The state observer is being used widely because it has the advantage of the guarantee of reliability on financial problem, over heating, and physical shock. However, an Luenberger observer and a Sliding observer have such problems that an experimenter needs to know dynamics and parameters of the system. And also, the high gain observer has such a problem that it has transient state at the beginning of the observation. In this paper, the Neuro observer is proposed to improve these problems. The proposed Neuro observer complement a problem that occur from increase of gain of High-gain observer in proportion to the square number of observable state variables. And also, the proposed Neuro observer can tune the gain obtained by differentiating observational error at transient state automatically by using the backpropagation training method to stabilize the observational speed. To prove a performance of the proposed observer, it is simulated that the comparison between the state estimate performance of the proposed observer and that of Sliding, High gain observer is made by using a sinusoidal input to the observer which consists of four layers in stable 2nd order system.
Indirect vector control for induction motors requires the use of observers for estimation or observation of rotor flux magnitude and position. In this paper, authors discribe the induction motor vector control and introduce a nonlinear observer, named ELO(extended Luenberger Observer), without simulation results as a preliminary work for trial application. Normally, design of nonlinear observer need coordinate transfromation and linearization through solving the partial different equation. However, ELO requires minimal solution of nonlinear partial differential equation. Simulation was performed by under the enviroment of Matlab and Simulink without the proposed observer because we are still working. Simulation was performed with conventional flux observer, a dc-ac inverter by SVPWM technique, a vector controller armed with multiple PI controllers
Perspective dynamical systems arise in machine vision, in which only perspective observation is available, and the essential problem is to estimate the state and /or unknown parameters for a moving rigid body based on the observed information. This paper proposes and studies a Luenberger-type observer for perspective tim e-varying linear systems. In particular, assuming a given perspective time-varying linear system to be Lyapunov stable and to satisfy some sort of observability condition, it is shown that the estimation error converges exponentially to zero. Finally, a simple numerical exam pie is presented to illustrate the result obtained.

In this paper, the gain of the observer is properly set up using the fuzzy control and Fuzzy-Sliding observer(FSQ) that have a superior transient characteristic and is easy to implement compared to the existing method is designed. It estimate the differentiation of the armature current directly using the armature current measured in the AC motor. It estimate the speed of the rotor using the differentiation. It is proposed speed sensorless control method using the estimated speed. Optimal gain of speed observer(Luenberger observer) was set up using the fuzzy control and adapted speed control of AC servo motor. To verify the performance of designed Fuzzy-Sliding observer, simulation compared with fixed speed observer gain of G.B Wang and S.S Peng's sliding observer is performed. Also, it was proved the excellence and feasibility of the proposed observer from the comparison test with a speed sensor and without a speed sensor which used a highly efficient drive and 400W AC servo motor starting system.

In this paper, we propose a design method for speed controller, current control of a Brushless Direct Current(: BLDC) motor using disturbance rejection techniques. Disturbance assumes a back electromotive force occurring in the electrical system and the variation of the load acting on the rotary shaft from the outside of the motor. And it assumed to be constant during the time interval and the Luenberger's observer design. So that the error of the observer about the system status can converge to zero show how to set the appropriate gain. Further, to stabilize the whole system, and proposes a method for setting the appropriate PI gain control to improve the tracking performance. By applying the proposed controller to 120W BLDC motors were tested for the ability to follow the velocity and current reference. Since the simulation results of the steady state error is within 0.1%, we were able to show the usefulness of the tracking performance of the proposed controller.

Active disturbance rejection control is a method in which the disturbance is removed from the controller by estimating the state variable using the Luenberger observer. The Luenberger observer is estimated by defining a nonlinear term including disturbance with constant characteristics in a steady state as a state variable. It can be shown that the speed tracking performance is improved by compensating the estimated state variable to the PI controller and the IP controller. The disturbance removal performance of the tracking control can be confirmed by observing that the estimated state error is within 1.9 [%] in the case of load fluctuation and the steady-state state tracking error converges to zero.

This paper presents the design methodology of an unknown input observer for Lipschitz nonlinear systems with unknown inputs in the framework of convex optimization. We use an unknown input observer (UIO) to consider both nonlinearity and disturbance. By deriving a sufficient condition for exponential stability in the linear matrix inequality (LMI) form, existence of a stabilizing observer gain matrix of UIO will be assured by checking whether the quadratic stability margin of the error dynamics is greater than the Lipschitz constant or not. If quadratic stability margin is less than a Lipschitz constant, the coordinate transformation may be used to reduce the Lipschitz constant in the new coordinates. Furthermore, to reduce the maximum singular value of the observer gain matrix elements, an object function to minimize it will be optimally designed by modifying its magnitude so that amplification of sensor measurement noise is minimized via multi-objective optimization algorithm. The performance of UIO is compared to a nonlinear observer (Luenberger-like) with an application to a flexible joint robot system considering a change of load and disturbance. Finally, it is validated via simulations that the estimated angular position and velocity provide true values even in the presence of unknown inputs.
In this thesis, it is a purpose to carry out speed control of DC servo motor without using encoder and the resolver which are speed sensor of DC servo motor and it should use estimate algorithm or observer and must assume a speed in order to control speed sensorless. Therefore, high gain observer was designed to estimate rotor speed of DC servo motor and it carries out speed control from the feedback of the speed that assumed done in the thesis. Also, implementation used easy PI controller in speed-controller of DC motor though it was simple. It is compared estimate performance of Luenberger and high gain observer in a way of computer simulation in order to verify performance of the high gain observer which proposed in this thesis, and proved excellency of the high gain observer. And the thesis proved that smooth speed sensorless control of DC servo motor was implemented in invariable driving.

This paper presents a decentralized compensator design procedure for large scale systems. By using a coordinate transformation method, interconnection terms in t도 subsystem are decoupled and a decentralized observer is designed independently as a form of Luenberger-type for each subsystem. And the decentralized compensator which can select the observer and controller gain independently is designed as a form of observer based controller for each subsystem. The proposed method has a simplicity and conciseness in the aspects of the determination of coordinate transformation matrices and the derivation of the separation principle which is adopted independently for each subsystem.
Perspective dynamical systems arise in machine vision problems, in which only perspective observation is available. This paper considers the state estimation problem for a rigid body moving in three dimensional spaces using the image data obtained by a CCD camera or some other means. Because the motion of the rigid body and the observed data are generally corrupted by noises, it is necessary to seek a state estimation method to reduce the influence of the noises. In this paper, by means of computer simulations for a simple example, we examine the sensitivity to the noises of the nonlinear observer developed in the recent paper ([1] R. Abdursul, H. Inaba and B. Ghosh, Nonlinear observers for perspective time-invariant linear systems, Automatica, vol. 40, Issue 3, pp. 481-490, 2004) and the effectiveness of the Extended Kalman Filter.
