Study on a Dynamic master system for Controller Area Network

  • CAN(Controller Area Network) is a simple and efficient network system for real time control and measurement. As it is not only good at error detection but also strong in electromagnetic interference, CAN has been widely used all over the industries. Basically, CAN needs a master node in charge of sensor data collection, node scheduling for data transmission to a monitoring system and error detection. According to the number of mater nodes, the CAN system is classified into two type of master system. One is a single master system that has only one master node and the other is a multi-master system where any sensor node can become a master node depending on the system's conditions. While it has the advantage of its fault tolerance, the multi-master system will suffer form the overall performance degradation when a defect is found in the master node. It is because all sensor nodes pertaining to a defective master node lose their position. Moreover, it is difficult and expensive to implement. For a single master system, the whole system will be broken down when a problem happens to a single master. In this paper, a dynamic master system is presented that there are several sub-master nodes of which basic functions are those of other sensor nodes at ordinary times but dynamically changed to replace the failing master node. An effective scheduling algorithm is also proposed to choose an appropriate node among sub-master nodes, where each sub-master node has its precedence value. The performance of the dynamic master system is experimented and analyzed.

성인여성의 쇼핑성향과 샵마스터의 태도에 대한 반응 연구 (A Study on Adult Women′s Clothing Shopping Orientation and Response to the Shop-master s Attitude)

  • The study is designed to classify consumer groups based on their clothing shopping orientation and to examine the relationship among clothing shopping orientation, satisfaction to the shop-master, and factors of the shop-master's nature to understand clothing shopping orientation of women from 18 to 35. The final analysis was performed with 447 (consumers) ailed 336 (shop-masters) pieces of questionnaire. The data was analysed with SAS statistics package. The results of this study are as follows : 1. Clothing shopping orientation were composed of four dimensions : recreational shopping orientation, convenience/economic shopping orientation, store/brand loyalty shopping orientation, and shopping confidence. 2. In the satisfaction to the shop-master, the consumer was not satisfied by the appearance, product-presentation, and consumer-management of the shop-master but kindness, trust, and product-explanation by the shop-master. The shop-master guessed that consumers were completely satisfied. 3. The consumer had an influence on product-understanding, response, and consumer-understanding of the shop-master, and the shop-master guessed that consumers had an influence on every thing of shop-master. 4. The more consumers were store/brand loyal, the more they were satisfied with tole shop-master, and had an influence on the factors of the shop-master's nature. But consumers were confident on the shopping, were not shown to be significantly different in the satisfaction of the shop-master and the factors of the shop-master's nature.

  • In this paper, a new control scheme for master-slave control of telerobot is proposed. The porposed method can be classified into unilater master-slave control methods in the aspect of the data flow. But the master arm in the proposed control scheme can deliver operator the similar kinesthetic sense as other bilateral force reflecting master arms do. The principle concept is that the sensed operator's force/torque is used as the reference input for a damping controller type of telerobot controller which track the operators efforts. Master arm and master controller can be implemented in a simple form, and it needs not be driven by actuators, but force sensing capability.

  • EtherCAT is an Ethernet-based fieldbus system standardized in IEC 61158 and SEMI, and widely used in the fields of factory automation, semiconductor equipment and robotics. In this paper, an EtherCAT master is implemented on an embedded board with Arm based 64-bit quad-core processor and its jitter performance is evaluated at the output of the network interface to include all the effects of the entire system in the results. For the EtherCAT master system, an open source EtherCAT master stack, Simple Open EtherCAT Master (SOEM), is installed on PREEMPT_RT patched Linux operating system for real-time operation. The results show that the jitter performance is comparable to that of Xenomai-based master and the EtherCAT master with two master instances has similar jitter performance to the EtherCAT master with one master instance.

  • 스캐터넷(Scatternet)에서 피코넷(Piconet)간의 연결을 통하여 블루투스 애드 혹 네트워크를 형성한다. 이러한 스캐터넷을 형성하기 위한 많은 알고리즘이 제안되었다. 하지만 이들은 스캐터넷 재구성 시간이 많이 걸리는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 마스터가 피코넷을 벗어났을 경우 스캐터넷 재구성시 지연시간을 줄이기 위한 Fast-Recovery 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘에서는 마스터에 의해 생성된 피코넷 장치 테이블에서 마스터와 비슷한 가중치를 가지는 슬레이브를 Sub-Master로 선택한다. 마스터가 피코넷을 벗어났을 때 Sub-Master 가이전의 마스터 대신에 새로운 피코넷의 마스터가 되고, 페이지 상태에서 피코넷 장치 테이블을 통하여 모든 슬레이브와 브릿지에 직접 연결하도록 한다.

  • In this work, 4-DOF ER haptic master is proposed and integrated with a slave robot for minimally invasive surgery(MIS). Using a controllable ER fluid, the haptic master can generate a repulsive force/torque with the 4-DOF motion. For realization of master-slave robot system, the motion command of the haptic master is realized by slave surgery robot. In order to follow the 4-DOF motion of the haptic master, novel mechanism of slave surgery robot with gimbal joint is devised. Accordingly, the haptic master-slave robot system is established by incorporating the slave robot with the haptic master device in which the desired repulsive force/torque and position are transferred to each other via wireless communications. In order to obtain the desired force/torque and position trajectories, tracking controllers for haptic master and slave robot are designed and implemented, respectively. It has been demonstrated that the desired effective torque tracking control performance is well achieved using the proposed haptic master-slave robot system.

SMART연구로 사용후 연료 저장조의 임계해석에 HELIOS-MASTER계산체계의 적용 (Application of the HELIOS-MASTER Code System on the Criticality Analysis for the SMART-P Spent Fuel Storage)

  • 노심설계 해석체계로 사용하는 HELIOS-MASTER코드를 이용하여 SAMRT연구로 사용 후 핵연료 저장조에 대한 임계도 해석체계를 개발하였다. 저장조의 기하학적 모형에 대한 거시 단면적을 HELIOS코드를 이용하여 생산하고, 저장조의 3차원 모델에 대한 임계도를 MASTER코드로 평가하였다. 또한 3차원 MCNP계산을 통하여 HELIOS-MASTER체계를 이용한 임계도 평가의 타당성을 검증하였다 HELIOS-MASTER코드 체계를 이용한 임계도 해석결과가 약간 보수적인 방향으로 허용오차 범위 내에서 정확도를 유지하였다. HELIOS-MASTER 코드 체계는 3차원 연소계산이 가능하기 때문에 차후에 연소이력을 고려한 사용후 연료 저장조에 대한 임계해석에 유용할 것이다.

공동주택에서 마스터룸(Master room) 평면 유형별 수요자 의식 조사 연구 (A Study on Demanders' Consciousness by Master Room Planning Types in Apartment House)

  • The residential environment is a place which reflects the gradual evolution of human consciousness because it is a cultural space the term, 'houses' is not relevant in this context as it literally means 'contains'. The long history of human living habits cannot be 'contained' within a space, but can be 'expressed' by a space and by the way the space is used. Furthermore, due to the way it is typically constructed, the basic characteristics of the house usually cannot be rapidly changed to accommodate new habits. However, recent changes that have taken place to the characteristics of the traditional master room suggest that traditional societal values associated with patriarchy have diminished. The current trend where priority is given to children's education also affects such a change. Existing researches related to the master room is confined to the behavioral use of the space and the composition of the physical space, while research on the master room its plane type has not been carried out. Therefore, in this study, apartment model houses are selected, and are classified according to the types of master room. An analysis is then carried out of the master room based on the occupants' requirements in terms of consciousness. Any planning modifications where required are then suggested. This research comprises the followings stages. First, an examination is carried out of existing research on the master room in order to understand its background and spatial components. A definitiones of related terms is also provided. Second, an analysis is carried out of the model houses exhibited at Suwan District, examining the typical standard that has been selected for the master room. Third, an analysis is conducted of the topics and questions to be selected for a questionnaire. Fourth, an analysis is carried out of the consciousness, satisfaction and requirements of the residents, as respondents in the questionnaire, related to the master room. and Research is then conducted of the architectural methods for planning the master room. Finally, future countermeasures for planning the master room are described based on the above analysis and research findings.

WBAN 환경에 따른 유동적 상태 전환 Mac Protocol (An Energy Efficient Mac Protocol for WBAN through Flexible Frame Structure)

  • WBAN 환경에서 Master와 Node들의 에너지 효율을 관리하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 동시에 Master는 Node로부터 데이터를 수집하고 제어하는 중요한 역할을 함으로써 효과적인 에너지 소비를 유지하여 어떠한 상황에서도 대처할 수 있어야한다. 따라서 Master와 Node 사이의 적절한 저전력 MAC 프로토콜이 필요하다. 우리는 간단히 WBAN 슈퍼프레임 구조를 변경해줌으로써 더 향상된 MAC 프로토콜을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 제안된 구조가 IEEE 802.15.6과 기존 연구와 비교해서 Master와 각 노드들의 에너지의 효율이득을 나타낸다.
