thread)

  • 서론: 최근 노년층에서 뇌졸중 발병률이 증가하고 있다. 현재 뇌졸중 치료제 및 방법이 많이 개발되어 있으나 치료 후에도 후유증 등이 많이 남게 된다. 그래서 아직도 많은 과학자나 임상 의사들이 이를 치료하기 위한 약물 및 방법을 연구하고 있는 실정이다. 많은 연구 중 뇌졸중 치료 연구를 위한 표준화된 실험 동물연구는 드물며, 표준화된 Nylon thread를 이용한 중대뇌동맥 폐쇄모델(MCAO, middle cerebral artery occlusion)의 성공률에 대한 연구는 거의 없다 방법: 본연구는 $0.18{\pm}0.02mm$의 지름을 가진 5-0 Nylon thread를 중대뇌동맥에 삽입하였다. 60분 동안 삽입한 후에 봉합해 놓았던 부위를 다시 절개하여 Nylon thread를 빼내고, 막았던 혈관의 매듭을 풀어주어, 다시 혈액이 공급되게 하였다. 그로부터 23시간 후에 뇌를 내어 1mm 두께로 자른 후 1.5% TTC(2',3',5'-triphenyl-tetrazolium chloride)로 15분간 염색하고, 4% PFA(paraformaldehyde)로 15분 동안 고정하였다. 결과: Nylon thread를 삽입하여, MCA occlusion 50마리, ICA occlusion 14마리, 제대로 된 MCAO model보다 좀 더 깊게 들어간 distal MCAO model 36마리, 너무 깊은 MCA나 ACA까지 들어가서 상보적인 괴사를 나타내는 occlusion model 1마리, 그리고 경색이 일어나지 않은 마우스 50마리를 확인하였다. 결론: 이에 본 연구에서는 Nylon Thread를 생쥐의 무게에 따라 32~36g 인 생쥐는 9mm로 삽입하여주고, 37~40g인 생쥐는 9mm+0.5mm의 깊이로 삽입하여서 1hr의 occlusion과 23hr의 reperfusion을 주어 생쥐를 TTC 염색을 통하여 괴사가 일어난 부분을 확인하였고, 생쥐에서 가역적인 뇌혈관 경색으로 151말중 101마리에서 뇌경색을 유도 할 수 있었다(66.9%).

전지구 모델(CCSM3)을 이용한 지역기후 모델(MM5)의 역학적 상세화 기법 개발 (Development of a Dynamic Downscaling Method using a General Circulation Model (CCSM3) of the Regional Climate Model (MM5))

  • 본 연구에서는 기후변화와 대기환경 사이의 통합적 상호작용 연구를 위하여 전 지구규모 기후모델(CCSM3) 결과를 지역 규모 기후모델(MM5)의 초기 및 경계 조건으로 사용할 수 있도록 역학적 상세화(Downscaling) 기법을 개발하였다. 개발된 상세화 기법에서는 위 경도 좌표계로 이루어진 CCSM3 결과를 Lambert-Conformal Arakawa-B 격자 체계로, CCSM3의 hybrid-vertical coordinate를 MM5의 sigma coordinate로 대체하는 과정과 CCSM3 모델 수행 결과와 모델 수행에 필요한 변수들 간의 일치화 과정이 포함된다. 전 지구 규모 모델 결과들이 지역 규모 모델의 입력값으로 역학적 규모 축소되는 과정을 검증하기 위해 공간 분포 및 통계분석을 수행한 결과, 여름철과 겨울철의 기온 및 강수량 패턴이 동아시아 영역 및 한반도 지역에 대해 기존 관측을 이용한 결과와 매우 유사한 패턴을 보였으며, 통계 분석 결과 모델 예측지수가 기온의 경우 0.9 이상의 좋은 값이 나타났으며, 상관성 역시 0.9 수준의 결과를 보여 인터페이스 구축이 성공적으로 수행되었음을 알 수 있다.

수도권지역 대기질 예측을 위한 기상장 모델의 바람장과 온도장 비교 연구 (Intercomparison of Wind and Air Temperature Fields of Meteorological Model for Forecasting Air Quality in Seoul Metropolitan Area)

  • The MM5, RAMS and WRF, meteorological models have provided the dynamical parameters as inputs to air quality model. A major content of this study is that significant characteristics of three models for high-ozone occurrence analyze for surface wind and air temperature fields and compare with observation data in Seoul metropolitan area. An analysis of air temperature field revealed that location of core in high temperature of MM5 and WRF differed from that of RAMS. MM5 and WRF indicated high temperature in Seoul but RAMS represented it on the outskirts of Seoul. MM5 and WRF were underestimated maximum temperature during daytime but RAMS simulated similar value with observation data. Surface wind field with three models, it was shown many differences at horizontal distribution of wind direction. RAMS indicated weak wind speed in land and strong sea breeze at coastal areas than MM5 and WRF. However wind speed simulated by three model were overestimated during both daytime and nighttime.
