  • Huge information has been made due to the current computing environment and could not be acceptable. People want the information which they can understand and accept easily. They may want not only simple information but also knowledge. That is why data mining becomes a center of information. We use RFM analysis in order to create customer score. Customers are classified into five groups(most oxcellenrexcellenycommoflowerilowest) for a various marketing activities. We can found the significant patterns in each group, and classify customers from loyal customers to leaving customers in the near future by the indirect data mining(e.g. association analysis) and the direct data mining(e.g. decision tree, logistic regression analysis, etc.), which are named in this study. Our research focuses on the advanced models by applying the association rules in data mining. Our results indicate that the indirect data mining and the direct data mining seem to have same outputs, but the former shows more clear pattern then the latter one.

  • Companies have recently become interested in the importance of long-term relationships with customers because business-based marketing ideas of the past have evolved into long-term relationship-based marketing. Establishing a relationship with customers to a company is not a simple method to form a market of consumers and provider; it is now understood as an important factor directly connected to the survival of a company. This study is to help Korean fashion brands in China build an efficient strategy for sales promotion and loyal customers through the analysis of the effect of familiarity with Korean fashion brands on satisfaction and brand loyalty in a rapidly growing Chinese fashion market. An online questionnaire covering Korean fashion brands in China was completed by 377 Chinese male and female customers aged 20 to 39 years old from March 20 to March 27, 2014. Data analysis was performed by factor analysis and path analysis using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS. Both direct experiences and indirect experiences influenced brand familiarity. It showed that brand familiarity had a significant direct effect and an indirect effect through satisfaction on brand loyalty. A competitive advantage in the present Chinese fashion market requires that loyalty builds and that brand loyalty increases by creating a long-term relationship with customers when familiarity about the brand is induced.

  • The competition for telecommunication-broadcasting bundle is under full steam. Even large mobile OS companies like Apple and Google are showing signs of moving into the telecom and broadcasting industry, and it is expected that competition for bundle will become even fiercer. In the light of this situation, this study will show which factors can heighten purchasing intention for bundle and lower expected-discounting rates, seeking its answer in the quality, satisfaction, and brand loyalty to core product. The results of the study show that the brand loyalty to core product affects the customer's purchasing intention positively while lowering expected-discounting rates. This conclusion suggests the importance of a marketing strategy that heightens satisfaction of existing customers who use a single item, which is just as important as strategies to induce switching behavior of the customers of other companies through competitive pricing. Also, the results suggest that rather than appeal to loyal customers through discounts, it is more effective to offer them different benefits or value.

Method: 361 patients and their guardians who were hospitalized in women's hospital, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, participated in this study. The data was analyzed using SPSS Statistics 21.0. Results: The perception on the quality of nosocomial infection control had a negative(-) effect on perceived risk, a positive(+) effect on trust, a positive(+) effect on the intention to revisit. The perceived risk had a negative(-) effect on trust, a negative(-) effect on the intention to revisit. The trust had a positive(+) effect on the intention to revisit. The perceived risk was partially mediated by the perception on the quality of nosocomial infection control and the intention to revisit, while the trust was fully mediated by the perception on the quality of nosocomial infection control and the intention to revisit. Thus, it indicated that the perceived risk and trust had dual mediated effects as well as full mediated effects in the relationship between the perception on the quality of nosocomial infection control and the intention to revisit. Conclusions: The nosocomial infection control can be an important factor to contribute to hospital management by attract the loyal medical customers, not just cost-expenditure. The nosocomial infection control can help hospital revenue and customer management strategy. Thus, it will contribute to the effective marketing strategy in the medical field.

  • [Purpose] It aims to suggest the differential factors to enhance the customer satisfaction and to activate the shopping in the convenience store (CVS). [Methodology] Convenience store service convenience (CVS SERVCON) was developed at the first time and the gap of relative importance level between the owners and the consumers was assessed by AHP analysis method..[Findings] First, the importance of access convenience was assessed as the first priority in both CVS owners' group and the consumers' group, while the detailed elements showed the differences which required the improvements. Based on the consumers' assessment, the importance of location was relatively low. They assessed relatively high on 24 hours operation of CVS and personal services. Second with respect to the transaction convenience, CVS owners' group rated it as the fourth priority while the consumers' group rated as the second, which requires the improvement. Third in terms of benefit utility and value-added service of post-benefit convenience which are the sub-factors of benefit convenience, the rate on the importance from the consumers showed higher than that from the owners, which requires the improvement. [Implications] Based on this study results, CVS operating companies are anticipated to be able to satisfy the customers, moreover, to secure the loyal customers if they concentrate the resources to develop the differentiation strategy on the areas where the consumers' demands are high while performs the maintenance strategy on the areas where their demands are low. In addition, this study contributed the theoretical expansion of SERVCON upon development of CVS SERVCON to comply with its definition.

  • Service failure and a poor service recovery may lead loyal customers to try to aggressively punish the service firm. We use perceived betrayal and desire for vengeance as the key constructs to understand customer retaliation. Perceived betrayal is defined as a customer's belief that a firm has intentionally violated what is normative in the context of their relationship. And the desire for vengeance is defined as the retaliatory feelings that consumers feel toward a firm, such as the desire to exert harm on the firm. The perceived betrayal and the desire for vengeance are key antecedents of retaliatory behaviors such as vindictive complaining, negative WOM and third-party complaining for publicity. The empirical results suggest that betrayal is a key motivational factor that lead customers to restore fairness by making use of all means, including retaliation. We also find that relationship quality has effect on a customer's response to a failure in service recovery. As the levels of relationship increases, a violation of the proper fairness has a stronger effect on the sense of betrayal experienced by customers. Considerable research has investigated consumer responses to dissatisfaction. But our study examine the response of outraged and highly frustrated consumers. We focus on emotional and behavioral processes that have not been covered by previous dissatisfaction researches and which are unique to outraged consumers caused by extremely dissatisfied purchase experience. It has recently been pointed out by various mass media that the customers not only have positive effects on the company performance but also put the company in crisis. It has often been reported that one customer's dissatisfaction, for example, never ends as it is, and it tends to grow for retaliating upon the company, depending on the level of seriousness of the dissatisfaction. This sometimes leads to a lawsuit against the company. Our study focuses on the customers' emotional and behavioral responses induced by their extreme dissatisfactions. We divided the customer groups into the customers with high relationship quality and the customers with low relationship quality, and the difference between two groups is examined. The objective of this study is to comprehend the causal relationship between the feeling of betrayal caused by the service failure and the retaliatory behavior triggered by the desire of revenge. Our study is divided into three parts. First, a causal relationship between perceived unfairness and the perceived betrayal and desire for revenge. Second, the effect of the perceived betrayal and desire for revenge on the retaliatory behavior is investigated. Finally, the moderating role of relationship quality in the causal relationship between the unfairness in service recovery and the perceived betrayal is analyzed. This study finds the following empirical results. The distributive unfairness, procedural unfairness and interactional unfairness had significant effects on the perceived betrayal. Especially, the perceived distributive unfairness results in the highest perceived betrayal. When the service company does not provide customers proper and sufficient compensation for the failure, they feel the strong sense of betrayal. And in the causal relationship between the perceived betrayal, desire for revenge and retaliatory behavior, the perceived betrayal has significant effects on e desire for revenge. In addition desire for revenge has significant effects on negative word of mouth, retaliatory complaining behavior and publicity of complaints through third group. Therefore the perceived unfairness has effects on retaliatory behavior through the mediation of the perceived betrayal and desire for revenge. Finally the moderating role of relationship quality was examined in the relationship between the unfairness and perceived betrayal. If the customers experienced the perceived unfairness in the process of service recovery, the customers with high relationship quality feel the stronger perceived betrayal than the customers with low relationship quality do. When they experience the double service failure, the customer group with high relationship quality accumulating the sense of trust feel the more perceived betrayal than the customer with low relationship quality who do not have strong trust. The contribution of this study is to find the effect of the service failure on the retaliatory behavior with the moderating roles of relationship quality. The dimensions of unfairness in service recovery is found to have differential effects on the perceived betrayal, desire for revenge. And these differential effect is moderated by the level of relationship quality.
