New compounds were made using various NR/BR blend ratio and oil content to improve mechanical properties of rubber isolator at low temperature. Mechanical properties were investigated as a function of NR/BR blend ratio and oil content. Hardness and tensile modulus generally increased, but tensile strength and elongation at break decreased with increasing BR content. Hardness, tensile modulus and tensile strength decreased, but elongation at break were nearly the same with increasing oil content. The glass transition temperature of NR and BR were found to be $-50^{\circ}C$ and $-90^{\circ}C$ respectively based on the abrupt drops in storage elastic modulus and peak of loss factor. Two distinct transition temperature were observed in NR/BR blend compounds and each transition point was not affected by blend level indicating incompatible nature of NR/BR blend.
The magnetization properties have been measured for amorphous $Fe_{82}Mn_{8-x}B_xZr_{10}$ (x = 0-8) alloys. The temperature dependence of magnetization for these alloys shows the existence of antiferromagnetic couplings between Fe atoms in low fields at low temperatures. The magnetic parameters, obtained from the magnetization behavior are consistent with the presence of mixed magnetic state. The Curie temperature and magnetic moment increased with an increase of the concentration of B and spin glass like transition observed at low temperature decreases and finally vanishes at x = 8 at %. Our result suggests that the substitution of B for Mn seems to cause an increase of magnetic order.
We investigated the change of mechanical properties of UP using mixture of SM with VAc or MA that have low glass transition temperature when polymerized instead of SM only for diluents of UP. In case of using mixture of SM/MA, it was elucidated that the toughness of UP was more improved than using SM only. But in case of SM/VAc, it was observed that the content of mixture could not affect on toughness. It was concluded that these results are caused by the effect of each diluents mixtures on stress-relaxation due to phase separation and on decrease glass transition temperature of UP is quite different from each other.
Reduced graphene oxide (RGO) was fabricated using gelatin as a reductant, and it could be stably dispersed in gelatin solution without aggregation. A series of RGO/gelatin composite films with various RGO contents were prepared by a solution-casting method. The structure and thermal properties of the RGO/gelatin composite films were characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The addition of RGO enhances the degree of crosslinking of gelatin films and decreases the swelling ability of the gelatin films in water, indicating that RGO/gelatin composite films have a better wet stability than gelatin films. The glass transition temperature ($T_g$) of gelatin films is also increased with the incorporation of RGO. The presence of RGO slightly increases the degradation temperature of gelatin films due to the very low content of RGO in the composite films. Since gelatin is a natural and nontoxic biomacromolecule, the RGO/gelatin composite films are expected to have potential applications in the biomedical field.

It was researched to be alternative of TGIC type hardener with human hazard element as PT 910 mix powder paint with hardener. Generally PT 910 was compared with TGIC & Epoxy resin of hardener to be used at thermosetting powder paint. We inquired a property of matter for paint through Gel time, glass transition temperature, melting point and a property of matter for film through a property of adhesion, a property of tolerance, softness, gloss, acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, salt water spray-resistant, facilitation climatic. When PT 910 is used of hardener, it was shown the excellent results in gel time, softness, salt water spray-resistant, fracilitation climatic and the similar results in melting point, a property of tolerance, a property of adhesion, gloss, acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, as compared with the powder paint used by TGIC hardener. The glass transition temperature was little low. But there was slightly different results. After the study results, we reached the conclusion that thermosetting powder used by PT 910 is alterative to by TGIC hardener.

Since its discovery in 2004, graphene, a sp2-hybridized 2-Dimension carbon material, has drawn enormous attention. A variety of approaches have been attempted, such as epitaxial growth from silicon carbide, chemical reduction of graphene oxide and CVD. Among these approaches, the CVD process takes great attention due to its guarantee of high quality and large scale with high yield on various transition metals. After synthesis of graphene on metal substrate, the subsequent transfer process is needed to transfer graphene onto various target substrates, such as bubbling transfer, renewable epoxy transfer and wet etching transfer. However, those transfer processes are hard to control and inevitably induce defects to graphene film. Especially for wet etching transfer, the metal substrate is totally etched away, which is horrendous resources wasting, time consuming, and unsuitable for industry production. Thus, our group develops one-step process to directly grow graphene on glass substrate in plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD). Copper foil is used as catalyst to enhance the growth of graphene, as well as a temperature shield to provide relatively low temperature to glass substrate. The effect of growth time is reported that longer growth time will provide lower sheet resistance and higher VSG flakes. The VSG with conductivity of $800{\Omega}/sq$ and thickness of 270 nm grown on glass substrate can be obtained under 12 min growing time. The morphology is clearly showed by SEM image and Raman spectra that VSG film is composed of base layer of amorphous carbon and vertically arranged graphene flakes.

Vinyl-polynorbornene has good thermal stability, high transparency and low dielectric constant. However, it has low solubility, poor mechanical and adhesive properties. In this work, polynorbornene derivatives were prepared by Pd(II) late transition metal catalyst. The polymers have good solubility, and are thermally stable up to$300^{\circ}C$ The glass transition temperature is decreased as the side-chain becomes bulkier. Structure-property relationship of polynorbornene derivatives measured by X-ray scattering, mechanical and electrical properties will be discussed.

In Mn-Ge equilibrium phase diagram, many Mn-Ge intermetallic phases can be formed with difference structures and magnetic properties. The MnGe has the cubic structure and antiferromagnetic(AFM) with Neel temperature of 197 K. The calculation predicted that the $MnGe_2$ with $Al_2Cu$-type is hard to separate between the paramagnetic(PM) states and the AFM states because this compound displays PM and AFM configuration swith similar energy. Mn-doped Ge showed the FM with Currie temperature of 285 K for bulk samples and 116 K for thin films. In addition, the $Mn_5Ge_3$ compound has hexagonal structure and FM with Curie temperature around 296K. The $Mn_{11}Ge_8$ compound has the orthorhombic structure and Tc is low at 274 K and spin flopping transition is near to 140 K. While the bulk $Mn_3Ge_2$ exhibited tetragonal structure ($a=5.745{\AA}$;$c=13.89{\AA}$) with the FM near to 300K and AFM below 150K. However, amorphous $Mn_3Ge_2$ ($a-Mn_3Ge_2$) was reported to show spin glass behavior with spin-glass transition temperature (Tg) of 53 K. In addition, the transition of crystalline $Mn_3Ge_2$ shifts under high pressure. At the atmospheric pressure, $Mn_3Ge_2$ undergoes the magnetic phase transition from AFM to FM at 158 K. The pressure dependence of the phase transition in $Mn_3Ge_2$ has been determined up to 1 GPa. The transition was found to occur at 1 GPa and 155 K with dT/dP=-0.3K/0.1 GPa. Here report that Ferromagnetic $Mn_3Ge_2$ thin films were successfully grown on GaAs(001) and GaSb(001) substrates using molecular beam epitaxy. Our result revealed that the substrate facilitates to modify magnetic and electrical properties due to tensile/compressive strain effect. The spin-flopping transition around 145 K remained for samples grown on GaSb(001) while it completely disappeared for samples grown on GaAs(001). The antiferromagnetism below 145K changed to ferromagnetism and remained upto 327K. The saturation magnetization was found to be 1.32 and $0.23\;{\mu}B/Mn$ at 5 K for samples grown on GaAs(001) and GaSb(001), respectively.
We studied the cross-sectional profiles of deformed thermoplastics in hot embossing process and compared with melt flow index for various embossing conditions such as embossing temperature, embossing pressure and initial thickness of the thermoplastics. The fastest embossing times for complete penetration of the cavities were obtained at temperature greater than $60^{\circ}C$ above glass transition temperature (Tg). When the melt flow index of polymer is low, the penetration ratio does not become large even if the embossing pressure increases. The complete occupation of the cavities was easier obtained with high melt flow index polymer than low melt flow index polymer at the same process condition. We believe these results can be very useful for optimizing nanostructured hot embossing also known nanoimprinting process conditions.
