This paper investigates the social attitudes toward compensation of local communities hosting noxious facilities. Using a contingent valuation survey, we find that respondents are more distrustful of government institutes and waste disposal firms than non-governmental organizations. Siting procedures for waste disposal facilities are thought to be unfair 10 general. We also find that social distrust influences the likelihood of voting yes in a referendum to compensate the hosting communities of waste disposal facilities. Individuals who are distrustful of government institutes and waste disposal firms exhibit positive attitudes for the compensation of hosting communities. The higher the level of compensation offered, the less likely to vote yes for compensation.

오늘날 인터넷과 전자출판 기술은 매우 발달되었고 고품질의 해외 학술정보를 이용하는 것은 매우 많은 이익을 가질 수가 있다. 국내 연구자들은 이런 고품질의 전자저널 원문에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 또한 국가 상호간에 전자저널들을 안전하게 보존 및 서비스하기 위해서는 서로 간에 디지털 아카이빙의 활동이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전자저널 국가컨소시엄 참가기관 이용자들에게는 One-Stop 전자원문 무료 서비스와 중소기업, 개인이용자들에게도 저렴한 전자원문 유료 서비스 제공하며 국가적인 전자정보자원의 장기보존체계를 마련을 하기위한 전자원문 로컬호스팅 시스템을 구현하였다.

유니버시아드 대회와 같은 대형이벤트의 성공적인 개최는 국 내외 관광객의 대량 유업효과, 개최국가와 지역의 이미지 개선효과 이외에도 대회준비를 위한 사회간접시설의 조성으로 인한 지역경제 활성화를 도모하는 등 많은 외형적인 변화를 가져온다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 1997년 무주에서 개최된 동계 유니버시아드대회가 개최지역인 농 산촌지역에 끼친 파급영향을 다측면적인 관점에서 분석하기 위하여 종단적인 시간비교연구를 실증적으로 수행하였다. 그 결과 지역주민들이 지각하는 동계유니버시아드 대회의 파급영향은 개최지역의 관광산업과 지역개발분야에서는 투자효과가 큰 것으로 나타났으나, 지역경제의 활성화 측면에서는 그다지 크게 성공적이지 못한 것으로 분석되었으며, 또한 개최지역인 덕유산국립공원의 자연환경에 피해를 준 것으로 평가되었다.

일본 정부는 사용후핵연료의 중간저장시설의 입지로 아우모리현의 무쯔시를 선정했다. 2000년부터 시작된 유치활동이 5 년만에 결실을 맺은 것이다. 한국은 사용후핵연료를 원자력 발전소 내에 저장하고 있는데 2016년이면 저장한계에 이를 것으로 전망되고 있어 일본의 사례연구는 한국에 시사하는 바가 크다. 한국은 경주에 중, 저준위 방사성 폐기물 저장시설을 성공적으로 유치한 경험이 있어 사용후핵연료의 저장시설을 유치하는 학습경험을 축적한 바 있는데 두 나라의 큰 차이점은 한국은 경쟁적인 주민투표를 통하면서 막대한 지역지원금을 지원한다는 점이고 일본은 주민투표를 시행하지 않고 지방자치 정치의 리더쉽이 문제를 해결하는 방식을 택했다는 점이다. 엄청난 지역지원금이 지원되지 않은 점도 일본의 특징이다. 본 연구가 한국의 사용후핵 연료 저장시설을 유치하는 데 도움이 되었으면 하는 바람이다.

이 연구는 스포츠이벤트 개최의 본질적 한계와 문제점을 비판적 관점에서 조망하여 미래지향적 시선을 설정하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구흐름의 초입부분에 스포츠개최에 열광하는 이유와 정당성을 살펴보았고, 이에 따른 체육학계의 움직임을 검토하였다. 즉 스포츠이벤트의 개최 이유와 정당성은 이념적 정치논리를 근간으로 한 실용주의에 기인한다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 선행연구의 흐름도 효용성의 범주에 매몰된 연구결과가 대부분이었다. 그러나 스포츠이벤트 개최는 경제적 기대와 효과측면에서 본질적 한계가 내재함을 알 수 있었다. 한국사회뿐만 스포츠이벤트 개최의 효용성 등식은 일종의 최면효과에 의한 착시현상으로 간주된다. 따라서 지속가능한 미래 스포츠이벤트 개최의 안목은 인식의 틀을 해체시킬 수 있는 비판론자의 주장들이 누적되어 균형을 유지하고, 사회적 합의로까지 확산될 때 스펙트럼이 넓어질 것이다. 즉 또 다른 시선인 비판적 접근은 냉철한 현실적 판단을 환기시킴으로써 맹목적인 수용에 의한 부작용을 최소화시키는 데에도 기여할 것이다. 이와 함께 선진화된 스포츠문화의 의식으로써 스포츠컬처리즘의 지향, 성장과 분배의 문제를 관통하는 통합적 시선, 정치철학으로서의 로컬 거버넌스 등이 상호 연결되고, 에너지가 결집될 때 스포츠이벤트 개최의 합리적 선택이 가능하게 될 것이다.

In tandem with Korea's globalization efforts, local restaurant business in growing leaps and bounds. By the year 2000, the industry is expected to soar to one of the major industries with hosting many large-scale international events. Rising to the occasion, the Korea Restaurant Industry needs change itscurrent modus operandi focusing on management skill improvement and globalizatin of its network. In Particular, they need to have their competity edge against multinational Restaurant brands both in local and overseas markets. To further develop the local industry, we need to work on the following areas. 1. Top management is required to show firm commitment to development of local brand that can be a real player in the global market. 2. To make any impact in the global market, a specific marketing strategy needs to be developed fit for each market. 3. To save initial investment expenditure, a close cooperation among local industries is prerequisite. 4. To make the industry easier to go global, local government needs to provide them with financial and taxational benefits.

The purpose of this study was to gather useful information for establishing an efficient marketing direction by investigating the performance (satisfaction) and importance for the quality, popularization and merchandising of local foods in the Ulsan area. A questionnaire was answered by 500 citizens over 16 years old living in the Ulsan area. The study data were analyzed by Importance-Performance Analysis method(IPA), frequency analysis, T-test, and ANOVA. The analysis of the quality attributes of local foods for tourist merchandising showed that importance was generally higher than performance. 'Sanitation', 'taste', 'freshness', 'healthfulness', 'nutrition' and 'service' were revealed to be significant ones in the quality attributes. The respondents thought that a lot of emphasis needs to be placed on 'generalizing and globalizing local cuisine', 'passing down traditional recipes','hosting various cultural events related with traditional foods', and 'increasing the number of restaurants specializing in local traditional foods'.

스포츠이벤트는 스포츠산업의 핵심 상품이며, 스포츠이벤트 산업은 계속적으로 발전하고 있다. 스포츠이벤트의 성공적 운영을 위해서 유치/준비/운영 과정에서의 업무의 기능에 따른 단계별 이해관계자에 대한 분석이 이루어져야한다. 이 연구는 스포츠이벤트의 핵심 프로세스를 수직, 수평적 관점에서 분석하고 각 단계별 업무기능을 정의하여 이해관계자를 분석하는 연구이다. 연구는 1)조사 2)핵심프로세스의 특성화 및 체계화 분석, 3)핵심기능 프로세스 및 이해관계자 분석의 세 범주로 구성하여 진행하였다. 분석결과 유치단계의 핵심 이해관계자는 유치추진 TF팀을 포함한 지방자체단체 및 위원회, 정부조직, 국내외경기연맹 등 유관단체, 국내외스포츠기구(위원회), 유치위원회로 분석되었다. 준비/운영단계의 이해관계자는 조직위원회, 각종 스포츠 위원회, 국제기구 및 국제조직, 정부 및 지방정부, 관련기업 및 업체, 미디어, 스폰서, 기부자 또는 자원봉사자, 선수, 팀, 관중의 이해관계자 집단으로 분석되었다.

본 연구에서는 평택시가 추진하고 있는 안정지구와 신장지구의 일반근린형 도시재생사업을 중심으로 파악된 문제점을 토대로 도시재생사업 활성화를 위한 개선방안의 중요도 요인을 도출하였다. 상가 주인 및 종업원과 거주 주민을 대상으로 한 1차 설문조사의 분석결과 도시재생사업의 인지도는 높은 편이며 도시재생사업의 필요성도 매우 높게 나타났다. 반면, 사회적 요인·경제적 요인·문화적 요인 3개 모두에서 전체적으로 낮은 만족도를 보이고 있다. 개선방안을 위한 2차 전문가 설문과 AHP분석에 따르면, 행정전문가와 실무전문가의 중요도 선택에서는 다소 차이가 나타났다. 행정전문가 중요도 분석으로 네트워크형 지역거버넌스 구축 중요도는 1순위로 나타났다. 미군 관련 행사 주관 및 장기적 프리마켓운영 중요도는 2순위, 주한미군과 지역사회 간 교류협력 확대 중요도는 3순위로 나타났다. 실무전문가 중요도 분석으로 미군 관련 행사 주관 및 장기적 프리마켓운영 중요도는 1순위로 나타났고, 미군관련축제 행사지원 및 지역 자연경관자원 개발 중요도는 2순위, 상생협력상가 조성 및 공공재원지원방안 중요도는 3순위로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 일반근린형 도시재생사업 활성화를 위해 미군과 지역주민 수요증대를 위한 상업시설의 적극적인 유치를 하고 지역관광과 연계한 프로그램과 미군관련 행사주관 및 장기적으로 프리마켓운영이 필요함을 시사한다. 또한 지역거버넌스 협력이 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

A mega sport event as the globalization phenomenon is not only the symbol of the process of modernization but also the vehicle to upgrade global power and hold a dominant position in the world competition under the post-industrial era. This study notifies the role of mega sport events as a strategy for urban innovation in the context of global and local. Comparing the different roles of mega sport events between developing countries and developed countries, we intend to answer two questions: 1) what explains the nature and role of mega sport event, and 2) what are the major evidences of the transition in the globalization era. The conceptual framework, based on the temporal and spatial perspective, provides the mechanism through which the strategy for urban innovation has been changed from 'motivation for modernization' to 'rethinking of localization.' Focusing on the case of Seoul, we also compare major issues between two phases: role of agent, urban form, and urban development. Finally, this study sheds light on the concept of 'glocalization' which means the convergence of globalization and localization; and suggests the roles of (local) agent for hosting mega sport events.
