This article discusses the possibilities and limitations of ICT education by reviewing the previous research on its various aspects including educational goals, contents, methods, and evaluation. First, when it comes to its educational goal, the prior studies suggest that ICT education aims to nurture digital citizenship among students and to enable them to participate in different sectors of our society. ICT education characterizes the core capacities of its future learners as 'lifelong learners,' 'information producers/consumers,' and 'local/global citizens.' Second, in regard to the educational content of ICT education, researchers investigate SW education importantly: They develop the educational programs and examine the effectiveness of those programs. However, to ensure the relevancy of the educational contents to the future society, institutional support is imperative including facilitating educators' capacities and synchronizing ICT education with subject education. Third, as the educational methods, various ICTs such as flipped learning and augmented reality (AR) are being applied to actual classroom teaching. Research on the educational methods, which is the most vibrant area in the ICT education scholarship, is expected to improve the previous educational methods and to lead the qualitative development of ICT education. Fourth, the previous discussion on the educational evaluation focuses on computer-based evaluations. Educational evaluation using ICT will enable educators to assess the characteristics and achievement of an individual learner accurately and to lead them to apply a teaching-learning process effectively, which will ultimately enhance the effectiveness of educational evaluation. Along with the overall review on the possibilities of ICT education, this article discusses the limitations of the current ICT education and its implications for educational inequalities.

As Korea enters into an aging society, the problem of information literacy against senior citizens is becoming a socioeconomic issue in Korea. Since most of the public libraries in Korea are already equipped with infrastructures for information dissemination, they may be able to solve this problem most effectively among public organizations. Recently, the intercultural approach, which aims to resolve social conflicts in multicultural societies through cultural encounters and dialogue, has been actively discussed. Intercultural education aims to foster smooth relationships and improve communication skills through interactions among various cultural groups. Analysis of previous studies has revealed the need for research on intercultural civic education programs targeted at adults. Therefore, this study was designed to develop an intercultural citizenship education program and to analyze its effects. For the study, previous research on interculturalism, intercultural citizenship education, and intercultural citizenship education programs was comprehensively analyzed. The developed intercultural citizenship education program was categorized into five major themes: understanding oneself and others, racism and hate speech, overcoming conflict and discrimination, breaking away from prejudice and stereotypes, and the future of our country. Subsequently, the program was implemented with 64 total second-year middle school students, 37 in the experimental group, and 27 in the control group, at an accredited lifelong educational institution in M City, South Jeolla Province. To analyze the effects of the education, an intercultural competency scale was used. The results showed that the intercultural citizenship education program for adult students was effective in conflict management, respect, communication, and reflection competencies, all at a statistically significant level. Finally, the authors compared the study results with previous research and discussed the findings. Findings indicated the necessity of enhancing multicultural citizenship awareness among adults and expanding teacher training in intercultural education. The program effectively improved intercultural competence among adult students, highlighting the importance of tailored educational content and active participation in discussions. Future research should ensure a balanced gender ratio among participants.

This study aims to search for education-related datasets provided by public data portals and examine what data types are constructed through classification using topic modeling methods. Regarding the data of the public data portal, 3,072 cases of file data in the education field were collected based on the classification system. Text mining analysis was performed using the LDA-based topic modeling method with stopword processing and data pre-processing for each dataset. Program information and student-supporting notifications were usually provided in the pre-classified dataset for education from the data portal. On the other hand, the characteristics of educational programs and supporting information for the disabled, parents, the elderly, and children through the perspective of lifelong education were generally indicated in the dataset collected by searching for education. The results of data analysis through this study show that providing sufficient educational information through the public data portal would be better to help the students' data science-based decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Multicultural education is not about learning about a specific ethnic group, but rather developing the ability to cross the border of one's own culture and have conversations with people of other cultures. I think the purpose is to promote empathy and consideration. This study emphasizes the importance of developing multi-dimensional educational programs for all members of society for multicultural social integration, and it is necessary to lead personal, social and civic action movements to create a fair society through media-based multicultural literacy education. said that In order to achieve harmony and integration in a multicultural society, it is the most important to acknowledge cultural diversity and to discard cultural prejudices and inequalities for symbiosis between the mainstream culture and the minority culture. In particular, the United States and Germany, which have successfully led multicultural social integration, are comprehensive in all areas, including interculturalism based on peaceful coexistence and respect, labor market issues, vocational education issues, housing and health issues, and communication issues through media literacy. He led a multicultural national integration system with approaches and methods. Therefore, our multicultural education policy should also pursue a new paradigm that presupposes a change in the public's awareness of a multicultural society.
Although the public health centers have been initiating health education recently, it is not extending as expected and the participation of the program is low. The reason is that the office workers have few opportunities to receive health education since there are few public health centers in relation to the population. Much time is required for travel and attendance of the classes. In order to solve this problem, the aim is to increase participation in health education, improve the overall public health awareness, expand the number of health education locations to reduce medical expenses, vitalize the lifelong educational health programs, and improve the national health insurance. In order to research about the health education expansion plan for public health improvement, a study focused on men and women above age 20 who need health education. The research sample was selected through random sampling that targeted people who participated in the health programs or the health education. The period of this survey was from September 1st to September 30th, 2014. A total of 509 participants completed the survey data for the actual analysis to propose the health education expansion plan for the public health improvement.
The university is a top-level educational institution that requires not only the education of undergraduate and graduate students but also the education of ordinary citizens in the community. However, in civil society, university education is mainly focused on lifelong education, and additional measures are needed for universities to implement more education about civil society. Since 2014, the Korea Research Foundation has implemented humanities city support projects, and universities have implemented programs such as humanities lectures, humanities experiences, and humanities week by utilizing local humanities assets. Although these projects are meaningful in that they are carried out through the medium of the area where the university is located, and the scope of participation is wider than that of previous academic projects related to humanities, because they are still carried out by one-off projects, a regional literature center should be established that can continue to conduct the projects even after completion. Furthermore, an efficient network should be established with the institutions in the area in which the university is located.
