통계적 처리방법을 이용한 동해안 염해 오손물의 분포특성 (The Distribution Characteristics of Salt Contaminants with Statistical Method in East Coast)

  • In this paper, the distribution characteristics of salt contaminants with the distance from sea in East coast, from Sokcho to Pusan of Korea peninsula were investigated to evaluate the design standard of KEPCO. To get the equivalent salt deposit density(ESDD), conventional brush wiping method was used. As the measuring period is comparatively short, and the measuring interval is long to check the maximum value, acquired ESDD data is very lower than the recommended value in the standard. The measured data didn't follow normal distribution, so it should take the statistical treatment. Through normalizing method, we could get a reliable probability data. In the past investigation, the accumulation characteristics of Japan is consulted to set the criterion, but the climatic condition of Korea is different to Japan. With the comparison of precipitation data and some measured data for long tern accumulation, we could set appropriate accumulation factor.

u-City 운영비 절감방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Strategy for Reducing Operating Costs of u-City)

  • The first full-scale u-City operation has started in Dongtan u-City. As local cities take over and operates the u-City, unexpected issues arise such as securing the budget of operating costs and self-providing the costs with business models utilizing the u-City assets. The paper presents a strategy for solving these issues. The strategy provides a foundation(infrastructure) for long-term operation models which may reduce the long-term operation costs. In order to establish the economic operating framework of u-City, suggested are some cost-reduction models based on the operating costs structure. For each model, a base framework with comparative analysis of operating costs is provided. With these models, each u-City may select a relevant model according to the characteristics of it. We hope that the framework provides the foundation for efficient and sustainable u-City operations.

  • This paper presents passive vibration control method to suppress train-induced vibration on a long-span steel arch bridge. According to the train load frequency analysis, undesirable resonance of a bridge will occur when the impact frequency of the train axles are close to the modal frequencies of the bridge. Because the first mode shape of the long-span steel arch bridge may take anti-symmetric shape along the bridge direction, however, the optimal control configuration for resonance suppression should be considered carefully In this study, bridge-vehicle element is used to estimate the bridge-train interaction precisely. From the numerical simulation of a loom steel arch bridge under TGV-K train loading, dynamic magnification influences are evaluated according to vehicle moving speed and efficient control system with passive dampers are presented in order to diminish the vertical displacement and vertical acceleration.

Lead-Lag Relationships between Import Commodity Prices and Freight Rates: The Case of Raw Material Imports of Korea

  • Purpose - This study investigates the lead-lag relations between the prices of major commodities imported into Korea and corresponding shipping freight rates. This paper aims to provide implications for cross-market causal relations between related economic segments. Design/Methodology - For economic long-run equilibrium between commodity prices and freights, a Johansen (1988) cointegration test is employed first. Then, Granger (1987) causality tests are performed under the vector error correction model (VECM) framework. Findings - The results indicate that the direction of causality varies by raw materials, which is attributable to different economic mechanisms in the corresponding shipping transportation sectors. In addition, the significance of causality becomes blurred during the post-2008 period. Practical Implication - Corporate managers in commodity trading, steelmaking, power generation, and oil refinery sectors can take advantage of the findings in this study as identifying leading economic indicators can be helpful for decision making in both short- and long-term strategies. Originality/value - This study is the first attempt to analyze the inter-relations between commodity prices and corresponding freight rates focusing on raw material imports of Korea.

장기 미집행 도시공원 해소를 위한 정책구성요인 평가 연구 (A study on the evaluation of policy elements for a solution of long-term unexecuted urban parks)

  • 본 연구는 장기 미집행 도시공원 해소를 위한 정책구성요인을 평가함으로써 향후 정책수행을 위한 시사점을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 정책요인 평가는 장기 미집행 도시 군계획시설 혹은 도시공원과 관련된 업무를 담당하는 전문가 집단을 대상으로 시행되었으며, 그 절차는 정책요인의 선정, 정책요인 간 가중치 산정, 평가결과의 해석이라는 세단계로 구성되었다. 평가의 결과, 전문가들은 정책요인 중 국고보조금 확보(0.183), 지방재정계획과 단계별 집행계획의 연계(0.165), 장기 미집행 도시공원의 선별적 존치(0.154), 국유지 무상 양여 및 장기 임대(0.110)와 같은 요인을 상대적으로 중요하게 평가하였다. 향후 도시공원 일몰제의 시행에 앞서 장기 미집행 도시공원 해소를 위한 폭넓고 심도 있는 논의가 이루어질 필요성이 제기된다.

  • 우리나라는 경제발전, 출산율 저하, 보건의료의 발달로 65세 이상 노인 인구의 비율이 2018년 14% 고령사회, 2026년 20% 초고령사회로 예상되어 빠른 인구구조의 변화를 겪고 있다. 고령화에 따라 치매, 중풍 등 일상생활이 어려운 노인들의 수는 날로 증가하고, 핵가족화, 여성의 사회참여 증가 등으로 장기요양이 필요한 노인들을 가정에서 돌보는 것이 어려워졌다. 이에 정부는 이러한 사회적 구조 및 노인문제를 해결하기 위해 장기요양대상 노인의 삶의 질 향상과 가족부양 부담의 완화 등을 목적으로 노인장기요양보험법을 제정하여 시행하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 시설의 민영화와 난립으로 서비스의 공적 책임과 시설의 질 제고에 대한 요청이 확산되고 있는 부분을 살펴보고자 한다. 이 밖에도 저임금 요양인력의 양산, 재원조달 방식에 관한 문제 등의 대비가 다각도로 부족한 부분을 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 노인장기요양보험제도가 초고령화 사회를 대비하여 장기 지속적으로 유지 발전하기 위해서는 법 제도적 측면의 개선방안의 모색과 더불어 노인복지서비스가 신체적 건강 뿐만 아니라 노후 생활의 안정을 위한 정신적 심리적 조치를 강구하는 방안을 검토하고자 한다.

A Study on Network Construction Strategies for Long-Haul Low-Cost Carrier Operations

  • Purpose - This study aims to analyze the characteristics of network construction by Norwegian Air and AirAsia X, which are recognized as leading airlines in the long-haul LCC market. Based on this analysis, this study intends to provide implications for networking strategies for Korean LCCs that seek to enter the long-haul market when the aviation market stabilizes again upon the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology - To conduct the network analysis on long-haul low-cost airlines, the Official Airline Guide (OAG) Schedule Analyzer was used to extract long-haul data of Norwegian Air and AirAsia X. To analyze the trend of the long-haul route network, we obtained the data from 3 separate years between 2011 and 2019. The network was analyzed using UCINET 6.0 in order to examine the network structure of long-haul low-cost airlines and the growth trend of each stage. Findings - Analyzing the network of long-haul routes by visualizing the network structure of low-cost carriers showed the following results. In its early years, Norwegian Air's long-haul route network, centering on regional airports in Spain and Sweden, connected European regions, the Middle East, and Africa. As time passed, however, the network expanded and became steadily strong as the airline connected airports in other European countries to North America and Asia. In addition, in 2011, AirAsia X showed links to parts of Europe, such as London and Paris, the Middle East and India, and Australia and Northeast Asia, centering on the Kuala Lumpur Airport. Although the routes in Europe were suspended, the network continued to expand while concentrating on routes of less than approximately 7,000 km. It was found that instead of giving up on ultra-long-haul routes such as Europe, the network was further expanded in Northeast Asia, such as the routes in Korea and Japan centering on China. Originality/value - Until the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, Norwegian Air actively expanded long-haul routes, resulting in the number of long-haul routes quintupling since 2011. The unfortunate circumstance, wherein the world aviation market was rendered stagnant due to the outbreak of COVID-19, hit Norwegian Air harder than any other low-cost carriers. However, in the case of AirAsia X, it was found that it did not suffer as much damage as Norwegian Air because it initially withdrew from unprofitable routes over 7,000 km and grew by gradually increasing profitable destinations over shorter distances. When the COVID-19 pandemic ends and the aviation market stabilizes, low-cost carriers around the world, including Korea, that enter the long-haul route market will need to employ strategies to analyze the marketability of potential routes and to launch the routes that yield the highest profits without being bound by distance. For stable growth, it is necessary to take a conservative stance; first, by reviewing the business feasibility of the operating a small number of highly profitable routes, and second, by gradually expanding these routes.

웨이트 트레이닝의 상·하지적용이 순발력 변화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Power Change on the Upper·Low Extremity Application of Weight Training)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate out the effects of power by body application of weight training that can increase vertical jump, standing long jump, and medicine ball throw that are important factors for power ability. Methods: Sixteen in normal adult were participated in this study. The subjects were divided into the upper limb weight training group(N=16), the lower limb weight training group(N=16) and they exercised during a four-week period of time, three times a week, 70 minutes each, and the each group did take part in any exercise program. To evaluate the changes in power were measured by using the vertical jump, standing long jump, and medicine ball throw. The data was analyzed with a SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The results showed that the vertical jump, standing long jump were significantly increased in the upper limb weight training group(p<.01) and medicine ball throw was significantly increased in the both group(p<.05). However, there were that showed not significantly differences in all power items between two groups after experiment(p>.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that the weight training were effective in enhancing the power ability. Also, can be considered effective the better lower limb weight training group than upper limb weight training group.

비콘을 활용한 BIS 연동 지능형 버스관리 시스템 연구 (A Study on Intelligent Bus Management System using Beacon-based BIS)

  • 본 연구는 한국전력 eIoT(: energy Internet of Thing) 플랫폼을 활용한 BIT(: Bus Information Terminal) 기능이고, 망구성은 터미널 디스플레이 디바이스, 게이트웨이, 플랫폼, 그리고 서비스서버로 구성 한다. 핵심기능들은 게이트웨이와 디바이스간 LoRa(: Long Range) 기술을 활용하여 프로토콜 데이터 전달하는 부분, 지능화된 애플리케이션 처리 부분 그리고 택시 예약 시스템에 연동되는 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)데이터처리 부분이다. 그리고 BIT에서 서비스될 수 있는 리소스트리가 제시되며, 이것은 애플리케이션 서버와 디바이스에서 공통적으로 사용된다.

주택성능등급 가변성 세부성능 항목의 특성 및 개선방안 (The Characteristic and Improvement of Flexibility Performance Item evaluated by "Housing Performance Grading System")

  • This study aims to suggest improvement plans and explain about the current situation for facilitating Long-life housing, based on the results on flexibility items among 27 items consisting the "Housing Performance Grading System". From the 9th of January, 2006 to the month of July in 2011, study has analyzed evaluation results on 216 different types for each grade and reviewed evaluation criteria and methods. Current evaluation criteria applies quantitative analysis, by calculating in percentage how much bearing walls and columns, which hinder flexibility, take up space in the household. The evaluation rate for each household was assessed in relation to its structural system, and a higher grade was given to column-typed structures. In addition, to facilitate long-life housing, this study extracted harmful factors, expanding the range of evaluation. The first step was to evaluate structure, which is the basic element. The second step can to evaluate the probability of applying resources in response to the changes of structural systems. As The third step, Flexibility item will evaluate the probability of moving the water-using area, suggesting gradual approach. Thus, through evaluations of flexibility items, the study aims to improve the quality of life in household, by avoiding uniform structures and acquiring more freedom for space designs.
