Microbes are one of the most important bioresources in bioindustry and provide high economic values. Although there are currently about 6,000 bacterial species with validly published names, microbiologists generally assume that the number may account for less than 1% of the bacterial species present on Earth. To discover the remaining species, studies of metagenomes, metabolomes, and proteomes related to microbes have recently been carried out in various fields. We have constructed an information system that integrates various data on microbial resources and manages bioinformation to support efficient research of microorganisms. We have designated this system 'Bio-Meta Information System (Bio-MIS).' Bio-MIS consists of an integrated microbial resource database, a microbial resource input system, an integrated microbial resource search engine, a microbial resource online distribution system, a portal service, and management via the Internet. In the future, this system is expected to be connected with various public databases. We plan to implement useful bioinformatics software for analyzing microbial genome resources. Today, eCRM has been attention as an enterprise information system that systematically manages and utilizes the eCRM customer information visiting Internet home page. On this paper, the case study of N company Korea's leading manufacturers of the dairy industry is been application research in the practices of using optimization tools for analysis of customer information and marketing activities by the introduction of eCRM and doing weblogs analysis. In a loosely-coupled distributed database server system, a server failure and/or a communication failure can be masked by a resiliency mechanism. Recognizing that a distributed transaction executes at several servers during its lifetime, we propose a resiliency mechanism which allows continuous transaction processing in distributed database server systems in the presence of a server failure. The resiliency mechanism for transaction processing is achieved by keeping redundant information using a primary/backup approach. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the performance improvement opportunities with the resiliency mechanism and to present the design of the proposed system.

Recently, with the development of display technology, AMOLED(Active Matrix OLED) panel production and demand are increasing. Unlike LCD, AMOLED panel basically does not need backlight, so it can output clear images with low power consumption. Therefore, the AMOLED market is growing globally. Accordingly, the demand for inspection devices required for production is also expanding. The inspection device of the AMOLED panel aging system operates in conjunction with MES(Manufacturing Execution System) and MIS(Management Information System), and it is efficient to construct network environment. The inspection device used for panel aging is a pattern generator capable of outputting multiple signals. Efficient design is required to operate multiple signal generators. To solve this problem, the proposed system proposed a method for remotely controlling the signal generator remotely and a method for driving the AMOLED panel. And the timing and power setting results are presented.

Recently, a combination of Business Process Management (BPM) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is being recommended as the best approach for automating large business systems. And the need to create meaningful information from daily operational data is increased today. In this paper, we propose a methodology for automating business processes based on the BPM-SOA convergence trend and verify the methodology by implementing the project management business process. BPM-SOA convergence provides higher extensibility and productivity due to the loosely coupled system construction and maintenance. The system has good properties for frequent process changes and reuse of duplicate processes. We then analyze extensibility of the system as new business processes are added to the existing system. We finally analyze the data generated by BPM by using SAP business intelligence to support management's decision making and strategy. Business intelligence provides not only useful data for business decisions but also chance to optimize the business processes.

As the importance of information security becomes a major concern, there has been growing effort to educate information security professionals. This study aims to analyze the level of required knowledge and skills for four information security skills groups: strategy and planning; research and development; system management and operation; and accident control. For this study, we selected 55 critical knowledge and skills for information security professionals by literature review and Delphi method, and we conducted a survey of information security knowledge and skills requirements for information security professionals to perform their jobs. As a result, we analyzed the current status of the information security professionals' knowledge and skills level and suggested some guidelines for establishing the demand-based curriculum for training information security professionals.

A crop management system was developed using Visual Basic and ArcGIS VBA. The system is operated on ArcGlS 8.3 with Microsoft Access MOB. Landsat +ETM, KOMPSAT-l EOC, ASTER VNIR and IKONOS panchromatic (pan) and multi-spectral (MIS) images were included in the system to understand what kind of agriculture-related information can be extracted for each images. Agriculture related data inventories using crop cover information such as texture and average pixel value of the crop based on cultivation calendar were designed ,and implemented. Three IKONOS images (May 25,2001, December 25,2001, October 23,2003) were loaded in the system to show crop cover characteristics such as rice, pear, grape, red pepper, garlic, and surface water cover of reservoir with field surveys. GIS layers such as DEM (Digital Elevation Model), stream, road, soil, land use and administration boundary were also supplied and can be overlaid with images to enhance the understanding the general agricultural characteristics and identifying the location easily.

Recently, We will analyzed the effects of supply chain management(SCM) execution factors on the competitive advantage, focusing on display industry, which is the most intense sectors in global competition. It is important for global companies to secure corporate agility to actively respond to rapid changes in the market. This study examines whether business agility influences competitive advantage and plays a mediating role between performance and competitive advantage considering market situation.. As a result, it was analyzed that three variables of strategic factors such as strategic partnership, information sharing, and information technology have statistically significant effects on firm agility and competitive advantage. Also, it is proved that corporate agility is mediating effect on SCM execution factor and competitive advantage. This study suggests that SCM in global manufacturing industry is a Business Management System(MIS) that must be operated in enterprise management.

This study is to propose the characteristics that a desirable quality, especially usability, evaluation method of hospital information systems(HIS) should possess. This study reviews the literature recently published in the academic journals which are in the Science Citation Index or registered by the Korean Research Foundation. Especially, the International Journal of Medical Informatics was the valuable source, providing almost 20 literature. The results reveal the need to develop a domain-specific usability evaluation method that reflects the uniqueness of hospital industry. The results show user-centeredness and context-orientedness are the indispensible characteristics of a HIS quality evaluation method too.
