경전철용 연료전지 하이브리드 동력시스템 설계 및 제어 (Design and Control Strategy of Fuel Cell Hybrid Power System for Light Electric Railway Vehicles)

  • 지구 온난화를 경감 하기위한 차세대 동력시스템으로서 연료전지 동력시스템은 승용차를 중심으로 활발하게 개발되고 있다. 가선이 설치되어있지 않은 철로에서의 철도차량의 경우에 있어서도 연료전지 동력시스템의 적용이 선진 각국을 중심으로 연구개발 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가속, 타행주행 및 감속을 반복하여 주행하는 경전철에 대하여 연료전지 하이브리드 동력시스템을 적용하고자 할 때 이에 대한 설계 및 제어전략을 논하였고, Matlab/Simulink로 모델링하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

  • In the electric railway systems, it is very important that we should design the system configuration, location and power capacity of substation. This paper presents the results of system configuration and system design of the DC traction power supply for the test line of Light Rail Vehicle. The voltage fluctuation of train and the power capacity of substation are calculated by computer simulation using the nodal equation, K.C.L/K.V.L, Ohm's law and superposition theory.

  • The process of railway traffic planning is composed of several steps such as long-term, mid-term. short-term, and real-time plan. The planning of vehicle and manpower resources is a main research topic in tactical short-term planning step. Railway vehicle is usually consisted of a power car, passenger/freight cars and human resource is composed of engine driver, cabin crew, ground personnel. So far, power car was main research target in railway vehicle scheduling problem. Recently according as the light electric railway or high-speed railway is introduced, the operational planning of trainset vehicles become important, In this paper, we introduce the conceptional model for trainset restoring problem and developed heuristic algorithm.

전기철도용 대용량 PWM 컨버터 기술개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Technology Development of High Capacity PWM Converter for Electric Vehicle)

  • Recently, interest in environmentally friendly transportation systems has been increasing, and study on railway systems has been aggressively conducted. Therefore, lots of studies have been done in railway advanced countries to improve performance of PWM converter. The research on the PWM converter for railway vehicle was mainly carried out on the converter mounted on railway vehicle such as the high-speed railway and metropolitan railway. In also, a lot of study has been carried out to improve converter performance installed in the ground. The high-capacity transform used in this paper converted from AC 22.9kV to AC 590V. The converter changed from AC 590V to DC 950V. In general, in the case of rectifier, the DC power supply system has a negative impact on inverter control characteristics because it can not avoid the pulsating component. In this study, it was performed current control for high-capacity converter using Matlab Simulink. The PWM converter is normally performed through the voltage and current at starting mode, powering mode, and braking mode. In the light-load test and the on-line test, we have studied for the PWM converter characteristics. Using this research, we have founded that the converter has excellent performance.

  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is test method which finds the mechanical or natural or artificial defects of the interior or exterior of those without destructing materials and welded products. NDT is a means to assess the perfection of a component or system perfection. NOT images defects using scattered light, sound, electric current, magnetic fields and X-ray. Each NDT method has merits and demerits in the detecting ability of defects according to evaluated subjects. Defects can affect the serviceability of the material or structure, so NDT is important in guaranteeing safe operation as well as in quality control. In this review, we considered the methods of NDT applied to current railway vehicle manufacturing.

표준전동차 대차틀 피로강도평가(I) (Fatigue strength evaluation of a bogie frame for standard electric multiple unit(I).)

  • Nowadays, the vehicle structure weight of urban transit system has been reduced in order to save energy and materials. However, this light weighted vehicle structure is very important to verify the fatigue strength at the development stage. Bogie system consists of bogie frame, suspensions, wheel-sets, braking system and transmission system. Among these components, the bogie frame is most significant component subjected to the whole vehicle and passenger loads. In this study, the bogie frame for the standard EMU power car is evaluated to the static and fatigue strength. And, the evaluation method is used the JIS E4207 specification throughout the FEM analysis and static load test. The static and fatigue test results for the standard EMU bogie frame of power car has been appeared very safety and stable for the design load conditions.

  • In many countries such as Japan, France and so on, the number of double-deck trains has been dramatically increased for the purpose of public traffic. Several researchers have performed feasiblilty studies related to the operations of double deck rolling stock vehicles in Korea since 2001. In recent years, rolling stock vehicles are required to have light weight to save energy consumption and maintenance costs. For these reasons, the standard EMU vehicle developed by KRRI and Kwan-Ju EMU(Electric Multi Unit) are made of aluminum extruded panels. The concept model of a double-deck rolling stock vehicle investigated in this study is also designed to use AEP(Aluminum Extruded Panel). In this paper, the methods related to the structural strength improvements of the car body are proposed through careful modifications of thicknesses and shapes of AEP.

  • Recently metropolitan local governments is actively introducing urban railway's expand and light rail transit as a means of new transport system. DC electricity feeder system operating in the domestic urban railway is typically a feedback circuit consisted of the contact wire and electric railway vehicle via rail. But stray current is to be defined as a current flowing on a structure that is not part of the intended electrical circuit with respect to a given structure. Stray current is generally results from the leakage of return currents from large DC traction systems that are grounded or have a bad earth-insulated return path. At the place where the current leaves the rail and metallic structures, electrolytic corrosion may take place. This paper presents comparison analysis of field test methods based on criteria of electrolytic corrosion protection of buried metallic structures adjacent to DC traction systems.

  • A LRT(Light Rail Transit) is one of the Future Urban Railway Development Project. The project's goal is to reduce a transportation congestion in the center of the city. New transportation is intensely required in order to overcome a limit of the ground transportation that is the existing public transportation, A LRT(Light Rail Transit) construction project to be based on an unmanned driving system is the large composition system that a vehicle, a signal, communication, electric, track etc. were organically integrated as echo-friendly urban transportation systems. It also put a huge budget, which is a large-scale infrastructure projects. It is international trend that Light Rail Transit projects apply a technique in System Engineering for a schedule, cost, quality elevations, and to approach in viewpoints of life-cycle from initial construction steps to operation, abolition. This paper intends to analyze RAM requirements taking into consideration ISO/IEC 15288 throughout life-cycle from concept, design, manufacture, operation and maintenance to the final phase, decommissioning, and the study seeks to suggest directions of efficient use to domestic LRT projects.
