항공우주용 리오셀계 탄소/페놀릭 복합재료의 내열 성능 평가 (Evaluation of Heat Resistance of Lyocell-based Carbon/Phenolic for Aerospace)

  • 리오셀계 탄소/페놀릭 복합재료의 항공우주용 내열 부품 적용 가능성을 확인하기 위하여 내열성능 평가 및 열 해석을 수행하였다. 탄소/페놀릭의 열반응 평가는 내열성능평가모터(Thermal Protection Evaluation Motor, TPEM)로 수행되었다. 본 논문에서는 열 해석을 위해 유체의 경계층 해석을 고려한 경계층 적분 코드와 삭마 및 열분해를 고려한 MSC-Marc 2018 코드를 사용하였다. 추진기관의 압력 곡선, 연소 시험 후 절개된 목삽입재 시편을 통하여 삭마 및 단열성능을 분석하였고, 리오셀계 탄소/페놀릭 복합재료의 열반응은 레이온계 탄소/페놀릭 재료와 유사하였다. 연소시험을 통한 결과를 바탕으로 국산 리오셀계 탄소/페놀릭의 항공우주용 내열 부품으로의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide(NMMO) is recently hewn as a solvent dissolving cellulose to produce a new regenerated cellulosic fiber, lyocell. In this study, four kinds of cellulosic fibers (lyocell, regular cotton, treated cotton with 50% and 75% NMMO aqueous solution) was examined and compared in terms of mechanical properties and dyeability. The swelling of cotton treated with NMMO aqueous solution is higher than that of cotton treated with water. In dyeing rate, the cotton treated with NMMO was faster than regular cotton. NMMO treatment decreased the crystallinity of cotton fabrics and improved their softness and smoothness.

  • Lyocell yarns were treated with NaOH, liquid ammonia, high pressure steam and polycarboxylic acids, and dyed with five reactive dyes. The water content of the samples was also measured by the centrifugal and chromatographic techniques. The total pore volume w as substantially increased by NaOH treatment, while decreased by high pressure steaming. The pore size distributions for the dyed samples were affected by the dyes used.

정련 방법에 의한 리오셀 섬유의 역학적 변화와 3D CAD SYSTEM에 의한 외관분석 -NaOH와 효소처리 중심으로- (The Effects of Scouring on Mechanical Properties and Appearance of Iyocell -NaOH Scouring vs. Enzymatic Scouring -)

  • This study was to investigate the effect of different scouring methods on mechanical properties and appearance of lyocell. Two different scouring methods were adopted for the study; one was the traditional scouring with alkali and the other was enzymatic scouring. Enzymatic scouring was carried with four different enzymes; C1 : Cellusoft L, C2 : Cellusoft UL, D1 : Denimax 992L, D2 : Denimax Acid XCL. The mechanical properties of scoured lyocell were measured using KES-FB. The appearance of scoured samples was analyzed by 3D CAD SYSTEM of i-Designer. While the untreated fabric showed the best linearity because it is stiff, alkali treated samples showed the worst dimensional stability and distorted easily. Enzyme treated samples, especially C1 treated samples showed the best dimensional stability. In addition, enzyme treated samples showed low bending rigidity compared to the alkali treated samples. It means that the enzyme treated samples are more flexible than alkali treated samples. However, the smoothness of the sample's surface treated by either of methods did not show much difference. From the study, it was suggested that the enzymatic scouring for lyocell could help to gain natural silhouette.

탄소섬유용 리오셀 전구체의 결정구조에 관한 연구 (Study of the Crystal Structure of a Lyocell Precursor for Carbon Fibers)

  • 본 연구에서는 리오셀 섬유를 사용하여 탄소직물을 제조함에 있어, 인계 난연제인 Phosphoric Acid(PA)와 가교제인 Melamine resin (MR)을 사용하여 섬유의 전처리를 수행하고 TGA, FT-IR, XRD, 중량 분석을 통하여 물리적, 화학적 구조 변화에 대하여 고찰하였다. 전처리를 통하여 내염화 및 흑연화된 직물의 경우 미처리 직물과 비교하여 중량 수율이 14.7%, 직물 폭과 길이의 수율이 각각 15%, 15.5% 증가함을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 셀룰로오스의 탈수반응을 촉진과 함께 섬유 표면에 char를 형성하고, 셀룰로오스 분자 내의 가교반응을 유도하여 내염화 시 안정한 구조 형성에 의한 효과로 설명할 수 있다.

  • The goal of this research is to investigate the effect of fusible interlinings on the mechanical characteristics and appearance related values for the Lyocell fabrics. In this study, to establish optimum fusing conditions, peel strength of the fused fabrics depending on the fusing temperature, pressure and time was measured. Appearance related properties and mechanical characteristics of the fused fabrics ere determined. The reulst are as follows: In the fusing condition of $120^{\circ}C,\;3kgf/textrm{cm}^2$, 15sec, peel strength was excellent. Peel strength was excellent in the case of tencel/cotton fabric, with increasing cover factor of woven interlining, with twill and nonwoven interlining. Flex stiffness was increased in the case of tencel/cotton fabric, with increasing weight of woven interlining, with twill and nonwoven interlining. Drapability was excellent in the case of 100% tencel fabric, with decreasing weight of woven interlining, with plain and woven interlining. Crease recovery was excellent in the case of 100% tencel fabric, with increasing weight of woven interlining, with twill and woven interlining. Shear and bend properties were increased in the case of tencel/cotton fabric, with increasing weight of woven interlining, with plain and nonwoven interlining.

다중벽 탄소나노튜브/리오셀 복합섬유의 제조 및 특성조사 (Preparation and Characterization of Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes/Lyocell Composite Fibers)

  • In this work, the multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWNTs) were functionalized with sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate(SDBS) and then MWNTs/Lyocell composite fibers were prepared. The properties of MWNTs, the functionlization on the surface of MWNTs and their dispersion in the cellulose matrix were characterized by TEM, SEM, WAXD and FT-IR. The results showed that SDBS has been coated successfully onto the surface of the MWNTs by functionlization. This can improve effectively the dispersion uniformity of MWNTs in NMMO aqueous solution and is helpful to prepare a spinnable spinning dope. Moreover, the resultant MWNTs/Lyocell composite fibers still have cellulose II crystal structure, and their tensile strength and initial modulus increased with the increasing draw ratio and reached the optimal value with adding 1 wt% MWNTs. The thermal stability of the composite fiber was also improved by the addition of the MWNTs.
