A 3-D rehabilitation robot system is developed in this paper. The robot system is for the rehabilitation of upper extremities, especially the shoulder and elbow joints, and has 3-D workspace for enabling occupational therapy to recover physical functions in activities of daily living(ADL). The rehabilitation robot system, which is driven by actuators, has 1 DOF in horizontal rotational motion and 2 DOF in vertical rotational motion, where all actuators are set on the ground. Parallelogram linkage mechanisms lower the equivalent inertia of the control elements as well as control forces. Also the mechanisms have high mechanical rigidity for the end effector and the handle. Passive motion mode experiments have been performed to evaluate the proposed robot system. The results of the experiments show and excellent performance in simulating spasticity of patients.

ERP system is a very popular tool for pushing management innovation and implementing an integrated information system. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship among the structure of production systems, types of implementation strategy, relative importance of competitive goals, information technology and culture level, and the efficiency from using the system. The data for this study were collected from 45 Korean manufacturing firms that have implemented ERP system. Research results confirm that the success factors include the top managements' strategic views and culture level related to new information technology. But the linkage between the structure of production systems and types of implementation strategy is proved to be very weak. Also control effect of types of implementation strategy on the efficiency of the organization is not strongly recognized. A summarized report of other findings is provided as well.

As part of effort to reduce the process time from design to manufacture and delivery, the concept of CE(concurrent engineering) has been applied to design process. In this research, the drawing information management system (DIMS) was developed based on CE. The system can distribute electronic documents of drawing or work instruction parallel to all reviewers simultaneously and collect their annotations through network. Mark-up functions are used for annotations on the electronic documents. DIMS is a system which integrates drawing management, engineering BOM, CAD and raster drawings, etc. In this system, a SUN workstation is interfaced with PCs by LAN. CIMCAD-2D, Image Hunter, and ORACLE RDBMS are used for CAD drawings, raster drawings, and drawing information management, respectively. As an integration tool for all the information, LINKAGE is adopted.

For the implementation of CE(Concurrent Engineering), the TDMS(Technical Document Management System) which integrates design and manufacuring information, is required. In this paper a drawing information management system, one of the essential modules for the TDMS has been developed. The system is operated in SUN SPARC II workstations. A CAD software called CIMCAD-2D is used for the storage and management of drawings. Relational DBMS ORACLE is used for the development of information data bases concerned with drawings. As an integration tool, the multi-media software called LINKAGE is used. Various functions for drawings and concerned information have been developed with the internal language CIMSHELL and SQL $^*PLUS$.

Recently as users' requests for geographic information systems are being more various, several new functions are being added to existing geographic information systems. One of them is linkage of spatial geographic data and video / image data to offer more realistic information of geographic objects to users. Geographic information systems implementing this function are called video geographic information system. In this paper, we design and implement a video geographic information system for providing map data, video data and link information of them to web applications. We 1) design system architecture of a video geographic information system, 2) analyze some processes to construct link information of map data and video data, 3) design database schema to store map data, video data, and link information, and 4) design some XML/GML schema used to query and retrieve these data for web applications.

A mechanical linkage system to measure the operating temperature of the piston is developed and installed to the engine. Actual temperature distribution is measured for comparison with the numerical results. Heat transfer at the piston is analyzed using an FEM program. Thermal boundary condition of piston surface is determined by analytical and empirical methods. The temperature distribution and the thermal deformation are obtained by the FEM program.

'nevertheless. it has been criticized for marketing tools. including lack of publicity, institutional inertia. etc. A new approach for improving Kwangju Kimch Festival is needed to satisfy the needs not only for residents but also for visitors. especially japan tourists. the best way of improving the current Kwangju Kimch Festival might be the development of the product(for exemple, effective linkage system with tourist attractions) and promotion(advertising. publicity).

Six Sigma is one of the most active subjects in quality management. This studs deals with some existing weaknesses that may wise in implementing Six Sigma in real world situations. The main weaknesses discussed here include the lack of understanding of cultural aspects on the nations and industries, the poor linkage between quality, finance and accounting from the bottom line point of view, and the difficult development process of metrics for all improvement results to validate the effect of Six Sigma. Finally, the key success characteristics for a good Six Sigma project are presented.

Korean traditional Oriental medicine is a medical system that has been developed based on the locality and history of Korea as well as the blood and constitution of Korean people. It is closely connected to Korean history and culture, and is in close internal linkage with oral and written legends, traditions and folktales. Referring to previous researches on these legends, the present study extracted medicine related legends from various legend collections, classified them by subject, analyzed representative cases, and examined their meanings and values in terms of medical culture.
