한국산 엉겅퀴군(국화과) 식물의 수리분류학적 연구 (Numerical Taxonomy of Cirsium japonicum Complex(Asteraceae) in Korea)

  • 이 연구는 다양하게 분류되어온 한국산 엉겅퀴군(Cirsium japonicum complex)을 대상으로 주요 식별형질의 변이 양상에 대한 수리 분류학적 분석을 수행하여 그 분류군들의 한계를 규명하고자 하였다. 엉겅퀴군의 주요 식별 형질인 잎, 화서, 화관, 총포와 총포편 등 24개의 외부 형태학적 형질과 잎의 경우, 잎의 길이와 폭, 엽두와 엽저의 각, 잎의 털 밀도, 잎의 두께, 가시의 길이 등에 관한 11개의 주요 식별형질들을 측정하여 주성분 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 엉겅퀴(C. japonicum var. japonicum)개체군과 가시엉겅퀴(C. japonicum var. spinosissimum) 개체군들로 구성된 2개 집단으로 구분되었으며 주요 식별 형질들의 변이 양상을 고려할 때 좁은잎엉겅퀴(C. japonicum f. nakaianum)의 변이 폭은 엉겅퀴(C. japonicum var. japonicum)의 변이 폭에 포함되었다. 그러므로 한국산 엉겅퀴군은 엉겅퀴(C. japonicum var. japonicum), 가시엉겅퀴(C. japonicum var. spinosissimum) 그리고 가시엉겅퀴의 변이 폭에 포함되지만 꽃이 흰색인 흰가시엉겅퀴(C. japonicum var. spinosissimum f. alba) 등 2변종 1품종으로 정리되었다.

교외 산업단지지역 강우유출수내 비점오염물질의 유출특성 및 원단위 산정 (Washoff Characteristics of Non-point Source pollutants and Estimation of Unit Loads in Suburban Industrial Complex Areas Runoff)

  • The characteristics of stormwater runoff and estimation of unit loads were examined in suburban industrial complex areas. During rainfall event, the peak concentrations occurred within the first 100 minutes after rainfall and then the highest concentration of NPS pollutants sharply decreased, showing strong first flush effect in suburban industrial complex. The cumulative load curves for NPS pollutants showed above the straight line, indicating that first flush effect occurred in suburban industrial complex. While the mean TSS, BOD, COD, TN and TP EMCs values were shown the highest values as 120.6 mg/L, 20.8 mg/L, 44.0 mg/L, 5.58 mg/L and 1.46 mg/L respectively. Unit loads estimated from the EMCs were TSS $43.86kg/km^2/day$, COD $52.45kg/km^2/day$, BOD $24.79kg/km^2/day$, T-N $6.65kg/km^2/day$, T-P $1.75kg/km^2/day$, and Pb $0.10kg/km^2/day$. Results of unit loads were compared with the unit pollutant loads from land-use in Korea and USA. The unit load of TSS was lower than that of USA. Estimated BOD and T-N and T-P unit loads were lower than that of Korea.

All-trans Retinoic Acid-Associated Low Molecular Weight Water-Soluble Chitosan N anoparticles Based on Ion Complex

  • The purpose of this study is to develop novel nanoparticles based on polyion complex formation between low molecular weight water-soluble chitosan (LMWSC) and all-trans retinoic acid (atRA). LMWSC nanoparticles encapsulating atRA based on polyion complex were prepared by mixing of atRA into LMWSC aqueous solution using ultrasonication. In FTIR spectra, the carbonyl group of atRA at 1690 $cm^{-1}$ disappeared or decreased when ion complexes were formed between LMWSC and atRA. In ${1}^H$ NMR spectra, specific peaks of atRA disappeared when atRA-encapsulated LMWSC (RAC) nanoparticles were reconstituted into $D_{2}O$ while specific peaks both of atRA and LMWSC appeared in $D_{2}O$/DMSO (1/3, v/v) mixture. XRD patterns also showed that the crystal peaks of atRA were disappeared by encapsulation into LMWSC nanoparticles. LMWSC nanoparticles encapsulating atRA have spherical shapes with particle size below 200 nm. The mechanism of encapsulation of atRA into LMWSC nanoparticles was thought to be an ion complex formation between LMWSC and atRA. LMWSC nanoparticles showed high atRA loading efficiency over 90$\%$ (w/w). AtRA was continuously released from nanoparticles over 10 days. In in vitro cell cytotoxicity test, free atRA showed higher cytotoxic effect against CT 26 colon carcinoma cell line on 1 day. However, RAC nanoparticles showed similar cytotoxicity against CT 26 cells on 2 day. These results suggest the potential for the introduction of LMWSC nanoparticles into various biomedical fields such as drug delivery.

Synthesis and Characterization of Iridium-Containing Green Phosphorescent Polymers for PLEDs

  • Two series of new green phosphorescent polymers bearing a bis(2-phenyl-pyridine)iridium(III)(dibenzoylmethane) [$(ppy)_2Irdbm$] complex were designed and synthesized. Poly-carbazole (PCbz) derivative or polyfluorene with pendant carbazole groups (PFCbz) were employed as host polymers for the iridium complex. The iridium complex monomer was copolymerized with the host monomers using varying monomer ratios via a Yamamoto coupling reaction. Efficient energy transfer from host to dopant unit was observed by increasing the ratio of the iridium guest in the copolymers. Electroluminescent devices with the configuration ITO/PEDOT:PSS/polymer/BmPyPB/LiF/Al were fabricated and characterized. The phosphorescent polymers composed of the iridium complex guest and polyfluorene with carbazole pendants as a host performed better than the polymers composed of the same guest and the main chain polycarbazole host. A maximum external quantum efficiency of 0.73%, a luminous efficiency of 1.21 cd/A, and a maximum luminance of 372 $cd/m^2$ were obtained from a device fabricated using one of the synthesized copolymers.

의약 정보검색을 위한 ATC코드기반 매핑 스키마 설계 (Mapping Schema Design for Medicine Information Retrieval Based on ATC Code)

  • 의약품 정보검색 서비스를 사용할 때 대표적인 검색방법은 ATC(Anatomic Therapeutic Chemical Classification) 코드를 사용하는 것이다. 기존의 ATC코드 기반 의약정보 검색은 주요 성분이 한가지인 단일제 검색에는 매우 유용하다. 하지만 복합제의 경우에는 검색 오류가 종종 발생하고 있다. 이 문제의 원인은 ATC코드 기반 검색은 단일제 ATC 코드를 패턴매칭하여 진행 된다는 것이다. 본 연구는 ATC코드기반 검색 시 주성분을 기준으로 복합제를 검색하는 요구사항 시나리오를 분석하여 ATC코드기반 매핑 스키마를 설계하였다. ATC코드기반 매핑 스키마는 복합제의 ATC코드와 복합제에 포함된 모든 단일제의 ATC코드를 저장한 스키마를 의미한다. 이 스키마를 사용한 ATC코드기반 검색은 단일제의 주성분으로 복합제를 검색하므로 기존 방법보다 높은 정확도를 가진다. ATC코드기반 매핑 스키마는 의사의 환자 처방 효율을 높일 수 있고 의약품 안전 사용 서비스의 정확도를 올릴 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

소화장(昭和莊)의 주거 변용(變容)에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Transformation of Housing in Sohawjang)

  • Built in 1944, in Busan, Sohawjang has currently remained in severe state of transformation. Sohawjang is a rare case of modern housing complex in Korea and it is a significant historic building as housing history and technique history. This study is to leave the basic data about modern housing by finding the substance of Sohawjang, a unusual case of modern housing complex in Korea, and examples of housing transformation through this study. This study attempts to find the original shape and architectural history about Sohawjang, modern apartment building, and analyze the actual conditions of transformation. For implementing, this study carried out the surveys and interviews with experimental research. As the result of the study, after the independence, various cases of transformation were investigated from floor plan of Japanese middle corridor. This study classified according to types of housing by analyzing outcomes and examined the reason and characteristic of transformation. This study discovered the Sohawjang's housing transformation cases, modern housing complex, that has not been disclosed so far and draw the characteristic of transformation as the Architectural Planning.

한국어 집합 시간 표현의 의미 유형과 표상 (Semantic Types and Representation of Korean Set Time Expressions)

  • This study introduces set-denoting time expressions in Korean, which can be divided into simple and complex types. It was found that while the simple type expressions are easily represented within ISO-TimeML, a time-expression markup language, some complex type set-denoting expressions are not. Therefore, this study analyzes the reason for these difficulties in representing complex type expressions, as well as suggests the introduction of @measure and @interpretation attributes in the TIMEX3 tag. The @measure attribute represents the time interval, and the @interpretation attribute is used to distinguish distributive readings from cumulative readings. Additionally this paper suggests that a mapping between these and other attributes are required in TLINK.

Evidence of complex formation between FADD and c-FLIP death effector domains for the death inducing signaling complex

  • Adaptor protein FADD forms the death inducing signaling complex (DISC) by recruiting the initiating caspases-8 and -10 through homotypic death effector domain (DED) interactions. Cellular FLICE-inhibitory protein (c-FLIP) is an inhibitor of death ligand-induced apoptosis downstream of death receptors, and FADD competes with procaspase-8/10 for recruitment for DISC. However, the mechanism of action of FADD and c-FLIP proteins remain poorly understood at the molecular level. In this study, we provide evidence indicating that the death effector domain (DED) of FADD interacts directly with the death effector domain of human c-FLIP. In addition, we use homology modeling to develop a molecular docking model of FADD and c-FLIP proteins. We also find that four structure-based mutants (E80A, L84A, K169A and Y171A) of c-FLIP DEDs disturb the interaction with FADD DED, and that these mutations lower the stability of the c-FLIP DED.

Improved Electron Injection on Organic Light-emitting Diodes with an Organic Electron Injection Layer

  • To overcome of poor electron injection in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with Al cathode, a thin layer of inorganic insulating materials, like as LiF, is inserted between an Al cathode and an organic electron transport layer. Though the device, mentioned above, improves both turn on voltage and luminescent properties, it has some problems like as thickness restriction, less than 2 nm, and difficulty of deposition control. On the other hand, Li organic complex, Liq, is less thickness restrictive and easy to deposit and it also enhances the performance of devices. This paper reports the improved electron injection on OLEDs with another I A group metal complex, Potassium quinolate (Kq), as an electron injection material. OLEDs with organic complexes showed improved turn-on voltage and luminous efficiency which are remarkably improved compared to OLEDs with Al cathode. Especially, OLEDs with Kq have longer life time than OLEDs with Liq.

기상자료에 따른 대기오염확산 민감도평가 -대구성서산업단지에 대한 사례연구- (Sensitivity of Air Pollutants Dispersion According to the Selection of Meteorological Data - Case of Seongseo Industrial Complex of Daegu -)

  • The importance of atmospheric conditions for the assessment of an air pollution situation has been demonstrated by their influence on the various compartments of an air pollution system, comprising all stages from emission to effects. Especially, air pollutants dispersion phenomenon are very sensitive according to wind data. But the discussions of how to apply representative meteorological data in air pollution dispersion model are not frequent in Korean environmental assessment processes. In this study, we investigated the difference of air pollutants dispersion phenomenon using U.S EPA ISCLT3 model according to applying the different meteorological data observed at two points for Seongseo industrial complex of Daegu. Two points are the spot site of Seongseo industrial complex and Daegu meteorological observatory. The winds speed of the spot site were smaller than those of Daegu meteorological observatory. In the winter season, the differences came to about $64\%$ for the period$(I\;February\;2001\~31\;January\;2002)$. Wind directions were also fairly different at two points. The air pollutants dispersion phenomenon estimated from our numerical experiments were also fairly different owing to the meteorological conditions at two points.
