Characteristics of Wind Pressure Distributions Acting on Solar Collector Plate (태양열 집열판에 작용하는 풍압계수 분포 특성)

  • This paper attempted to bridge this gap by identifying the number of flat-plate solar collectors. The characteristics of wind pressure coefficients acting on flat-plate solar collectors which are most widely used were investigated for various wind direction. Findings from this study found that the location where the maximum wind pressure coefficient occurred in the solar collector was the edge of the collector. Regarding the characteristics according to the number of collectors, the paper found that downward wind pressure coefficient of the lower edge of the collector was higher than the upward wind pressure coefficient of the upper edge of the collector in the basic module (1 piece). However, as the number of collectors increases, the upward wind pressure coefficient of the upper edge become higher than the downward wind pressure coefficient of the lower edge. Finally yet important, it was found that the location of the maximum wind pressure coefficient was changed according to the number of solar collectors.

Correlation Analysis between Plantar Pressure and Body Alignment According to the Dominant Hand of Elementary School Baseball Players (초등학교 야구선수들의 우세손에 따른 족저압과 신체 정렬간의 상관관계 분석)

  • PURPOSE: This study analyzed the correlation between the plantar pressure and body alignment according to the dominant hand of elementary school baseball players. METHODS: The subjects consisted of 32 elementary school baseball players. The 32 players were classified in the right-hand dominant group (Rt. Group, n = 22) and left-hand dominant group (Lt. group, n = 10). The plantar pressure was measured using a pedoscan to determine the maximum pressure and pressure distribution. The body alignment was measured using a fometric 4D to measure the trunk imbalance angle (TI), pelvic tilt angle (PTi), pelvic torsion angle (PTo), pelvis rotation angle (PR), kyphotic angle (Ky), lordotic angle (Lo), and trunk torsion angle (TT). RESULTS: Participants showed correlations in the Rt. group, according to the left maximum pressure, Lo (r = .592, p < .05), and TT (r = .514, p < .05); according to the right maximum pressure, PR (r = .539, p < .05), and Lo (r = .503, p < .05). In the left pressure distribution, the PR (r = -.521, p < .05) showed a negative correlation. In the Lt. group, the PT (r = -.591, p < .05) showed a negative correlation in the left pressure distribution. CONCLUSION: These results can be used as basic data for a body analysis study of elementary school baseball players in the future.

  • This study makes to flow analysis of computational fluid dynamics(CFD) according to the basic theory of turbulent flow regarding high-pressure injection nozzle. It also makes structural analysis to find out the structural validity of the optimum shape of high-pressure injection nozzle. It divides to two areas such as plunger areas and high-pressure injection nozzle area including plunger.

  • This study is object to structural analysis of high pressure injection nozzle. The finite element model was developed to compute the stress, strain for high pressure injection nozzle. For structural analysis using result from FEM code. This structural analysis results, many variables such as internal pressure, boundary condition, constraint condition and load condition are considered.

  • In this study, in order to investigate the influence of cam profile on the injection rate, the characteristics of injection in PLN (pump - line - nozzle) diesel injection system were simulated. Six types of the profile of fuel cam were used for simulation. The maximum injection pressure and maximum injection rate of initial and end phase were analyzed to demonstrate the characteristics of injection. The mathematical model of the injection system and the computation results were verified by experimental results. Simulation results showed that the maximum injection pressure, maximum injection rate, injection quantity and pressure drop in the end phase were proportional to the velocity of fuel cam during the effective stroke.

  • This paper proposed a hydraulic pump system which uses a variable SR drive and constant capacity pump. The base and maximum speed, torque are determined from displacement capacity of the pump and maximum pressure. The drive system is set to have a minimum power consumption having hydraulic preset pressure, which is operated within a maximum capacity and maximum preset pressure. This is achieved by controlling motor speed and power with feedback signal of pressure of the hydraulic pump. A 2.2kw, 12/8-pole SR motor and DSP based digital controller are designed and prototype drive system is manufactured. The proposed variable speed SR drive system is simulated and tested with experimental set-up. The test results show that the system has some good features such as high efficiency and high response characteristics.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of posture difference on respiratory function in cerebral palsy patients. Methods : Twenty-two cerebral palsy childrens were recruited this study. Respiratory Function test was measured with Cardio Touch 3000 and Micro Respiratory Pressure Meter. Cardio Touch 3000 was used to assess cerebral palsy childrens' forced vital capacity and forced expiratory volume at one second. Micro Respiratory Pressure Meter was to assess Maximum inspiratory pressure and Maximum expiratory pressure. Subjects had four respiratory functions measured in supine, slouched sitting, and elected sitting postures. Statistical analysis was used Paired t-test for within-group comparisons and Independent t-test for between-group comparisons. SPSS statistics Ver 20.0 was used for statistical anlysis and statistical significance was defined as a p-value less than 0.05. Result : The subjects' respiratory function according to posture showed significant difference in Forced Vital Capacity(FVC), Maximum Expiratory Pressure(MEP) and Maximum inspiratory pressure(MIP)(p<.05). Elected sitting posture had a positive effect on respiratory function than slouched sitting, supine. Conclusion : In conclusion, We could see that change of posture in children with cerebral palsy affects respiratory function and Elected sitting can be a positive help for the respiratory function of children with cerebral palsy.

Study on a Multi-pipe Water Hammer Phenomenon by using CFD of Rapid Valve Closing (전산유체해석(CFD)을 이용한 밸브의 급폐쇄에 따른 다중 배관 수격 현상에 관한 연구)

  • This study was to investigate characteristics for the pressure wave propagation and the maximum pressure near a rapid closure valve which was installed the end of multi piping network. The multi piping network consists of one inlet and three outlet with straight pipes. The diameter of the pipes including the valve was 100 mm, 80 mm, 80 mm respectively. The valve was rapidly closed with the instantaneous time which was 0.023s in the level for the water hammer. For the simulation, the influence of the pipe thickness and deformation due to pressure-wave-propagation was not considered. CFD was conducted under the following condition : the initial pressure was 1bar in the inlet and the mass flow rate was 7.83 kg/s in the outlet(the velocity in the pipe with 100 mm diameter was 1 m/s). As the valve have conditions that were status with and without fluid flow in the pipe after valve closing, the maximum pressure change and the frequency analysis were examined. As the results, the case that was status with fluid flow appeared the higher maximum pressure than another's, the maximum frequency band was about 10 ~ 11 Hz.

  • In this paper, we propose a blood pressure measurement method using ANFIS. Usually, the maximum and minimum blood pressures are calculated by Maximum Amplitude Algorithm(MAA) method. However, the MAA method has some drawbacks to measure exact blood pressure since it uses a fixed ratio to set the measuring points for everyone without considering individual's special conditions. To solve this problem, the pressures measured by the MMA are trained by ANFIS having self-learning ability. From various experiments, we confirm that the proposed method shows better performance than conventional method.

  • In this study, the evaluate characteristics of fire and explosion of MEK-PO are subjected to spontaneous ignition, flash point and explosion hazard. The minimum ignition temperature and instantaneous ignition temperature for MEK-PO were $188.5^{\circ}C\;and\;230^{\circ}C\;at\;225{\mu}L$. In addition The flash point for MEK-PO was obtained at $49^{\circ}C$. Furthermore, the maximum explosion pressure and the maximum explosion pressure rising velocity: using MCPVT (mini cup pressure vessel tester) were $10.82kgf/cm^2\;and\;33.72kgf/cm^2{\cdot}s$.
