기술획득 전략에 따른 e-로지스틱스 통합화 방안 사례연구 (A Study on e-Logistics Integration Scheme Using A Strategy of Technical Acquisition)

  • This paper examines to focus on General Strategy of e-logistics activity for SCM(Supply Chain Management) Build-up, especially the field service logistics Integration. And this research analyzes the case study(Business of Strategy Group Unit) Survey) involving effective logistics management that leads customer satisfaction, seeking to find out the key elements of competitive policy. Because problems arise from the differences between their goals and structures, which cause each sied to feel vulneralbe to opportunism or shirking of responsibilities by the other. The goal of a logistics system is to ensure that every family planning client always receives the contraceptives partner wants, and that they are in good condition and have not expired. In order to select, procure, and distribute the right quantities of the right contraceptives, managers of the logistics system must keep informed of the rates of use of each contraceptive and of the quantity of available supplies. As a result, We propose that a firm's e-logistics strategy is an important locus innovation and a crucial source of value creation for the firm its suppliers, partners, and customers.

한국 물류산업의 생산성 결정요인 - 시장지배력과 기업구조를 중심으로 - (Determinants of Productivity in Korean Logistics Industry - Focusing on Market Power and Firm Structure -)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 물류기업의 총요소생산성 증가율 결정요인으로서 개별 기업의 시장지배력과 기업구조의 효과를 실증적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 기존의 연구와 달리 물류산업의 총요소생산성 결정요인으로서 시장점유율, 기업소유구조, 기업연령, 기업규모, 부채비율 등을 사용하였다. 실증분석 결과에 따르면, 물류기업의 시장점유율은 총요소생산성 증가율과 유의한 음의 상관관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 물류산업에서 기업의 성과가 생산성 측면에서 측정될 수 있는 효율성보다 시장점유율에 따른 시장지배력에 영향을 받을 가능성이 높다는 것을 의미한다. 한편 최근에 창업한 기업일수록 총요소생산성 증가율이 높고, 중소기업에 비해 대기업의 총요소생산성 증가율이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 추정모형, 분석대상 기간, 분석대상 산업의 범위에 크게 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 그러나 총요소생산성과의 관계에 있어서 1대주주 지분율로 측정된 기업소유구조나 부채비율은 유의성이나 부호 측면에서 일관된 결과를 보여주지 못하였다.

Effects of AEO-MRA on the Performance of Exporters and Importers in Korea

  • Purpose - This study analyzes the effect of the authorized economic operator-mutual recognition arrangement (AEO-MRA) on the performance of Korean exporters and importers. The effect of the import-export companies' characteristics, such as annual sales, the number of foreign markets, and overseas experience, on the AEO-MRA is deduced; the relationship between this effect and firm performance is analyzed. Design/methodology - An empirical research model was constructed and analyzed using structural equation modeling. The effect of AEO-MRA on logistics and operational performance was derived from the aforementioned characteristics as leading factors of the AEO-MRA. The regulatory influence of cooperation with logistics companies was analyzed in the AEO-MRA effect on logistics performance. Thus, 172 valid samples were obtained from import-export companies certified by the AEO-MRA. Findings - Among the aforementioned characteristics, only "annual sales" has a positive effect on the AEO-MRA, whose effect enhances logistics and operational performances. The AEO-MRA effect did not directly affect operational performance. Owing to the adjustment effect analysis, the AEO-MRA effect and logistics performance relationship is strengthened if the cooperative relationship with the logistics company is higher than a certain level. If this cooperation falls below a certain level, the AEO-MRA effect on logistics performance reduces. Thus, logistics cooperation is an important factor in the AEO-MRA effect and logistics performance relationship. Originality/value - Hinging on the resource-based theory and relational viewpoint, an empirical model that explains the relationship between the AEO-MRA effect and firm performance is established.

DPWN의 사례분석을 통한 우리나라 우정사업본부의 글로벌 물류기업화에 대한 고찰 (Alternatives for Raising the Korea Post as a Global Logistics Firm through the Case Study of DPWN)

  • 전 세계적으로 우편의 비중은 줄어들고 특송 및 물류서비스에 대한 수요는 지속적으로 증가하는 추세에 있다. 최근 우리나라 우정사업본부는 통상우편물의 정체, 우체국예금, 보험의 성장률 둔화에 직면하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 DPWN의 사례분석을 통해 우리나라 우정사업본부의 물류기업화 방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1단계로 물류사업 진출을 위해 조직개편이 선행되어야 한다. 즉 기존의 예금, 우편물, 보험에 물류회사를 설립하는 것이다. 둘째, 2단계로 기존 사업영역에 보관물류 및 복합운송물류 부문 강화를 위해 상호 보완성과 시너지 효과가 있는 대상 기업의 인수나 출자를 통해 종합물류업체로서의 사업영역을 구축하는 것이다. 셋째, 3단계로 중국, 인도 등 물류수요가 많거나 물류시장 규모가 큰 지역을 중심으로 외형을 확대하고 서비스 영역을 확장하는 것이다. 넷째, 4단계로 글로벌 중심의 통합물류서비스를 제공하는 단계로 유럽, 미주를 중심으로 글로벌 네트워크 확장을 위해 인수 합병, 현지법인, 합작회사 및 전략적 제휴 등을 적극적으로 추진하는 것이다. 본 논문의 한계점으로 우정사업본부의 물류산업 진출에 대한 선행연구의 부족으로 우정사업본부의 글로벌 물류기업화와 관련해서 보다 심층적인 전략과 방안이 제시되지 않았다는 것이다. 향후, 이러한 한계점을 개선하고 보완할 수 있는 보다 심층적이고 실증적인 연구가 수행되어져야 할 것이다.

  • Following the increasing importance of logistics function in today's company operation, this work explores the mechanism for cooperation within a supply chain, especially between a firm and an independent logistics supplier. We first characterize the optimal linear logistics contract based upon the recent developments in contract theory, and then investigate the effect of such a contract on the firm's inventory policy. The results indicate that the order quantity becomes smaller and the lead time becomes shorter and under the optimal contract than without the incentive scheme. Accordingly, the service level under the optimal contract becomes higher. These findings are in accordance with the literature on vertical control and JIT (Just in Time) philosophy.

  • In this study, we will conduct an empirical study to see how the 3PL firm's logistics service quality and relationship orientation affects the supply chain performance. To examine the research model and hypotheses, we have used an empirical method based on the field survey in which most of measurements used and verified in previous studies are selected as measurements. The results of our empirical study can be summarized as follows: First, it can be shown that higher level of logistics service quality not only affects satisfaction and relationship orientation positively, but also improves supply chain performance. Second, it can be also shown that satisfaction for logistics service quality affects relationship orientation between shipper and 3PL firm positively. Finally, it can be shown that relationship orientation affects supply chain performance positively. This paper presents much implications both theoretical and practical side.

물류기업의 혁신활동이 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Effect of Logistics Firm's Innovation Activities on Business Performance)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 물류기업의 혁신활동이 혁신성과와 서비스품질의 개선에 영향을 미치는지 여부와 혁신활동을 통해 창출된 혁신성과와 서비스품질이 물류기업의 경영성과에 영향을 미치는지를 분석하는데 있다. 우선 혁신활동, 혁신성과에 관련된 이론과 선행연구를 분석하였다. 그리고 혁신성과와 함께 서비스품질의 개선에 관한 선행연구들도 분석하였다. 이를 근거로 연구모형과 가설을 설정하였다. 이를 분석하기 위해, 한국노동연구원의 사업체패널 자료를 활용했고, 총 88개의 샘플을 사용하였다. 이를 바탕으로 구조방정식 분석을 위해 PLS를 이용하였다. 실증분석 결과, 물류기업의 혁신활동은 혁신성과와 서비스품질개선의 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 혁신성과와 서비스품질은 재무성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 물류기업에게 혁신활동은 물류기업에게 뚜렷한 경쟁우위를 가져다주고, 서비스품질의 개선을 가져다주게 된다. 이는 물류기업이 경쟁에서 승리하고 생존하기 위해서는 꾸준한 혁신활동이 필요하다는 것을 실증적으로 보여주었다.

Does Multinationality Matter the Firm Performance?

  • Purpose - The relationship between multinationality and performance has become a hot topic in academic circles and is very important for multinational firms, especially for Chinese multinational firms, who need more experience to enter the international market. Given this background, this paper attempts to figure out the importance of multinationality to China's firm performance and to explore whether the Four-stage Theory can also be applied to China's firms. Research design, data, and methodology - We employ the panel data of 435 multinational firms from 2008 to 2017 chosen from China's A-shares to conduct an empirical analysis by using a fixed-effects model. In the paper, the performance is represented by ROA (return on assets), treated as a dependent variable, and multinationality is represented by FSTS (foreign sales/total sales), treated as an independent variable. Results - We find that the performance first decreases then rises, then falls down, and rises again in the end. Hence there is a W-shaped relationship between the multinationality of the Chinese manufacturing industries and firm performance, proving that the four-stage theory is also applicable to Chinese multinational firms. Conclusions - These empirical results can provide some advice for policymakers to improve the firm performance such as reducing the logistics cost of multinationality.
