  • Digital map should have the up-to-dateness as well as the accuracy to perform a role as the national spatial data. As digital mapping process require aerial photograph, surveying, and field working, it consumes a lot of time and cost. So there is a limit to maintain the up-to-dateness. If we updates the digital map frequently by using the as-built drawings, we can prevent the waste of national budget by reuse of existing drawings and make accuracy updates from existing survey results. In spite of this advantages, due to insufficiency of CAD drawing standard, inconsistency of file types of as-built drawings and digital maps, and topology relations between input features and original features, so the frequent updates using the as-built drawings is on the difficult situation to perform. In this research, first, CAD features extracted from as-built drawings land the new/update whether original features exist or not and generate topology from spatial relation of features. Second, suggest the efficient partial-update-plan performing integrity test. As a result, guarantee the accuracy and the up-to-dateness of digital map.

  • This trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of overwrap, vacuum, and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) on poultry breast fillets' microbiological, biochemical shelf life and sensory attributes. The fillets were divided into 4 groups, and each of the treatments was replicated 3 times with 60 breast fillets. The first group was a control group with overwrap packaging; the second group was vacuum packed (VP); the third and fourth groups were MAP-1: 0% O2, 40% CO2, 60% N2, and MAP-2: 20% O2, 40% CO2, 40% N2. The microbiological and biochemical analyses were performed for the total viable count, coliform count, Pseudomonas count, Salmonella count, total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-N), pH, cooking loss, color, lipid oxidation, tenderness, and sensory analysis. The data were analysed through two-way ANOVA by Minitab (Minitab 17.3.1). Meat treated with understudy MAP compositions and vacuum packaging reduced total viable count, Pseudomonas count, and total coliform count than control (p<0.05). TVB-N remained below the recommended limit throughout storage except aerobic packaging (p<0.05). Cooking loss (%) was lowered and showed non-significant results (p>0.05) between vacuum packaging and both MAP concentrations. The meat stored in MAP-2 was characterised by higher (p<0.05) visual scores. Whilst MAP-1 showed higher (p<0.05) L* values and overall acceptability. Sample packaged under aerobic packaging showed significant (p<0.05) results for b* and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS). Meat stored in aerobic packaging showed higher (p<0.05) shear force values. The outcome of this trial may help to promote the application of understudy MAP compositions and rapid detection of microbes by biochemical analysis under local conditions.

  • The aim of this study was to use the information deduced from biotopemap in Boryeong, Chungnam province conducted in 2011 and to select the wildlife survey point. The information used for the study was deduced from the knowledge and experience of wildlife specialists and was realized by 6 environmental variables (Outside distance from food vegetation, Outside distance from farm land, Outside distance from forest, Human density, Outside distance from road, Outside distance from water). 6 environmental variables were modeled by map overlay method and the model could deduce the correlation of 94.72% as a result of comparing with occurrence information. The areas predicted to have many occurrences were rural landscapes, forests, and valleys, and they can be used to deduce the quality wildlife survey results in the limit of survey range (area, schedule, and budget). However, it had the limit points such as the inside of forests was excluded, all species did not prefer the same habitat. The following studies are needed for this part in the future.

  • This paper presents a new method to estimate the pose of a moving object accurately using a monocular camera and a low-end GPS+IMU sensor system. For this goal, we adopted a deep neural network for the semantic segmentation of input images and compared the results with a semantic map of a neighborhood. In this map matching, we use weight tables to deal with label inconsistency effectively. Signals from a low-end GPS+IMU sensor system are used to limit search spaces and minimize the proposed function. For the evaluation, we added noise to the signals from a high-end GPS-IMU system. The results show that the pose can be recovered from the noisy signals. We also show that the proposed method is effective in handling non-open-sky situations.

  • The traffic noise of Busan, the second largest city in Korea, is polluting the area. Noise map is a map that shows data on an existing or predicted noise condition in terms of a noise indicator, breaches of a limit value, the number of dwellings exposed to certain values of a noise indicator in a certain area, or on cost-benefit ratios or other economic data on mitigation methods or scenarios with Geographic Information System. With noise map, the effect of traffic noise and the efficiency of city development plan are exactly estimated. So making systematic counteroffer is possible with it. This study is aimed to the construction of basis for noise map construction method for domestic use and the area focus is Busan.

  • White strains of Hypsizygus marmoreus are more difficult to cultivate than are brown strains; therefore, new white strain breeding strategies are required. Accordingly, we constructed the genetic map of H. marmoreus with 1996 SNP markers on 11 linkage groups (LGs) spanning 1380.49 cM. Prior to analysis, 82 backcrossed strains (HM8 lines) were generated by mating between KMCC03106-31 and the progenies of the F1 hybrid (Hami-18 × KMCC03106-93). Using HM8, the first 23 quantitative trait loci (QTLs) of yield-related traits were detected with high limit of detection (LOD) scores (1.98-9.86). The length, thickness, and hardness of the stipe were colocated on LG 1. Especially, length of stipe and thickness of stipe were highly correlated given that the correlation coefficients were negative (-0.39, p value ≤ .01). And a typical biomodal distribution was observed for lightness of the pileus and the lightness of the pileus trait belonged to the LG 8, as did traits of earliness and mycelial growth in potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium. Therefore, results for color traits can be suggested that color is controlled by a multi-gene of one locus. The yield trait was highly negatively correlated with the traits for thickness of the stipe (-0.45, p value ≤ .01). Based on additive effects, the white strain was confirmed as recessive; however, traits of mycelial growth, lightness, and quality were inherited by backcrossed HM8 lines. This new genetic map, finely mapped QTLs, and the strong selection markers could be used in molecular breeding of H. marmoreus.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of packaging methods and sterilization treatment on storability and microbial control in paprika fruits. When treated with chlorine dioxide gas for 3, 6, and 12 hours and cold plasma gas for 1, 3, and 6 hours, and then packed in a carton box and stored in a 8 ± 1℃ chamber for 7 days, chlorine dioxide treated 12 hours and plasma treated 6 hours was prevented the development of E·coli and YM(yeast and mold). Accordingly, the control was treated with chlorine dioxide for 12 hours and plasma for 6 hours, packed using a carton box and 40,000 cc·m-2·day-1·atm-1 OTR film (MAP), and stored in a 8 ± 1℃ chamber for 20 days. Fresh weight loss rate during storage was less than 1% in the MAP treatments, and the visual quality of the MAP treatments was above the marketability limit until the end of storage. There was no difference in the contents of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and ethylene in the film. In the case of firmness, the chlorine dioxide treatments was low, and the Hunter a* value, which showed chromaticity, was highest in the Plasma 6h MAP treatment. Off-odor was investigated in the MAP treatments, but it was very low. The rate of mold growth on the fruit stalk of paprika was the fastest and highest in the chlorine dioxide treated box packaging treatments, and the lowest in the chlorine dioxide treated MAP treatments at the end of storage. The aerobic count in the pulp on the storage end date was the lowest in the plasma treated box packaging treatments, the lowest number of E·coli in the chlorine dioxide treated MAP treatments, and the lowest yeast & mold in the chlorine dioxide treated box packaging treatments. As a result, for the inhibition of microorganisms during paprika storage, it is considered appropriate to treat plasma for 6 hours before storage regardless of the packaging method.

  • In environmental impact assessment, noise impact assessment usually consists of three stages surveying the existing noise levels by measurements, predicting noise levels induced by construction works and predicting noise levels after the completion of project. When predicting noise level in urban area, this method does not consider acoustic phenomena like multi reflection, diffraction and absorption due to complex topographic configuration of building and terrains. For the purpose, a noise mapping tool is utilized to produce a series of noise maps, which are those for the present, for the works of construction and for the future. For accurate noise mapping, acoustical and topographic information is essential. Standard sound power levels and directivities of various construction equipments are required and scheduling of construction processes and locations of the equipments should be provided. In the case of exceeding legal limit, mitigation measures are applied to satisfy the legal limits and subsequent noise map is obtained and checked.

  • The application field of smart terminals is increasing and its application is also spreading in the defense field. The use of smart terminal based map application is very important in battle fields. The problem is that the communication infrastructure is easy to collapse and the use of GPS is usually disturbed. In this paper, we studied the maps stored in the QR tag at the battle field. The problem is to abstract the map information so that it can be stored in the small QR tag. We have abstracted path information on a vector basis and require only a small amount of data compared to imaged path information. We analyzed the amount of data generated by the abstraction and mathematically analyzed the boundary where the amount does not exceed the capacity limit of the QR tag. Our research can be applied not only to battlefields, but also to disaster / disaster scenes, or in environments with difficult Internet communications, such as mountainous areas.
