A simple quasi-geostrophic model is considered to explain the separation of the East Korean Warm Current(EKWC) and formation of the North Korean Cold Current(NKCC). In this model, the circulation is driven by inflow-outflow condition and modified by local forcing. The solution is decomposed into inflow-outflow and local modes which describe only the effects of inflow-outflow condition and local forcing, respectively. Results of analyses show that both the surface cooling and positive wind stress curl are favorable for the separation of EKWC and formation of NKCC. This fact is compatible with the present knowledge about heat flux and wind stress field over the Sea of Japan.

The most crucial elements of SME growth and development are performance and innovation. In actuality, SMEs find it challenging to enhance their performance and innovation due to limited access to resources. Collaboration with other SMEs in the form of local communities can be an alternative solution to gaining access to external resources. Unfortunately, not many studies have explored the role of the local SME community in the development of innovation and performance of SMEs. This study tries to fill this gap by examining the role of local communities in expanding SMEs' access to resources, in their efforts to improve innovation and performance. Data was collected using an online questionnaire distributed to food and beverage SMEs in Malang Regency. As many as 150 questionnaires were received and considered valid for statistical data analysis using the WarpPLS program. The results show that the SME community plays an important role in improving the innovation and performance of food and beverage SMEs. It is also found that innovation can be a good mediator of community relations with the performance of SMEs. Furthermore, it is also confirmed that the SME community moderates the relationship between innovation and the performance of food and beverage SMEs.

The physical and mathematical foundations of the heat-shielding composite materials functioning under the conditions of aerodynamic heating of aircraft, as well as under the conditions of the point effect of high-energy radiation are considered. The problem of deformation of a thin shallow shell under the action of a local temperature field is approximately solved. Such problems arise, for example, in the case of local destruction of heat-protective coatings of aircraft shells. Then the aerodynamic heating acts directly on the load-bearing shell of the structure. Its destruction inevitably leads to the death of the entire aircraft. A methodology has been developed for the numerical solution of the entire complex problem on the basis of economical absolutely stable numerical methods. Multiple results of numerical simulation of the thermal state of the locally heated shallow shell under conditions of its thermal destruction at high temperatures have been obtained.

In this work, the static behavior of FGM macro and nano-plates under thermomechanical loading. Equilibrium equations are determined by using virtual work principle and local and non-local theory. The novelty of the current model is using a new displacement field with four variables and a warping function considering the effect of shear. Through this analysis, the considered sandwich FGM macro and nanoplates are a homogeneous core and P-FGM faces, homogeneous faces and an E-FGM core and finally P-FGM faces and an E-FGM core. The analytical solution is obtained by using Navier method. The model is verified with previous published works by other models and very close results are obtained within maximum 1% deviation. The numerical results are performed to present the influence of the various parameters such as, geometric ratios, material index as well as the scale parameters are investigated. The present model can be applicable for sandwich FG plates used in nuclear, aero-space, marine, civil and mechanical applications.

In France, the popularization of social rental housing development for regional balanced growth has encountered difficulties due to the increasing costs of housing development in the regions. As a new solution, since 2010, efforts have been made to promote participatory housing in the regions. As of 2023, Strasbourg has 284 households participating in the participatory housing projects. The Strasbourg area has many abandoned houses, and the land is owned by local governments. The local authorities are providing such lands for participatory housing and have established the "Eco-quartier" support association to efficiently support the project and assist in resident-led participatory housing development. This study analyzes the development characteristics of 26 completed participatory housing projects in the Strasbourg area and examines the initial development stages of the representative case, the "Ecologis" project. The success factors of the "Ecologis" project were the active administrative support of the local government, promotion for member recruitment, and the role of "Eco-quartier" in providing expert support teams. In the initial development stage, it identifies the distinctions from a similar concept in Korea, "community housing," and presents implications for the revitalization of participatory housing.

This study attempted to analyze background and industrial difference of RO and SO. RO was launched for solving a problem of terrestrial broadcasting. After solving a problem of terrestrial broadcasting system, RO has played a roll as a local media. On the other hand, SO was launched by government's policy so SO has been protected and brought up by government. Because market of RO and SO is overlap and competitive, RO has been restricted by government for issuing new license and renewal of permission. Presently, environment of media has been changed very dramatically, so various niche media are needed for various customer's needs. In addition, local media are in trouble of playing a role as a public broadcasting service in Korea. Therefore, RO might be a good solution. In this study for the analysis of the user's needs a survey was conducted. This study shows possibility of RO's roll and function as a local media.

PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization) is an optimization algorithm in which simple particles search an optimal solution using shared information acquired through their own experiences. PSO applications are so numerous and diverse. Lots of researches have been made mainly on the parameter settings, topology, particle's movement in order to achieve fast convergence to proper regions of search space for optimization. In standard PSO, since each particle uses only information of its and best neighbor, swarm does not explore diverse regions and intended to premature to local optima. In this paper, we propose a new particle's movement strategy in order to explore diverse regions of search space. The strategy is that each particle moves according to relative weights of several better neighbors. The strategy of exploring diverse regions is effective and produces less local optimizations and accelerating of the optimization speed and higher success rates than standard PSO. Also, in order to raise success rates, we propose a strategy for checking whether swarm falls into local optimum. The new PSO algorithm with these two strategies shows the improvement in the search speed and success rate in the test of benchmark functions.

The main research question of this paper is as follows: How can broadcasting both cause the crisis in democratic participation and yet also offer the solution? The contradiction in broadcast localism has never been adequately resolved in spite of regulation at all in practice, in that localism simply cannot account for the diversity of modern life and for the external forces that incorporate local communities into much larger economic and communications network. The concept of locality in local television, however, has been multiplied and enlarged in order to adjust to "time-space compression". Recently the local television have been "interface" combining and negotiating the globalization of media market and the decentralization of political power, the economies of scale and the activation of local democracy, consequently aiming at the horizontal-cooperative network instead of old vertical-dependent one.

In recent memories, repair is an unavoidable method to maintain its yield and quality. Although many word oriented memories as well as embedded memories in system-on-chip (SOC) consists of multiple local memory blocks with a global spare architecture, most of previous studies on built-in redundancy analysis (BIRA) algorithms have focused on single memory block with a local spare architecture. In this paper, a new BIRA algorithm for multiple blocks with a global spare architecture is proposed. The proposed BIRA is basd on CRESTA which is able to achieve optimal repair rate with almost zero analysis time. In the proposed BIRA, all repair solutions for local memory blocks are analyzed by local analyzers which belong to each local memory block and then compared sequentially and judged whether each solution can meet the limitation of the global spare architecture or not. Experimental results show that the proposed BIRA achieves much faster analysis speed compared to previous BIRAs with an optimal repair rate.

Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) is a special type of vehicle ad-hoc network (VANET), and known as a solution to provide communication among vehicles and reduce vehicle accidents. Geographical routing protocols as Greedy Perimeter Sateless Routing (GPSR) are very suitable for the V2V communication due to special characters of highway and device for vehicles. However, the GPSR has problem that appears local maximum by some stale neighbor nodes in the greedy mode of the GPSR. It can lose transmission data in recovery mode, even if the problem is can be solved by the recovery mode of the GPSR. We therefore propose a Greedy Perimeter Reliable Routing (GPRR), can provide more reliable data transmission, to resolve the GPSR problem in the V2V environment. Simulation results using ns-2 shown that the GPRR reveals much better performance than the GPSR by remarkably reducing the local maximum rate in the greedy mode.
