완전제어형 식물공장에서 광원, 광질에 따른 엽채류 6종의 생육반응 (Effects of Light Sources, Light Quality on the Growth Response of Leafy Vegetables in Closed-type Plant Factory System)

  • 식물공장은 외부 환경요인에 관계없이 효율적인 공간활용을 통해 작물의 생산성 및 경제성을 극대화시켜 생산할 수 있는 획기적인 기술이다. 본 연구은 엽채류 중만추대 열풍적치마상추, 만추대 청치마상추, 그린 로메인상추, 그린골 양상추, 개량사또 쑥갓과 영진 청경채를 대상으로 식물공장에서 실험하였다. LED 시스템을 이용하여 광원의 종류를 적색, 청색, 적색+청색, 적색+청색+백색, 적색+적외선 혼합광으로 구성하였다. 적색+청색 혼합광에서 적색과 청색의 조사기간 비율은 1 : 1, 2 : 1, 5 : 1, 10 : 1로 구성하였고, duty 비는 100%, 99%, 97%로 구성하였다. 광원의 종류에 따른 결과 로메인상추에서 지상부 건중량과 S/R 비는 R+B 혼합광에서 가장 높았고, 양상추의 지하부 건중량과 쑥갓의 S/R 비는 R+B+W 혼합광에서 높았지만, 나머지 종에서는 차이가 없었다. 적색과 청색의 조사기간 비율에 따른 결과 청치마상추, 양상추와 청경체는 지상부 건중량, 총 건중량, S/R비가 비교적 적색의 비율이 높은 조건 (5 : 1)에서 가장 높았다. duty 비에 따른 결과 R+B 혼합광에서 쑥갓은 100%와 99%, 로메인은 100%와 97%일 때 지상부와 지하부, 총 건중량이 높았다. S/R 비는 엽채류 6종 모두 duty 비가 낮은 97%에서 높게 나와 낮은 duty 비에서도 양호한 생육을 보였다. R+B+W 혼합광에서 청치마상추와 로메인상추 그리고 청경채는 duty 비는 낮은 97%에서도 비교적 높은 지상부 건중량 및 총 건중량을 보였다. 또한, 로메인 상추와 양상추의 S/R 비는 duty 비가 97%인 조건에서 가장 높았다. 따라서 LED 시스템을 이용한 식물공장에서 각 엽채류 별로 적절한 광원과 광질을 이용하면 외부 환경요인에 관계없이 안정적인 재배를 할 수 있을 것이다.

시변 변환 행렬을 이용한 시간에 안정된 RGB LED Backlighting 구동 전류 제어 (Driving Current Control for Time-Stable RGB LED Backlighting Using Time-Varying Transform Matrix)

  • 본 논문에서는 red, green, blue(RGB) 광학 센서를 이용하여 RGB light-emitting diode(LED) back light unit(BLU)의 출력색 자극의 변화를 점검하여 RGB LED BLU가 시간에 따라 일정한 목표 색 자극을 출력할 수 있도록 하는 RGB LED BLU 구동 전류 펄스 duty 값을 도출하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 우선, 현재 RGB LED BLU가 발하는 색 자극 정보를 획득하기 위해 RGB 광학 센서의 출력으로부터 CIEXYZ 색 자극을 계산할 수 있는 RGB to XYZ 변환 행렬을 도출한다. 다양한 RGB LED BLU 색 자극 샘플에 대한 RGB 광학 센서의 출력 값과 CIEXYZ 색 자극 값의 쌍을 이용하여 다항 회귀 방정식을 만들고 각 항의 계수로 행렬을 구성한다. 다음으로, 현재 RGB LED BLU 상태에서 목표 색 자극 값을 발할 수 있는 duty 값을 구하기 위해 목표 색 자극으로부터 duty 값을 계산할 수 있는 XYZ to Duty 변환 행렬을 도출한다. 현재, 한 단계 이전, 두 단계 이전 시점에서 RGB 광학 센서의 출력으로부터 추정한 CIEXYZ 값과 그때 인가된 duty 값의 쌍을 이용하여 다항 회귀 방정식을 만들고 각 항의 계수로 행렬을 구성한다. 일정 시간 간격으로 RGB LED BLU의 출력 색 자극을 점검할 때마다 XYZ to Duty 변환 행렬은 RGB LED BLU의 현재 상태에 적응적으로 변하게 되어 목표 색 자극을 출력할 수 있는 duty 값을 계산할 수 있게 된다.

Illumination Control in Visible Light Communication Using Manchester Code with Sync-Mark Signal

  • In this study, we employed Manchester code for illumination control and flicker prevention of the light-emitting diode (LED) used in a visible light communication (VLC) system. In the VLC transmitter, the duty factor of the Manchester code was utilized for illumination control; in the VLC receiver, the spike signal from an RC-high pass filter was utilized to recover the transmitted signal whilst suppressing the 120-Hz noise arising from adjacent lighting lamps. Instead of the clock being transmitted in a separate channel, a syncmark signal was transmitted in front of each data byte and used as the reference time for transforming the Manchester code to non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data in the receiver. In experiments, the LED illumination was controlled in the range of approximately 12-84% of the constant wave (CW) light via changing of the duty factor from 10% to 90%. This scheme is useful for constructing indoor wireless sensor networks using LED light that is flicker-free and presents capability for illumination control.

Design and implementation of optical identification system using visible light and infrared

  • In this study, an optical identification system was developed, wherein visible light is used to transmit the interrogating signal, and infrared is used to send the response signal. In the reader, visible light from a light emitting diode (LED) array was modulated via modified pulse width modulation for flicker-free illumination and dimming control. Moreover, the duty factor of the dimming control time was employed to control the illumination from the LED. In the transponder, the spike signal in the output of the high-pass filter was utilized to recover the interrogating signal while preventing interference from the 120-Hz noise from adjacent lighting lamps. The illumination was controlled in 26-86% range of the constant wave LED illumination by changing the duty factor from 20% to 90%. This configuration is advantageous for the construction of optical identification systems for automatic security check and car fare calculation at toll gates or parking facilities.

Euro6 소형 경유자동차의 실제 도로 주행 NOx 배출량 평가 (Estimating On-road NOx Emissions of Euro 6 Light-duty Diesel Vehicles)

  • To protect air pollution of urban area from motor vehicles, emission limits for diesel vehicles have been dramatically lowered in short period. But recent studies have shown that on-road NOx emissions of light-duty diesel vehicles are considerably higher than the values measured with laboratory test procedures used for emission certification. To tackle with this issue, Ministry of Environment have a plan to introduce EU RDE-LDV (Real-driving Emission-Light-duty Vehicle) regulation. In this study, 4 Euro 6 diesel vehicles have been tested with the new test procedures published by EU to estimate on-road NOx emissions using PEMS (Portable Emission Measurement System). The results have shown that the requirements of EU RDE-LDV could be met in driving condition of metropolitan area for constitution of test routes and validity of test results. In analysing with Moving Averaging Window method the completeness and normality of test data were validated with the requirement. On-road NOx emissions were quite deviated as test vehicles and higher than the new limit of on-road NOx emission enforced from Sept. 2017, which means that RDE-LDV can effectively reduce NOx emission of diesel vehicles in real driving conditions of Korea.

디젤기관의 성능과 배기관 특성에 의한 필터트랩의 열재생에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Thermal Regeneration of Filter Trap by Diesel Engine Performance and Characteristics of Exhaust Pipe)

  • The exhaust emissions from diesel vehicle are known to be harmful to human health and environment. Recently, one of the most environment problems is particulate matter. In this study, through the actual exper iment and heat transfer of exhaust pipe in light duty diesel engine equipped with the ceramic filter trap of throttling type, following results are obtained. 1. In case of light duty diesel engine equipped with ceramic filter trap of throttling type, Power and torque of engine were decreased about 5%, compared with the case without trap system. It means that was not so much effect on base engine performance.2. If the length of exhaust pipe when equipping with ceramic filter trap is suitably controlled, the range of regeneration will be expand much more.3. Particulate matter reduction efficiency of ceramic filter trap system was about 70%-80%, so it was proved a good system to reduce particulate matter.In experiment, test was conducted to estimate engine emission in 2,476cc light duty diesel engine which was equipped with ceramic filter trap.

소형디젤산화촉매의 배출가스 성능평가 (The evaluation of diesel emission reduction characteristics by DOC in light-duty vehicle)

  • In late 1997, the portion of registered light-duty diesel vehicle was 25.3% and its emission rate was 17.1% in Korea. Especially, diesel particulate matters(DPM) and NOx are hazardous air pollutants to human health and environment in urban area. The reduction technologies of exhaust emissions from diesel engines are improvement of engine combustion, fuel quality and development of diesel exhaust after treatment , In this study , a light-duty diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) that is one of the diesel exhaust after treatment was made for performance evaluation and the emission characteristics were tested on CVS-75 mode. And the analysis of the particle size distribution with scanning mobility particle 100, 67.6% and 66.7, 10.0% for Pt and Pt-V catalyst .And for Pt catalyst, the PM increased 7.8% because of increasing sulfate but Pt-V catalyst reduced the PM to 23.0% . Test results of particle size distribution showed that peak values of number and mass densities are respectively 100∼200nm their distribution trend independent of vehicle speed.

소형 경유 운행차의 매연여과장치 재생용 촉매연소기 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Catalytic Combustor for DPF Regeneration of In-use Light Duty Diesel Vehicles)

  • In-use light duty diesel vehicles are considered as one of major sources of particulate emissions in many cities, and the start of the retrofit program for the light duty diesel vehicles is expected in near future in Korea. One of the problems of the retrofit of the light duty diesel vehicles is that the exhaust gas temperature is too low to apply passive regeneration DPF systems. This study introduces a catalytic combustor as a new active DPF regeneration technology. This study shows the principle and characteristics of DPF regeneration by the catalytic combustor and suggests it's proper control method for better regeneration.

  • Recently, the trend of zero emissions has increased in automotive engineering because of environmental problems and regulations. Therefore, the development of battery electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid/plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs/PHEVs), and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) has been mainstreamed. In particular, for light-duty electric vehicles, improvement in electric motor performance is directly linked to driving range and driving performance. In this paper, using an improved design for the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), the EV driving range for the light-duty EV was extended. In the electromagnetic design process, a 2D finite element method (FEM) was used. Furthermore, to consider mechanical stress, ANSYS Workbench was adopted. To conduct a vehicle simulation, the vehicle was modeled to include an electric motor model, energy storage model, and regenerative braking. From these results, using the advanced vehicle simulator (ADVISOR) based on MATLAB Simulink, a vehicle simulation was performed, and the effects of the improved design were described.

광투과식 매연 측정법을 이용한 소형 디젤 차량의 무부하 급가속 조건에서의 매연 배출 특성 (Characteristics of Smoke Emissions from Light Duty Diesel Vehicles Using Light Extinction Smoke Measurement Method under free Acceleration Test Mode)

  • Characteristics of smoke emission in light duty diesel vehicles was investigated according to the year of production, engine displacement volume, and mileage. The smoke emission was measured using light extinction smoke measurement method under free acceleration test mode. Total number of the tested vehicles was 180. The year of production of the tested vehicles distributed from 2002 to 2007. The displacement volumes of the tested vehicles were categorized as 2-liter, 2.5-liter, 2.7-liter, and 3-liter. The mileage of the tested vehicles distributed from 20,000 km to 400,000 km. The more recent in the year of production of the tested vehicles did not show clearly lower in smoke emissions. Smoke emission showed different values according to driver's pedal pushing pattern. Also, smoke emission peak for each free acceleration test initially increased and reach a maximum of the peak values. Afterwards, the smoke peak gradually decreased as number of test increased. A new guide line was proposed to determine the smoke value from the light duty diesel vehicles based on smoke emission peak patterns which were obtained with several repeated free acceleration tests.
