Around the rural village area the traditional markets which are center the small capital it was active at the strong-point and the possibility the fact that it is developed. With this the same small capital currently as the city and the area where the quality of the rural village coexists, has the regional quality which belongs in guard of the capital region or strong-point city. With relative estrangement from the support process against this result past falling behind farming village it does not illustrate the possibility of knowing the fact that the duplex point who is falling behind as guard territory of reverse appears. Selects the small capital of the each area from like this point of view and the possibility of knowing center role of traditional market the possibility which is various is the possibility of doing in the process which propels an activation. Currently it is planned from the multi local self-governing group and the result which investigates the traditional market activation contents which are in the process of propelling, it will be able to discover the multi branch problem points against a traditional market activation.

This study analyzed that introduction function and program how influence about quality of life local resident and development of region according to real development. Also, it suggested policy implications of area activation plan through complex development of railway station area. In research method, the factor and structure affecting area activation in complex development of railway station area analyzed positively using the PLS structural equation focused on citizen near station area. As a result of study, in regional economic vitalization, the factors of software(marketing support, transfer system support, plan and design support, complex development support, law institution improvement, etc) and the factors of hardware(traffic function, information exchange function, commercial business function, housing features, amenity function, etc) are represented to influence significantly and then, in quality of life of local resident, the factor of hardware analyzed to influence significantly, but the factor of software and network did not. In comparison, the factor of network is represented that it did not contributed in regional economic vitalization and quality of life of local resident. So, political supplementations are needed.

Sejong City Library information services and programs proposed in this study are proposed by combining cases of local representative libraries and overseas libraries. As a feature of the proposal, first, various information services that can be provided by the Sejong City Library are proposed by area, by user, by data type, by media, by partner institution, etc. Second, by reinforcing user programs for each life cycle, various reading programs by age and interest, such as reading discussion, reading experience, and reading events, are provided. Reinforce user-based programs that reflect the characteristics of Sejong City's population, such as adult, child, and family programs. Third, secure and utilize maker space space. Fourth, the reading program developed by the Sejong City Library is promoted and shared in cooperation with local libraries. Fifth, induce participation of local residents in Sejong City, volunteer activities and talent donation. Sixth, propose library information services using library websites and social media, and develop channels for mutual cooperation with users.

The Landscape Act was enacted in 2007 introducing a new procedure of the Local Landscape Agreement and the Local Landscape Improvement Projects. The act has granted local governments a legal basis to support residents participation activities in order to create, improve, and maintain the townscape quality of their neighborhood environments. The degree of utilization of this particular process, however, is far below the expectation. Partly, it is due to the lack of field experience and concrete guidelines for preparation and implementation in actual landscape planning process. This study aims to seek for detailed solution to lead the residents participation for local landscape improvement in Korea through consideration for institutional strategies and cases about the local landscape planning and management in Japan. Local landscape improvement projects in Japan are progressing successfully in concurrence with a variety of local participants such as residents participation, administrative supporting and supporting of local company. And it will be possible to support systematically with systematization of participants, such as NPO and a council.

This study proposes the following directions on the basis of results gained from a survey in Yamanasihyun Kawaguchikocho, where the herb festival is successfully held, in order to activate the local economy by herb. 1) The herb education for person in charge in the local authorities, the promoter of herb festival, has to be preceded and the local residents should try to understand what the herb is. 2) For a successful herb festival in the aspect of local economy and environmental conservation, detailed basic study and publicity including human -, natural environment, ecological conditions for herb should be peformed. 3) Herb event should have various programs and formats to arouse the user's interest and should be a place for environmental education.

In this work, local oxidation behavior in phosphorous ion-implanted 4H-SiC has been investigated by using atomic force microscopy (AFM). The AFM-local oxidation (AFM-LO) has been performed on the implanted samples, with and without activation anneal, using an applied bias (~25 V). It has been clearly shown that the post-implantation annealing process at $1,650^{\circ}C$ has a great impact on the local oxidation rate by electrically activating the dopants and by modulating the surface roughness. In addition, the composition of resulting oxides changes depending on the doping level of SiC surfaces.

This study attempted to do a research on whether local festivals contributed to local economic vitalization in an empirical aspect focusing on Almedalen's case of Sweden has not been discussed in Korea. For this, by analyzing Gotland's sociocultural and economic aspects into 3 steps and evaluating them, the study tried to derive policy implications for benchmarking Almedalen in Korea in the future. As a result of analyzing the economic effect of Almedalen in Sweden into 3 steps, it was shown that in the analysis of resources in Step 1, Almedalen positively affected tourist allurement based on Gotland's beautiful natural landscape. In the evaluation of operation in Step 2, according to the result of examining an increase in population and stabilization with a valuation index related to the activation of local economy, Gotland was steadily seeing a new inflow of population, due to which it can be confirmed that local income increases as various jobs are being created. Finally, as a result of examining the improvement in local image in Step 3, it was shown that as diverse members from all walks of life participated in Gotland's festival, external communication became flexible and the opportunity of social participation increased, which positively affected local image. Based on the study results, the policy implications for benchmarking Almedalen, Sweden's local festival, are as follows: First, selecting an appropriate place for attracting the participation of various people is needed. Second, local festivals should be places for communication to exchange opinions, not specific institute-oriented unilateral provision of information. Third, while advancing local festivals for nonprofit, the efforts to make positive changes in local image are needed.

Bone remodeling is characterized by the continuing processes of osteoblast-mediated bone formation and osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. Bone metabolism is tightly regulated at the local level by networks of hormones, cytokines, and other factors. In pathological conditions of bone remodeling, including osteoporosis and periodontal diseases, inflammatory cytokines and local mediators are responsible for enhancement of osteoclast resorption and inhibition of repair at the sites of bone resorption. TNF-${\alpha}$ is a pleiotropic hormone with actions on the differentiation, growth, and functional activities of normal and malignant cells from numerous tissues. TNF-${\alpha}$ has been proposed as a local mediator of the control of bone turnover in situations of chronic inflammation, and it has been assumed that the local source of TNF-${\alpha}$ is the monocyte in the adjacent bone marrow or the local circulation. TNF-${\alpha}$ is a potent inducer of bone resorption. TNF-${\alpha}$ is known to induce the activation of apoptotic signaling pathway, which leads to the apoptosis of bone cells. We demonstrated that treatment of murine osteoblastic MC3T3E1 cells with TNF-${\alpha}$ decreases proliferation as well as alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity in a dose depenent manner. In addition, TNF-${\alpha}$ increases osteoclast-like cell formation in $1{\alpha}$, 25(OH)2D3 or PGE2-treated bone marrow cell culture. When cells were cultured in TNF-${\alpha}$ free ${\alpha}$-MEM, this inhibitory effect of ALP activity was reversible up to 10 ng/ml TNF-${\alpha}$, in contrast, at the 20 ng/ml TNF-${\alpha}$, irreversible. In this concentration, TNF-${\alpha}$ may induce apoptosis in MC3T3E1 cells. In this study, TNF-${\alpha}$ induces apoptosis resulting in chromosomal DNA fragmentation, preceded by JNK/SAPKs and caspase-3 activation. Our present results show that JNK/SAPKs and caspase-3 are activated by TNF-${\alpha}$, suggesting that the JNK/SAPKs and caspase-3 participate in the bone resorption, associated with apoptosis.

Objective: The vibration device is one of the most commonly used warm-up devices not only for healthy athletes but also for healthy individuals. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the immediate effects of local vibration on ankle plantar flexor muscle activation and peak torque in healthy adults. Design: One-group pretest-posttest design. Methods: This was a single-group study comprising a total of 36 (16 males and 20 females) participants. The average age of the 36 participants was 22.3 years. All the participants' concentric and eccentric peak torques of the gastrocnemius lateralis muscle were measured using an isokinetic device. Simultaneously, the participants' muscle activity was measured by surface electromyography. After the pre-experimental data were collected, the participants comfortably sat on the prepared chair with their hips and knees flexed to 90°. While in sitting position, local vibration was applied for 10 minutes using a 1:1 ratio intermittent pulsing mode device based on a previous study. Then, the post-experimental data were collected immediately after the local vibration by performing a similar process performed during the pre-experimental data collection. Results: The results showed a significant difference in muscle activity and eccentric peak torque (p<0.05). On the contrary, concentric peak torque values showed an insignificant difference with pre- and post-value. Conclusions: The results of this study demonstrated that local vibration can be possibly considered as one of the effective ways to increase ankle plantar flexor muscle activity and muscle performance, specifically the eccentric peak torque, in healthy adults.

Recently, tourists and sightseers are increasingly showing their interests in the native local food cultures as their living standards improve. This is why the local autonomy bodies are vigorously trying to develop their local native foods as tourism commodities, which is a part of their efforts to bring a life to their local economies. This study explores the solutions to promote the native local foods of Jeonju area as a tourism item, eventually contributing to the progress of the local economy. The target population of this study was the owners of native local food restaurants in Jeonju area, and the survey was conducted from February 10th to 25th, 2008. For data analysis, frequency analysis was used. In order to achieve this goal, analysis on local restaurant managers for their business operation should be conducted. The results showed they had daily sales of under 100,000 won and did restaurant promotions through pamphlets, brochures and so forth. The development of food was carried out mostly by the restaurant owners and the restaurant management type was independent. To activate the food tourism in Jeonju area, it is necessary to develop a representative native local food restaurants of Jeonju area as a tourism attraction, excavating new food festivals and food tourism courses suited to different areas and developing various food ingredients and spice packages.
