  • 본 연구는 저온재생기에서 용액 재생 열원으로 저온열을 보조열원으로 이용가능한 2열원 2중효용 흡수 사이클특성을 규명하기 위한 방법으로 병렬 용액 순환형 2중 효용 흡수 사이클 해석을 수행한다. 본 해석은 저온 재생기에서 필요한 재생열의 일부를 태양열 또는 배열 등과 같은 저온 보조 가열원을 이용하여 열의 유용성 검증을 위한 기초 수단으로 가열원 입구 온도, 용액 순환량을 변화시켜 2중효용 parallel flow cycle 의 특성을 규명한다.

물유동층 열교환기의 열회수성능 연구 (A Study on the Heat Recovery Performance of Water Fludized-Bed Heat Exchanger)

  • This paper presents the heat recovery performance of water fluidized-bed heat exchanger. Temperature and humidity ratio of waste gas are considered as important parameters in this study. Therefore, the heat recovery rate through water fluidized-bed heat exchanger for exhaust gases with various temperatures and humidity ratios can be estimated from the results of this study. Mass flow ratio (the ratio of mass flow rate of water to that of gas) and temperature of inlet water are also considered as important operating variables. Increase of heat recovery rate can be obtained through either high mass flow ratio or low temperature of inlet water with resultant low recovered temperature. The heat recovery performance with the mass flow ratio of about up to 10 has been investigated. The effect of number of stages of water fluidized-bed on the heat recovery performance has been also examined in this study.

  • A dual loop waste heat recovery system with Rankine steam cycles for the improvement of fuel efficiency of gasoline vehicles has been investigated. A high temperature loop (HT loop) only recovers the heat of the exhaust gas. A low temperature loop (LT loop) recovers the residual heat from the HT loop, the coolant heat and the remaining exhaust gas heat. The two separate loops are coupled with a heat exchanger. This paper has dealt with a layout of the dual loop system, the review of the working fluids, and the design of the cycle. The design point and the target heat recovery of the HT boiler, a core part of a HT loop, have been presented. The prototype of the HT boiler was evaluated by experiment. For the performance evaluation of the HT boiler, inlet temperature of the HT boiler working fluid was set equal to the temperature degree of sub-cool of $5^{\circ}C$ at the condensing pressure. The exit condition was the degree of super-heat set at $5^{\circ}C$. The characteristics of the HT boiler such as heat recovery and pressure drops of fluids were evaluated with varying flow rates and inlet temperatures of exhaust gas under various evaporating pressure conditions.

폐열회수 증대를 위한 열운송 축열 시스템 특성 연구 (Study on Heat Storage and Transportation System for Recovering Non-using Low-temperature Heat)

  • Non-used waste heat has recently been paid special attention due to several global warming regulation and energy cost rising. In this study, therefore, thermal energy storage system which uses a solid type heat media has been investigated about the possibility of heat accumulation and heat release for thermal energy storage system. 35kWh of bench-scale thermal storage system was used to investigate the characteristics of the solid type heat media. From the result, it is shown that a solid type heat media should be divided to supply constant heat to the customers' side. It is also shown the flow direction should be considered to reduce temperature difference between top and bottom sides in the thermal storage system.

자동차 배기폐열 회수용 열전발전 시스템의 성능에 관한 연구 (Experimental Study on Thermoelectric Generator Performance for Waste Heat Recovery in Vehicles)

  • Internal combustion engines release 30~40% of the energy from fossil fuels into the atmosphere in the form of exhaust gases. By utilizing this waste heat, plenty of energy can be conserved in the auto industry. Thermoelectric generation is one way of transforming the energy from engine's exhaust gases into electricity in a vehicle. The thermoelectric generators located on the exhaust pipe have been developed for vehicle applications. Different experiments with thermoelectric generators have been conducted under various test conditions as following examples: hot gas temperature, hot gas mass flow rate, coolant temperature, and coolant mass flow rate. The experimental results have shown that the generated electrical power increases significantly with the temperature difference between the hot and the cold side of the thermoelectric generator and the gas flow rate of the hot-side heat exchanger. In addition, the gas temperature of the hot-side heat exchanger decreases with the length of the thermoelectric generator, especially at a low gas flow rate.

  • 폐열을 열원으로 사용하는 저온형 개질기는 하이브리드 연료전지 시스템의 효율향상을 위해 사용되고 있다. 저온형 개질기의 경우 저온의 열적상태에서 높은 열전달 효율을 내는 것이 중요하며, 이를 위한 형상 최적화의 과정이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 제한된 열공급 상황에서 개질기의 형상인자 변화에 따른 온도 및 반응특성을 전산해석을 통하여 알아보고자 하였다. 해석결과 저온형 개질기의 반응이 활발히 일어나는 영역은 온도가 높은 후단에 제한되는 현상을 보여 고온형 개질기와의 차이를 나타내었다. 또한 개질기의 기체공간속도(Gas hourly space velocity, GHSV)를 감소시키거나 열전달 면적을 증대시킴으로써 효율을 향상 시킬 수 있음을 확인하였고 종횡비에 따른 해석을 실시한 결과 저온형 개질기의 경우 길이방향보다는 반경방향의 열전달을 증대시키는 방법이 효과적임을 확인하였다.

실내 공기질 개선을 위한 ICT 융복합형 플라즈마 폐열 환기 시스템 (ICT Fusion Type Plasma Waste Heat Ventilation System for Improvement of Indoor Air Quality)

  • 현재 구제역의 발생과 AI로 인한 손해를 모두 본 부담하고 있다. 또한 축산업에서 악취에 대한 민원은 끊임없이 제기되고 있으며 앞으로 더 발생할 것으로 판단되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 축사 및 계사, 돈사 등과 같은 밀폐형 시설물들의 실내 공기질을 개선하고 질병 등을 예방하여 농가의 소득을 증대 시키는 것에 목적을 두었다. 환기 유닛 자리에 설치할 저온 플라즈마 폐열 환기 장치를 개발하고 내부에 넣을 열 교환 소자 및 저온 플라즈마 램프, 밸러스트를 규격화 하여 강화된 공기청정 기능을 갖도록 하였다. 또한, ICT를 접목하여 기존의 기상 시스템, 유동팬, 기타 시설 장비들과의 연동이 가능하고 농가들로 하여금 실시간으로 모니터링이 되도록 새로운 통제 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.

  • Conventional high temperature reformers are not suitable for hybrid fuel cell systems that use waste heat as a heat source. So, development of a low temperature type reformer is needed. However, the analysis was conducted in two ways to increase the thermal efficiency, because of low reforming rate due to the low heat source. First, it is a way to ger thermal gain from the outside through partial insulation. In the case of one heat source tube and several heat source tubes, we analyzed the effect of partial heat insulation in some cases. Second, we found the most efficient arrangement of the heat source tubes by changing the location of the heat source tubes. The interpretation was carred out using the COMSOL Mutiphysics program.

120℃ 스팀 생성을 위한 100 kW급 히트펌프의 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Heating Performance Characteristic of 100 kW Heat Pump to Generate ℃ Steam)

  • Recently, the development of a heat pump technology to recover process waste heat and to generate steam of $120^{\circ}C$ or higher required for industrial processes, has attracted attention. The research of conventional heat pump utilizing the available energy is used primarily for air conditioning, and the production temperature is about $60^{\circ}C$, so it is difficult to utilize it for industrial use. Therefore, in this study, we developed a steam heat pump (SGHP) which recovers the waste heat of process and generates steam at $120^{\circ}C$. The low-pressure refrigerant R245fa, considered to be an eco-friendly refrigerant, has been selected as the refrigerant for SGHP in this study since its Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) is zero and the Global Warming Potential (GWP) is relatively low. A flash tank functioning as a phase separator was installed in the rear stage of the condenser, and the saturated water of high temperature was decompressed to generate steam. It was started at the initial temperature of $70^{\circ}C$, and it was confirmed that $120^{\circ}C$ steam was produced after the system stabilized. We have conducted experiments by modifying the system, and ultimately achieved a heating capacity of 101.4 kW and a COP of 3.05.

1 MW급 유기랭킨 사이클 시스템 개발 (Development of 1MW Organic Rankine Cycle System)

  • 중저온 배열회수를 통해 열설비의 열효율을 향상시키기 위하여 1 MW급 유기랭킨사이클시스템을 설계, 개발하였다. 포항제철소에 있는 두 대의 100 MW급 기력발전소에서 발생하는 175$^{\circ}C$의 배가스를 산업체에서 발생하는 대표적인 중저온배열원으로 선정하고, 환경오염을 최소화할 수 있는 신냉매인 HCFC-123을 시스템의 작동유체로 선정하였다. 유기냉킨사이클시스템의 시험운전을 통하여 유기랭킨사이클시스템이 산업체의 중저온배열을 회수하는데 유용함을 확인하였다. 열수의 가열, 터빈기동 및 전기투입방법 등의 운전방법을 최적화하였다. 그러나 HCFC-123 공급펌프의 능력부족으로 작동유체의 공급이 부족하여 정격출력보다 낮은 670kW의 전력을 생산할 수 있었다. HCFC-123의 공급유량을 증가시키기 위하여 파이프의 압력손실저하 및 펌프의 성능 향상을 위한 펌프교체 등이 고려되어야 함을 알 수 있었다.
