New Paradigm of e-Logistics System Management - An Proactive u-Logistics System Based on Ubiquitous Technology -

  • The emergence of ubiquitous autonomic computing and network environment will change the service architecture information system which will be a new application area in SCM/logistics systems. In this study we surveyed the technical trend map of ubiquitous and its application in SCM/logistics support system design. We described the evolutional model of ubiquitous computing community for SCM/logistics system. It is consisted of three view points; self-growing, autonomic, and context-aware, which will allow the decision makers to be benefited from web and mobile technology and are useful for proactive SCM/logistics support system. Finally, we suggested a cooperative research planning for the development ubiquitous system between the government research center, university, and industry research activities.

새만금 신항 개발을 위한 물류인프라 구축방향 (The Logistics Infrastructure for the Exploitation of Saemangeum New Port)

  • 본 연구의 대상인 새만금 신항은 신설 예정항만으로서 항만현황 및 물동량 처리실적 등 통계적인 자료의 분석에 한계가 있으므로 본 연구에서는 항만물류환경의 거시적 변화와 정부의 새만금 신항만 건설계획 그리고 새만금 신항 개발에 관한 최근의 연구 등을 중심으로 분석함으로서 새만금 신항 개발을 위한 물류인프라 구축방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 새만금 신항 개발을 위한 물류인프라 구축방향으로 첫째, 항만관련 SOC의 구축 등을 통한 유리한 물류환경의 조성, 둘째, 새만금 신항의 국제적인 홍보활동과 물류시장 확보를 위한 항만마케팅 전략 수립, 셋째, 물동량의 수요와 공급을 예측하고 화물의 적기인도 및 처리를 위한 정보망의 구축 등 로지스틱스 사슬의 구축, 그리고 산 학 관의 적극적인 참여와 협력을 통한 로지스틱스 커뮤니티조성 등을 제안하였다.

항만물류산업의 총요소생산성과 그 분해요인분석 (Total Factor Productivity Growth and the Decomposition Components of Korean Port-Logistics Industry)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 확률적 생산변경함수를 이용하여 총요소생산성 성장을 도출하고 그 내부요소를 기술효율성 변화, 기술진보, 규모효율변화, 배분적 효율변화로 구분하여 생산성 성장의 요인을 파악해 보고자 함이다. 1990-2003년간 항만물류산업의 총요소생산성 증가율은 연간 0.019 (1.9%)로서 전산업의 증가율 0.010보다 높다. 그 내부의 주된 기여요인은 기술진보이고 기술효율성변화는 감소하였다. 총요소생산성의 주된 기여요인으로는 항만산업은 배분효율성, 해운산업은 기술진보, 수송장비산업은 규모효율변화를 들 수 있다. 총요소생산성 변화는 1990년대 후반이후에 감소하는 추이를 보였다. 항만물류산업은 전산업에 비하여 매우 낮은 수준의 기술효율성수준을 보여주고 있고 산출탄력성 관점에서는 1990-2003년간 자본의 탄력성(0.391)이 노동의 탄력성(0.227)보다 높지만 규모에 대한 보수는 0.618로서 최적규모에 상당히 벗어나 있다.

국제물류업체의 정보기술(Information Technology) 수용에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on Factors Affecting the Implementation of Information Technology in Korean Global Logistics Companies)

  • This paper examined the factors affecting the implementation of information technology in Korean Global Logistics Companies. Nowadays, the spread of electronic commerce using internet demands a large changes doing business with company to company and give that company a change to recognize logistics. To support logistics activity, all kinds of companies are using the computer and are recognized that the efficient using of Cyber Logistics Information will mainly play a roll to strength the companies competition power. We gathered detailed data on our sample companies mainly from publicly available sources : Korea International Freight Forwarder Association (KIFFA), and companies' web sites. A structured questionnaire was used to collect information about: (1) the company (2) To investigate the factors of the three contexts described above on korean Global Logistics companies's electronic trade adoption and implementation. (3) Usage level of electronic logistics. Most of the approximately 70 questions enumerated in the questionnaire were open-ended, which was consistent with our primary objective of developing a conceptual framework that was informed by empirical evidence. This study suggests that top management support and influential power are main factors for the Korean Global Logistics Companies.

Fresh Agricultural Products Online Retailer's Emergency Logistics Capability Framework During the Pandemic

  • Purpose: During the pandemic, a large number of orders forced online retailers of fresh produce to quickly change their emergency logistics capabilities to meet the needs of ordinary consumers during the pandemic. Our research aims to help online retailers establish an emergency physical distribution framework for fresh produce during disasters to meet consumer needs. Research design and methodology: 160 effective responses were collected from the online response team in Wuhan, China, and exploratory factor analysis was used to determine the emergency logistics capability framework. Twelve experts were invited online to collect their scoring opinions and use the entropy method to determine the importance of emergency logistics capabilities. Results: Our results have identified a total of 17 emergency logistics factors for online retailers, and we found that Transportation route planning and reconstruction capabilities, Emergency plan planning ability, and Supply chain real-time information sharing capability are the most important in the overall framework. Conclusions: This research completely established the physical distribution framework of fresh agricultural products online retailer in emergency situations. It enriches academic resources in the field of emergency distribution and provides a scientific basis for corporate managers to improve their physical distribution capabilities in emergency situations.

국내 도시물류정책의 추세 분석과 발전 방향: 물류기본계획의 변화를 중심으로 (Trend Analysis and Development Direction of Domestic Urban Logistics Policy: Focusing on the Change of Logistics Master Plan)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 도시물류를 대상으로 과거 추세를 분석하고 미래 변화를 전망하여 도시발전에 선제적으로 대응할 수 있는 정책 방향을 제시하였다. 연구 범위는 물류정책기본법에서 제시하는 국가물류기본계획과 지역물류기본계획의 변화를 중심으로 하였다. 연구 진행은 국가물류기본계획을 근간으로 과거부터 현재까지 도시물류와 관련된 정책 변화를 살펴봄과 더불어 장래 예상되는 물류환경 변화에 대응하는 국가의 정책기조를 파악하였다. 그리고 이를 서울시 도시물류기본계획의 내용과 접목시켜 앞으로 도시물류기본계획에서 계속 추진하거나 새롭게 추가해야 할 물류정책을 제안하였다. 정책 제안은 장래 물류환경을 정책적, 사회적, 기술적 변화로 구분하여 제시하였다. 분야별로는 도시계획(10개 정책), 교통계획·ITS(8개 정책), 물류기술·ITS(6개 정책) 및 법·제도(8개 정책) 등이다. 정책의 지속성으로 구분하면 현재 추진 중인 정책이 계속되어야 할 것은 15개, 앞으로 새롭게 도입해야 할 정책은 17개이다.

  • A new logistics concept is needed through the sharing information between suppliers and consumers, which maximizes the customers service and its flexibility by changing functional- oriented to process-oriented. As in many other industries, communication and data manipulation technology have led to systematical change to the logistics industry. One of the biggest changes of the industry that lies ahead is Consolidated Transportation. To improve this systematically false logistical environment, developing an integrated logistics information system with consolidated transportation, framework, standardization, and data integration is essential. However, no party outstands as the leading party for nationwide improvement of logistics, nor does the right analysis and design for it. Therefore, successful nationwide logistics model is yet to exist. This paper provides individual parties, which consider efficient consolidated transportation as their business models, with instructions for logistics information system so that they could be competitive in the market. It also helps companies collect user requirements for efficient consolidated transportation, and utilize it for its development. Finally, this paper extracts the design of algorithm for the efficient consolidated transportation.

온라인 플랫폼서비스 수용의도에 대한 실증연구 -국제물류중심 (Empirical study on the acceptance intention of online service platform - Focused on international logistics)

  • This study is to find out the acceptance intention of international logistics platform which meet the needs of each other of shipper and international logistics company in the online. As you may know, the many korean traditional international logistics companies which have to compete with global logistics companies focused on economics of scale, have been in a big trouble. In this circumstances, though they should get used to the change to survive, they do not know what they try to overcome. So, I hope that this study would be helpful to them.

Investigating the Determinants of Major IT Incident Tickets: A Case Study of an IT Service Provider Firm for Logistics and Distribution Industry

  • Purpose - This study investigates the determinants that affect the number of IT Incident tickets of an IT Service Provider ("ITSP") to logistics industry in order to improve its management process by reducing the incident tickets. Research design, data, and Methodology - This study uses weekly data of IT incident tickets from September 2012 to June 2015. Correlation and regression analyses are conducted. Six identified determinants i.e., IT Change, User Errors, Shipment Volume, Network, Hardware and Software Issues are used as the explanatory variables. Results - Our findings show as following. First, our analysis indicates that IT Change is not a significant determinant as opposed to what commonly believed by many as the most important factor. Second, Software issue is the highest contributor to the Major IT incident tickets, followed by User Error, Network and Hardware issues. Third, it seems there is lead-lag relationship between IT Change and Major IT Incidents tickets as indicated by earlier studies. Fourth, the relationship between IT Change and Major IT tickets is also affected by shipment volume. Conclusions - As policy recommendation, all identified determinants should be treated according to priority. In addition, improving the way IT Changes are implemented will definitely reduce the IT incident tickets.

  • 정보통신기술의 발달로 인한 물류활동의 발달로 인하여 물류서비스를 통한 경쟁우위라는 점이 부각되면서 물류기능이 단순한 지원기능이 아니라 고객유지를 위한 전략적인 경쟁우위의 중요한 원천으로 인식되고 있다. 특히 기업경영의 세계화에 따라 물류정보의 첨단화가 요구됨으로써 사이버물루(e-logistics)환경이 전략적 물류관리의 성패요인으로 작용하면서 정보화시대의 e-물류효율화의 중용성이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 정보화시대의 e-물류변화와 국제물류의 주축을 이루고 있는 제3자 물류와 제4자 물류의 기능을 비교하고 국제 e-물류를 활성화시키기 위해서 종합물류정보망 구축, 법률과 제도개선, 정보표준화의 추진, 기업의 효율적인 물류전략 추진, 물류업체간 전략적 제휴, e-물류환경의 기반구축 등의 문제들을 중심으로 전략적 물류관리방안들을 제시하였다.
