Bearing Load Distribution Studies in a Multi Bearing Rotor System and a Remote Computing Method Based on the Internet

  • A model in the form of a Bearing Load Distribution (BLD) matrix in the Multi Bearing Rotor System (MBRS) is established by a transfer matrix equation with the consideration of a bearing load, elevation and uniform load distribution. The concept of Bearing Load Sensitivity (BLS) is proposed and matrices for load and elevation sensitivity are obtained. In order to share MBRS design resources on the Internet with remote customers, the basic principle of Remote Computing (RC) based on the Internet is introduced ; the RC of the BLD and BLS is achieved by Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) technology.

  • This paper propose seamless transfer operation between grid-connected and stand-alone mode in the three-phase inverter for microgrid. The inverter operates grid-connected mode and stand-alone mode. Grid-connected mode is the inverter connected to grid and stand-alone mode is to deliver energy to the load from inverter at grid fault. When conversion from gird-connected to stand-alone mode, the inverter changes current control to voltage control. When grid restored, the inverter system is conversion from stand-alone to grid-connected mode. In this case, load phase and grid phase are different. Therefore, synchronization is essential. Thus Seamless transfer operation stand-alone to grid-connected mode. In this paper, propose sealmless transfer operation between grid-connceted and stand-alome mode, and this method is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • 주상복합건물의 구조시스템은 휨변형에 의해 횡력에 저항하는 전단벽 구조와 전단변형에 의해 저항하는 라멘구조의 복합구조로 이루어져 있으며, 이 두 구조의 원활한 힘의 전달을 위하여 전이층에 주로 춤이 큰 보를 사용한다. 주상복합건물은 이러한 큰 질량과 강성을 갖는 전이층으로 인하여 유한요소법에 의한 해석 시 동적 해석을 수행하여야 하며, 일반적인 해석 절차로는 해결하기 어려운 많은 문제점을 야기한다. 일반적으로 주상복한건물의 해석시 전이층 바닥판은 강막을 적용하거나 판요소로 직접 입력하나 적절한 평가없이 사용되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 강막 적용에 따른 영향을 평가하여 올바른 해석 방법을 제시한다.

정하중을 받는 승용차 타이어의 진동특성에 관한 연구 (A study on vibration characteristics of passenger car tire under the static load)

  • We treat the vibrations of circular beam and make use of the method employed by J.T.Tielking, which is based on the principle of Hamilton. The Hamilton's principle requires the determinations of the potential and the kinetic energy of the model as well as done by internal pressure forces. Thje potential energy is composed of a part due to elastic deformations of the beam and a part due to radial and tangential displacements of the tread band with respect to the wheel rim. The equations of motion for such a model are derived by reference to conventional energy method. The accuracy of the expressions is demonstrated by comparison of calculated and experimental natural frequencies for circular beam. The circular beam experiences a harmonic, radial excitat- ion acting at a fixed point on the beam. Modal parameters varying the inflation pressure and load are determined experimentally by using the transfer function method.

  • By using Frenet formulation and Timoshenko beam theory, the partial differential equations of motion are derived for a helical spring having a doubly symmetrical cross section subjected to the pre-load axially. These equations of motion are solved to give the dispersion relationship and dynamic stiffness matrix is assembled. Natural frequencies are obtained from the receptance of the system. The results of the dynamic stiffness method are compared with those of the transfer matrix method from published examples and finite element method.

미끌림 방지턱을 이용한 강관말뚝 머리 결합부의 구조특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Structural Characteristics of Non-slip Device in Connecting Method Between Steel Pipe Pile and Footing)

  • 강관말뚝의 속채움 콘크리트 B방법에서 미끌림방지턱의 구조적인 특성을 알아보기 위하여, 강관말뚝머리의 내부에 미끌림방지턱을 설치하지 않은 시험체와 2단의 곡률 강편 미끌림방지턱을 강관말뚝내부에 용접한 시험체(시방서 방법), 그리고 미끌림방지턱을 다수의 곡률 강편과 고장력볼트로 체결한 시험체(개발형 방법)에 대하여 실물크기 인발 및 압발 실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 미끌림방지턱이 없는 시험체는 최대인발하중 15.6tonf에서, 최대압발하중 27.57tonf에서 콘크리트의 화학적 부착파괴가 발생하였다. 그리고 미끌림방지턱이 있는 시방서 방법과 개발형 방법의 시험체는 없는 시험체보다 최대인발하중의 약 8.9배와 최대압발하중의 6.2배 크게 나타났다. 또한 시방서 방법과 개발형 방법의 하단 미끌림방지턱에 대한 하중분담비율은 거의 동일한 거동을 보인 반면에, 상단 미끌림방지턱은 시방서방법보다 개발형 방법의 하중분담비율이 크게 기여하였다. 그리고 시방서 방법과 개발형 방법의 미끌림방지턱 형상에 의한 합성작용과 구조성능은 거의 동일하였다.

풍하중 구현 및 내풍특성 평가를 위한 선형질량 가진시스템 설계 (Design of a Linear Mass Excitation System for Simulating Wind-induced Responses of a Building Structure)

  • In this paper, excitation systems using linear mass shaker (LMS) are presented in order to simulate the wind induced responses of a building structure. The actuator force for the excitation systems is calculated by using the inverse transfer function of a target structural response to the actuator. Filter and envelop function are used such that the error between the wind and actuator induced responses is minimized by preventing the actuator from exciting unexpected modal response and initial transient response. The analyses results from a 76-story benchmark building problem in which wind load obtained by wind tunnel test is given, indicate that the excitation system installed at a specific floor can approximately embody the structural responses induced by the wind load applied to each floor of the structure. The excitation system designed by the proposed method can be effectively used for evaluating the wind response characteristics of a practical building structure and for obtaining an accurate analytical model of the building under wind load.

Strut-and-tie model of deep beams with web openings - An optimization approach

  • Reinforced concrete deep beams have useful applications in tall buildings and foundations. Over the past two decades, numerous design models for deep beams were suggested. However even the latest design manuals still offer little insight into the design of deep beams in particular when complexities exist in the beams like web openings. A method commonly suggested for the design of deep beams with openings is the strut-and-tie model which is primarily used to represent the actual load transfer mechanism in a structural concrete member under ultimate load. In the present study, the development of the strut-and-tie model is transformed to the topology optimization problem of continuum structures. During the optimization process, both the stress and displacement constraints are satisfied and the performance of progressive topologies is evaluated. The influences on the strut-and-tie model in relation to different size, location and number of openings, as well as different loading and support conditions in deep beams are examined in some detail. In all, eleven deep beams with web openings are optimized and compared in nine groups. The optimal strut-and-tie models achieved are also compared with published experimental crack patterns. Numerical results have shown to confirm the experimental observations and to efficiently represent the load transfer mechanism in concrete deep beams with openings under ultimate load.

다철근 네일의 현장인발시험 및 수치해석 (Field Pull-out Test and Numerical Analysis for Multi-rebar Nail)

  • 본 연구에서는 단철근 네일과 다철근 네일의 인장강도를 조사하기 위해 단철근과 다철근 네일의 극한인발시험과 크리프시험을 수행하였다. 철근과 시멘트 그라우트의 부착력과 인장하중에 의해 유발된 마찰력, 하중전이 특성을 조사하였다. 단철근과 다철근 네일의 현장인발시험과 유한차분해석 프로그램의 하나인 $FLAC^{2D}$를 이용하여 얻은 결과를 분석하고 비교하였다. 다철근 네일의 현장인발시험결과 단철근 네일에 비해 인발파괴하중이 크고 하중전이가 큼을 알 수 있다.
