Purpose: Indonesia's maritime logistics and distribution system is currently faced with several challenges, some of which include prolonged export and import time for goods handling as well as the high logistics cost. This study further analyzes the existing business processes in maritime logistics in East Java Province in order to provide solutions to the challenges. Research design, data and methodology: This research was carried out in East Java Province, Indonesia, with data collected through field observations, documentation, and in-depth interviews with all the stakeholders involved. Results: The study showed that the number of stakeholders and activities involved in the flow of goods movement ultimately impacted the length of time. These factors can be classified into the following five: 1) export and import regulations, 2) third party logistics competencies, 3) transportation infrastructure and facilities, 4) adoption of information systems and technology, and 5) maritime line connectivity. Conclusion: Analyzing the three supply chain flows in the maritime logistics and distribution industry called for the need for improvement to increase coordination among related institutions, improve the flexibility of dwelling time to the conditions of each port, enhance service levels, improve transportation infrastructure and facilities, implement information system and technology, and develop shipping routes and networks. Therefore, a collaborative supply chain management system can be realized.

Purpose: The study attempts to explore the operational performance of the existing Malaysian logistics companies and the extent of their adoption of digitalization. The role of digitalization in enhancing the performance of companies in the logistics industry in Malaysia, for value creation, is the topic of study. Research design, data and methodology: A qualitative research method with a semi-structured interview approach was applied and judgmental sampling was used as the sampling technique to collect data. The research has chosen nine companies in the logistics industry in Peninsular Malaysia, with the interviews aimed at eleven members of top and middle-level management. Data analysis was performed using logical system techniques to examine and evaluate data, reorganizing feedback, comparing it with literature, and transforming it into structured, valuable information after interviews. Results: The study revealed mixed opinions on digitalization in logistics, despite its potential benefits such as improved operational efficiency, real-time information, and customer service. However, high costs may hinder financial performance and require revisions due to stakeholder involvement. Conclusions: The Malaysian logistics industry's adoption of digitalization is gaining traction, with most companies satisfied with their status. However, challenges like cost and inefficiency persist, prompting calls for government support to improve efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring sustainable transportation.

Purpose: This research adopts the SERVQUAL and LSQ frameworks to examine the correlation between return reverse logistics service quality of the JD platform and customer satisfaction, as well as the linkage between consumer satisfaction and repurchase intention. Research design, data and methodology: A comprehensive literature review on both domestic and international logistics service quality has been conducted. Considering the unique aspects of JD's return reverse logistics services, an evaluation framework with 5 dimensions and 21 indicators is formulated, including communication, information, return process, empathy, and convenience. A conceptual model exploring the influence of JD's reverse logistics service quality on customer repurchase intention is developed, proposing six hypotheses. For this investigation, 358 valid questionnaires were collected, processed, and analyzed using SPSS 22.0. The structural equation modeling was conducted and validated through AMOS 21.0 software. Results: Following a thorough analysis of data, it reveals that: (1) Information quality, return process quality, and empathy significantly enhance customer satisfaction. (2) Customer satisfaction positively impacts repurchase intention. Conclusion: Based on these findings, three strategic recommendations are offered for e-commerce platforms with in-house logistics systems. The research also discusses limitations and future research directions.

Recently, automobile industry expands from mechatronics area through intelligent information area, and the telematics technology is one of the greatest developing points. The telematics is utilizing the on-board-unit of vehicle's communication system, and it provides necessary information and value-added service to vehicles as well as drivers. Most of the telematics offers the solution of searching a route or generates an optimal path. This paper investigates telematics with the logistics point of view, such as freight location tracking, vehicle emergency information, etc. The telematics is a core technology of automobile industry, and it becomes new business paradigm of IP(information provider). Especially, ETA(estimated arrival time) of freight and distribution tracing information are critical issues in the logistics industry. The successful integration with telematics is introduced in the paper.

According to the fast-paced environment of information technology and improving customer services, the design activities of logistics systems improve customer centric services and delivery performance implementing e-logistics system. The fundamental design issues that arise in the delivery system planning are optimizing the system with minimum cost and maximum throughput and service level. This study is concerned with the integrated model development of delivery system with customer responsive service level for DCM, Demand Chain Management. We used a two-step approach for this study. First, we formulated the supply. center facility planning using stochastic set-covering problem and assigned the customers to the supply center using clustering algorithm. Second, we developed vehicle delivery planning for a supply center based on GIS, GIS-VRP. Also we developed a GUI-type computer program for proposed method for supply center problem using GIS and Geo-DataBase of Busan area. The computational results showed that the proposed method was very effective on a set of test problems.

The world today is advancing towards a digital solution for every indusial domain varying from advanced engineering and medicine to training and management. The supply cycles can only be boosted via an effective management of the warehouse and a stronger hold over the logistics and inventory insights. RFID technology has been an open source tool for various MNCs and corporal organization who have progressed along a considerable drift on the charts. RFID is a methodology of analysing the warehouse and logistic data and create useful information in line to the past trends and future forecasts. The method has a high tactical accuracy and has been seen providing up to 99.57% accurate insights for the future cycle, based on the organizational capabilities and available resources. This paper discusses the implementation of RFID on field and provides results of datasets retrieved from controlled data of a practical warehouse and logistics system.

본 논문에서는 기존의 폐쇄된 기업별 물류시스템의 한계를 극복하기 위한 열린 정보시스템 활용을 통한 기업 간 화물차 공유 원리를 적용하여 회차비용 감소 등의 물류비용 절감을 위한 물류합리화 모형을 개발하였다. 최근에 정보네트워크의 눈부신 발전과 정보인프라가 구축되어 있음에도 불구하고 대부분 국내 물류시스템 운영은 기업별 단독운영의 폐쇄적인 분배정책에 의존하고 있어 제품을 각 기업분배센터에서 소비지로 수송한 후 분배센터로 되돌아갈 때 높은 공차율 상태로 차량을 운영하고 있어 기업물류비용 증가의 원인이 되고 있는 물류효율화 및 혁신을 도모하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 분배시스템의 유통경로 중 기업의 분배센터와 제품의 소비지를 연결하는 수송단계에서의 공차율을 고찰하였으며 이를 통한 화물차공유 운용방식을 적용한 물류합리화 방안을 도출하였다.

The role of Logistics Information Technology(LIT) activity within the firm has broadened considerably over the past decade and it been a topic of growing importance for both practitioners and academicians since the mid-1990's as logistics efficiencies have become a main concern in today's business management. This research empirically examines the difference between firm characteristics and LIT activity, thus offers an strategic guideline for practicers.

본 논문은 물류 정보시스템과 관련된 자동입출고 시스템의 실행 및 최적화에 관한 것이다. 논문은 우선 문헌연구와 이에 따른 사례연구를 제시하고 있다. 사례연구에서는 기업의 프로세스를 분석한 다음 자동입출고 시스템의 실행 및 활용에 대해 조사하였다. 물류정보시스템은 글로벌 환경에서 경쟁력을 유지하기 위해 주요한 구성요소이며 사례연구에서의 기업은 효율적인 물리적 배분관리에 적용하였다. 자동입출고시스템은 저장공간을 극대화하고 생산성 증가, 정확성을 증가시키는 것으로 판명되고 특히 비좁은 통로와 높은 저장선반의 경우 효과적임을 보여주었다.

최근 물류 분야는 국가나 기업의 가치창출의 핵심동력으로 인식되고 있다. 하지만 내륙운송의 경우 정보화시스템의 현대화 및 정보연계는 미진한 실정이다. 국가물류의 효율화를 위해서는 물류흐름상의 정보 단절을 방지하는 것이 중요하며, 각 주체별 물류정보 연계/통합의 필요성이 확산되고 있다. 본 연구는 국가물류 효율화를 위해 각 물류 주체별 정보 현황 및 정보 통합의 문제점을 살펴보고, 물류 정보 표준화 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.
