제품 사용데이터를 활용한 제품 열화상태 평가 방안에 대한 연구 (A Method for Evaluating Product Degradation Status Using Product Usage Data)

  • In general, the product is used under several circumstances including environmental and usage conditions. According to the circumstances, the product has various performance degradation processes. In order to optimize the lifecycle of product usage, it is important to observe the degradation process and make suitable decisions on product operations. However, there are not much research works in evaluating the degree of product degradation based on product usage data. Recently, due to emerging ICT (Information and Communication Technology) technologies, it becomes possible to get the product usage data. Based on the gathered data, it is possible to analyze the degree of product degradation. The analysis of product usage data can improve product use and product design with advanced decisions. To this end, this study addresses one approach based on FMEA/FMECA method, called PDMCA (Performance, Degradation Modes and Criticality Analysis) for evaluating product degradation status and making suitable decisions.

원전 재료열화 평가프로그램 개발 (Development of Materials Degradation Evaluation Program for Nuclear Power Plants)

  • The renewed global interest in nuclear power has arisen from the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to provide sufficient electricity for a growing global population before the accident at Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant in Japan. In spite of the safety issues of nuclear power plants raised by the ongoing Japanese nuclear crisis, many countries with nuclear power plants (NPPs) are still implementing license extensions of 10~20 years, and even consideration is being given to the concept of life-beyond-60, a further period of license extension from 60 to 80 years. To solving the materials aging problem is integral to its success. To evaluate the plant aging phenomena, a lot of background information such as materials and environment of the parts of the reactor and plant systems is needed by the experts. Information on degradation mechanisms is also used. In this paper, a materials degradation evaluation program called OnMDE-SYS (On-line Materials Degradation Evaluation System) is introduced. The developed program provides a variety of information on the materials and stressors as well as operational experience to the experts. It is also anticipated that the experts can perform materials degradation assessment on the web directly by referring to domestic and international information about the degradation of a nuclear power plants through OnMDE-SYS.

불순물 입자의 유형에 따른 내접기어 펌프에서의 마모열화 특성 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Contaminant Types on the Wear Degradation Characteristics in Internal Gear Pumps)

  • The mechanical equipments which are exposed to impure environment undergo significant reductions in their own lifetimes. Several environmental test procedures have been developed to analyze these phenomena. Moreover in the industry to require shorter development duration, accelerated life testers artificially add test containments into machines. In this research JIS Z 8901 test powder was added into internal gear pumps which are used as oil pumps in vehicles and thus the effects of the addition on the degradation of the pumps were examined. Three kinds of contaminants were selected. Two of the contaminants are identical in particle size but different in the composition of the ingredients. The other pair have identical ingredients and composition but different particle size. The quantity of contaminants was also an interesting factor in this study. The results show that each JIS contaminant caused notable degradation in the discharge flow characteristic of pumps while friction torque degradation did not have any tendency. Finally leakage rates were deduced and equivalent wear volume ratios were calculated.

  • 가속열화시험은 가속수명시험시에 고장 개수가 적거나 심지어 고장이 발생하지 않는 경우에도 부품의 신뢰성을 평가할 수 있는 유용한 수단이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 능동소자로 높은 유전용량을 갖는 적층 세라믹 콘덴서(X7R -55$^{\circ}C$~1$25^{\circ}C$)에 대한 가속열화시험을 실시하고, 정격온도의 최대치에서 다른 배율의 전압을 인가하여 단순선형회귀에 의한 특성치의 경시변화를 설명한다고 가정하였다. 최소제곱법을 적용하여 시료가 대수정규분포를 따를 때의 열화량을 설명한 후, 특성치-시간간의 선형관계 및 대수정규분포의 독립성을 검정하여 가정의 적절성을 검정하였다. 마지막으로 아이링모델에 의한 평균수명을 평가하였다.

  • As the demand of internet networks using backbone communication systems recently increased, the researches on the high-speed wideband optical communication systems are required. For high-speed optical communication systems, asymmetric sampled grating distributed feedback laser diodes (DFB-LDs) are developed and the reliability of DFB-LDs is examined. The reliability of DFB-LDs is performed by monitoring I-V and L-I characteristics and two degradation phenomena related to the electrical characteristics of LDs are observed during the life tests. The first degradation phenomenon by increasing the reverse current is considered as a formation of leakage current path enough to prevent lasing operation in lateral blocking layer near active region of lasers. The second degradation phenomenon by decreasing the forward current is considered as activation of non-radiative Auger recombination process by thermal energy and the second degradation phenomenon is recovered after the off-test period at room temperature Eventually, evaluating the reliability of DFB LDs can allow us to improved the manufacturability in high-volume manufacturing.

  • Due to the high temperature and pressure, the materials of pipeline in power plant are degraded by creep damage. So far, many conventional measurement techniques such as replica method, electric resistance method, adn hardness test method for creep damage have been used. Among them, the replica method has mainly been used for the inspection of components. But this technique is restricted to the applications at the surface of the objects and cannot be used to material inside. In this paper, the measuring methods of evaluation by using ultrasonic attenuation and electric resistance for the creep detection of creep damage in the form of cavities on grain boundaries or intergranular microcracks were carried out. Absolute measuring method of quantitave ultrasonic attenuation technique for 1Cr0.5Mo material degradation was analyzed for determining the creep degradation steps using life prediction formula. As a result of measurement for creep specimens, we founded that the coefficient of utrasonic attenuation was increased as the increase of creep life fracton(${phi}c$) and the decreasing rate of wlwctric resistance was also increased.

전력용 변압기 경년열화와 관련된 DGA 대표가스에 관한 연구 (Representative Dissolved Gases indicating Aging of Power Transformers)

  • The life management technology becomes important as the failure risk of the aged power transformers increases. Asset management technology, therefore, has been developed to evaluate the remaining life and build replacement strategies of power transformers, which enables an optimal investment decisions based on reliability and economic feasibility. The remaining life assessment technology uses data related to such as installation, operation, maintenance, refurbishment, and disposed history of power transformers. The optimal investment decision additionally uses data related to failure and social costs. To develop the asset management technology in power transformers, it is important to find deterioration parameters directly indicating degradation of power transformers. In this study, 110,000 DGA data during the past 35 years have been analyzed in order to find the deterioration parameters related to the degradation of power transformers. The alarm rates of combustible gases ($H_2$, $C_2H_2$, $C_2H_4$, $CH_4$, $C_2H_6$), TCG CO, and $CO_2$ were analyzed as deterioration parameters. The origin of the gas was discussed in connection with discharge, overheating and insulation aging.
