Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the predictors of quality of life (QOL) for terminal cancer patients admitted into the community health center, and to establish a hypothetical model to explain and verify causative relationships among the variables. Methods: Data were collected from January 2015 to June 2016. Participants were 237 registered patients in Busan Metropolitan City hospice & palliative care center. The descriptive and correlation statistics were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 24.0, and the structural equation modeling procedure was performed using the AMOS 24.0 program. Results: The results of this study showed that the physical symptoms of terminal cancer patients were the most direct factors affecting the QOL, and satisfaction with health care services has a direct effect on the QOL. Conclusions: The study contributes to drawing up measures to improve QOL for terminally ill cancer patients who are living in the end-of-life section of the community by revealing the causal relationship to the QOL for terminal cancer patients.

Anti-theft safety caps for bolted joints are necessary to ensure the safety of citizens and prevent theft of manholes, bridge guardrails, bulletin boards, subway safety handrails and others. Safety caps enhance the look of bolted joints, avert accidents that involve hitting the head of bolts, hamper them from coming loose by covering the head of bolts. This study focuses on press die design methods and press molding condition setting to resolve bursting and cracks in products, and on molding material selection and heat treatment technologies to boost life extension.

This study examines the prati fashion style. prati fashion refers to a practical fashion, the most sought-after trend and newest fashion concept. This trend emerged as a response to the trio of minimalism, the recent economic downturn and the modern life style, and has led to powerful fashion lines and items. Therefore, this study is to understand and analyze the prati fashion style, with its focus on the 2010 modern fashion collection that embodied functional, economic, and minimal styles. First, the functional style realized by new materials provides comfort and allows multi-style changes. Second, the minimal style adds detailed changes to minimal silhouettes. Finally the economic style means easy to wear and easy to match items at affordable prices. The analyses stated above found that the prati fashion brought about a new paradigm to society, and influenced social, cultural and economic aspects of our daily life. It also helped find solutions to economic problems of this era. Drawing global attention, the prati fashion has functional, design and economic values, and thereby influences the shift of market paradigm.

Lycopene, which is a well-known red carotenoid pigment, has been drawing scientific interest because of its potential biological functions. The current study reports that lycopene acts as a bactericidal agent by inducing reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated DNA damage in Escherichia coli. Lycopene treatment elevated the level of ROS-in particular, hydroxyl radicals ($^*OH$)-which can damage DNA in E. coli. Lycopene-induced DNA damage in bacteria was confirmed and we also observed cell filamentation caused by cell division arrest, an indirect marker of the DNA damage repair system, in lycopene-treated E. coli. Increased RecA expression was observed, indicating activation of the DNA repair system (SOS response). To summarize, lycopene exerts its antibacterial effects by inducing $^*OH$-mediated DNA damage that cannot be ameliorated by the SOS response. Lycopene may be a clinically useful adjuvant for current antimicrobial therapies.

The objective of this paper is to introduce a project on developing construction method based estimation system. It means a 3D product model based estimation system to effectively and efficiently manage estimation process during the project life-cycle. This paper describes a outline and method for 3D based estimation system. Normally, it is not easy to take-off the quantity from 3D CAD model, because of all different depths of the quantity take off in each design development stage and nation. This study shows how to keep the balance of its depths in each design development stage such as schematic design, detail design, shop drawing, and so forth.

The abdominal drawing-in maneuver(ADIM), which is performed to strengthen the stabilization muscles of the lumbar, is an exercise method that selectively contracts the TrA and IO by increasing intra-abdominal pressure. In order to check the effect of ADIM in sitting position, which is the most frequently used posture in everyday life, on how to grip power, ADIM was conducted in a sitting position for 30 healthy adults, and then the state was not performed. In each, the grip power was measured to determine how ADIM performed in the sitting position had an effect on grip power and which muscles had the most influence. The muscles mobilized for the electromyography(EMG) measurement were RA, EO, IO/TrA, and ES, which were the most activation lumbar stabilization muscles when ADIM was applied. As a result of the study, the activity on muscles of the lumbar stabilization was significantly increased and the grip power of the muscles was significantly increased than the ADIM in the sitting position. By comparing the measured difference value of each muscle, it was found that any muscle had a greater effect on grip power, but no muscle showed a significant correlation. It is thought that the increase of intra-abdominal pressure did not affect the grip power of a specific muscle. Therefore, if ADIM is performed in a sitting position that is frequently used in everyday life through this study, it will be more effective in increasing the grip power and lumbar stabilization.

Salurnis marginella Guérin-Méneville, 1829 (Hemiptera: Flatidae) is an invasive species first reported in 2003 in Iksan, which is located in the mid-western region of South Korea, and subsequently found in the nearby regions in 2005. However, molecular-perspective reports on their invasive characteristics are not yet available. In this study, population genetic characteristics of Korean S. marginella were evaluated using the mitochondrial COI region and sequencing 124 individual samples collected in 11 Korean localities. A total of 12 haplotypes were identified with a maximum sequence divergence of 1.368% (9 bp). Haplotype diversity was relatively higher than that of other insect species invaded into Korea, providing 2-6 haplotypes per populations, indicating that introduction to Korea may have happened rather extensively and consistently. Nucleotide diversity (π) was the highest in Iksan but owing to the limited sample size (three individuals) from this locality, additional studies are required for drawing conclusive inference regarding the place of entry to Korea. Ulsan, the easternmost population in the present study, revealed nearly the lowest diversity estimates, such as the lowest H and the second-lowest π; a unique haplogroup with a higher frequency; and an independent genetic cluster, suggesting that the introduction of S. marginella to Ulsan was an independent event. Further collection in Korea and neighboring countries, including the original distributional range is necessary to elucidate the invasive dynamics of S. marginella

This study intended to enhance the quality of life of rural adolescents through survey 185 young people in YeonChun County, in the course of measuring the level of life of adolescents and finding several variables related with the level and drawing some applications for enhancement. As a result of this study we had some findings 1) the most young people were belonging to the second (vital feeling value) level and third (mental value) level 2) Sex, religion, tendency oriented to other person were three related variables with the level. The more the people having other-oriented tendency the higher the level of value. Female, Christian is higher in the level. 3) Many adolescents showed little hearty satisfaction concering their own life 4) The level of act in their real life were corresponded with the level of value 5) Characteristics of high value-level adolescents against low value-level ones were that they had high level of value-recognition, less family member. The hit ratio was 83.7 percent. On the basis of this study the following suggestions for the improvement of quality of life for youth in the rural area in the future. First, we should make a great effort in value education in order to clearly get the goal of the true life. The quality improvement such as the education of mental life and religion for the young people by developing programs to continously improve the value of life. Second, the necessity of behavior guiding other oriented tendency should be emphasized. We should connect adolescents with value recognition through more interest in actions. And third, it is necessary to make a professional effort for the improvement of level of value, that is, an in depth study of the theoretical systemization.

Background: Urban bus drivers work under conditions that are among the most demanding, stressful, and unhealthy with higher rates of mortality and morbidity as well as absenteeism and turnover. Methods: Drawing on the job demand-resource model, this study investigates the impacts of job characteristics on emotional exhaustion and the effects of emotional exhaustion on job outcomes (including job satisfaction, life satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention) in the context of bus drivers. Results: Using self-reported survey data collected from a sample of 320 Taiwanese urban bus drivers, results reveal that role overload and work-family conflict (as job demand factors) positively relate to emotional exhaustion, and organizational support (as a job resource factor) is negatively associated with emotional exhaustion. Emotional exhaustion has negative effects on both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Job satisfaction positively leads to life satisfaction, whereas organizational commitment negatively relates to turnover intention. Conclusion: This study concludes that role overload and work-family conflict as two stressors related to job demands and organizational support as the job resource factor to affect emotional exhaustion which further influence well-being in bus driver context. The moderating effects of both extraversion and neuroticism on the relationship between job demands and emotional exhaustion are evident.

Rapid informatization and technology advance in the 21st century has invited a new paradigm and changed many things in human life pattern. The impact of mobility seen in this digital nomadism has brought about, when it comes to clothing, a change in its unique meaning, that is, the graftage of high technology onto present nomad's life style who live moving around all the time due to the expansion of mobile environment. As the fruits of this expansion of mobile environment and technology advance in wireless telecommunication, easy-to-carry smaller sized devices such as cell phones, PDA, and MP3 players represent the present times, while the future would be an 'era of wearing' in which kinds of electronic devices and systems are integrated into clothing. Thus in this study, concept of wearable computer seen in the 21st century's digital nomadism was reviewed, and figurativeness and anesthetic value of wearable computer were discussed in association with the change in high style image resulted from technology advance and change of life style. By drawing a justice from which, value of future fashion was also prospected.
