.DELTA.A를 파라미터로 이용한 피로크랙전파속도에 미치는 재료 및 응력비의 영향에 대한 연구 (Study of Materials and Stress Ratios on Fatigue Crack Propagation Rate Using Parameter ΔA)

  • 본 연구에서는 전보에서 실험역학적으로 도출한 .DELTA.A가 재료 및 하중크기에 의존하는 점에 착안하여, SNC631-A, SNC631-B, S45C, A12024-T3 및 A17075-T6 등 5종 류 재료를 응력비 R=0.1, 0.3, 0.5에서 피로크랙전파속도시험을 실시하고, 피로크랙팁 의 국소피로변형률장의 상태를 정량적으로 나타낼 수 있는 피로변형률확대계수 .DELTA.A(m, P)를 이용하여 크랙전파속도 da/dN을 통일적으로 평가하고, 그 결과의 유용성을 명백 히 하였다.

  • Fatigue fracture is the cyclic fracture phenomena at a very small local area near a crack tip. Therefore, the detailed quantitative experimental analysis about local cyclic strain distribution near a crack tip is prerequisite In order to make an effective parameter able to account for fatigue fracture problems. However, there are few reports on detailed quantitative experimental analysis of a local cyclic strain distribution near a crack tip, because of experimental difficulties. In this study, the distribution of local fatigue strains near a fatigue crack tip was in detail studied using by fine dot grid strain measurement method. From these results, a single parameter, which characterizes local fatigue strain field, was proposed. In addition, this parameter was applied to evaluate the fatigue crack propagation rate.

ESPI System을 이용하여 측정한 국부 변형률이 저사이클 피로수명에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Local Strain on Low Cycle Fatigue using ESPI System)

  • Low cycle fatigue cracks are mainly detected at discontinuous welded locations with high stresses under repeated cyclic static loads due to cargo leading and unloading. Theoretical and analytical methods have been used for evaluation of local stress and strain which have an effect on a prediction of fatigue life, but those have difficulties of considering stress concentration at notched location and complicated material behavior of welded joint or heat affected zone. Electronic speckle pattern interferometry(ESPI) system is nondestructive and non-contact measurement system which can get the relatively accurate full field strain at critical positions such as welded zone and structural discontinuous location. In this study, local strain was measured on welded cruciform joint by ESPI system and then low cycle fatigue test was performed. Effect of local strain on low cycle fatigue life was examined by measured values using ESPI system. Moreover, experimental fatigue life was compared with established S-N curves using theoretical local strain and stress calculated by Neuber's rule.
