Use of information technology in providing efficient library services is inevitable in today's information world. Its implementation causes many challenges for all the stake holders. This study is an attempt to identify challenges faced by university libraries of Pakistan in information technology adoption. To elucidate the research problem, a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods was used. Valid returned questionnaires (N=52) and recorded interviews of 51 LIS professionals with experience in library automation were analyzed to draw the results. The study determined that 'lack of training opportunities for LIS professionals' and 'lack of IT skills among the majority of LIS professionals' are major challenges to the adaptation of IT. Similarities were found in the results of this study and some previous studies conducted at national and international levels.

This paper aims to analyze the function of database management systems from the perspective of librarians working in engineering institutions in Andhra Pradesh. Ninety-eight librarians from one hundred thirty engineering institutions participated in the study. The paper reveals that training by computer suppliers and software packages are the significant mode of acquiring DBMS skills by librarians; three-fourths of the librarians are postgraduate degree holders. Most colleges use database applications for automation purposes and content value. Electrical problems and untrained staff seem to be major constraints faced by respondents for managing library databases.

A study on agricultural automation became more important. In Korea, sweet persimmon farmers spend a lot of time and effort on classifying profitable persimmons. In this paper, we propose and implement an efficient grading algorithm for persimmons before shipment. We gathered more than 1,750 images of persimmons, and the images were graded and labeled for classifications purpose. Our main algorithm is based on EfficientDet object detection model but we implemented more exquisite method for better classification performance. In order to improve the precision of classification, we adopted a machine learning algorithm, which was proposed by PyCaret machine learning workflow generation library. Finally we acquired an improved classification model with the accuracy score of 81%.

This paper describes an integrated environment for logic circuit simultion which is an important step of logic circuit design. The system consists of a logic simulator kernel, an expandible element routine library. a functional level element routine generator, several HDL input parsers, and a postprocessor. The system can simulate the same system in several levels of hierarchy. The experimental result shows that the system is very efficient and useful for design of logic circuits.

본 연구의 목적은 전문대학 문헌정보과 교과과정의 새 모형안을 개발하는데 있다. 개발하기 위한 이유로는 시대의 변화에 따라 도서관 업무도 변하고 그와 관련된 문헌정보과 교과과정도 변해야 할 필요성이 있으며, 전문대학 문헌정보과 교과과정은 이론보다 실무연습이 강조되어야 할 필요성이 있기 때문이다. 새로운 교과과정을 개발하기 위한 방안으로 첫째, 도서관 현장에서 요구되는 새로운 지식을 파악하기 위해 문헌조사 및 도서관 현직사서와의 면담을 통하여 준사서의 업무를 파악하고 둘째로 문헌정보과 교수, 도서관 관리책임자 및 도서관 현직 준사서들에게 설문지를 배포하여 의견을 수렴함으로서 전문대학 문헌정보과 교과과정에 새롭게 포함되어야 할 교과목을 선정하였다. 설문지 문항은 총30개로 전문대학 문헌정보과 교과과정에 관련된 일반적인 사항과 시대적인 변화에 따른 준사서의 업무 및 준사서의 일상적인 업무들로 구분되었다. 5단계 리커트 척도를 사용하여 측정하고 조사결과는 SAS(Statistical Analysis System)를 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석한 연구결과는 첫째, 문헌조사 및 현직사서와의 면담을 통하여 얻어진 준사서의 업무가 전산화 이전의 전통적인 도서관 업무와 전산화 이후의 자동화된 도서관 업무로 구분되어서 앞으로의 도서관 업무는 전자도서관 형태로 변모되어질 것을 예고하여주고 있으며 둘째, 설문지를 통한 분석결과로서, 준사서의 일상적인 업무들에 관련된 설문들에서는 도서관실습 교과목이 으뜸(4.19)을 나타내는 것은 전문대학 문헌정보과 교과과정은 실습위주로 구성되어야 함을 나타내며 준사서는 실습위주로 교육해야함을 타나낸 것이다. 교과과정에서 교과목의 변천은 급진적이 아니라 점진적이라는 것과 새로운 교과과정에 포함되어야 할 교과목들은 전자도서관실습, 정보시스템(론), 데이터베이스(론), 정보네트워크실습 등으로 정보시스템 영역이 강조되어야 한다.

본 논문에서는 재사용가능한 소프트웨어 부품의 분류 과정을 자동화하여, 소프트 웨어 부품 라이브러리에 구조적으로 저장하는 방안을 제안한다. 효율적이고 자동화 된 소프트웨어 부품의 분류를 위하여 자연어로 기술된 소프트웨어 부품 설명서로부터 의미 정보와 문장 구성 정보 등의 특징을 획득하여 소프트웨어 부품의 특성을 표현하 는 패싯을 결정하고각각의 패싯에 해당하는 항목들을 자동으로 추출하여 소프트웨어 부품 식별자를 구성하였다. 그리고 분류된 소프트웨어 부품들 사이의 의미 유사도를 측정하여 비슷한 특성을 갖는 소프트웨어 부품들을 인접한 장소에 저장시켜 구조화된 소프트웨어 부품 라이브러리를 구축하였다. 제안한 방법은 소프트웨어 부품의 분류 과정이 간단하고, 유사한 소프트웨어 부품을 쉽게 식별할 수 있었으며, 또한 소프트 웨어 부품을 라이브러리에 구조적으로 저장할 수 있다.

This study examined the awareness and use of cloud computing services by librarians in selected universities in Edo State. A descriptive survey research design was employed and the instrument used was questionnaire. The population of the study was 132 professional and Para-professional librarians. The total enumeration technique was used to select the entire population because the size was manageable. Simple percentage, frequency count, and mean were used to analyze the data collected. From the analysis of data gathered, it was found that the librarians are aware of the use of OCLC, world cat, and Google docs to a very high extent. It was found that the librarians used cloud computing services and technologies for collection development functions and cataloging. Based on the findings it was recommended that management of the libraries should support librarians by providing adequate funding to the library in order to support the acquisition and maintenance of infrastructure for cloud computing.

오늘날의 도서관은 거의 모든 업무가 자동화 시스템을 중심으로 이루어지는데, 특히 대학도서관은 연구와 학습을 지원하기 위하여 자동화 수준을 높이고 있다. 자동화 시스템을 구성하는 H/W와 S/W에 관련한 전산업무를 수행하는 시스템 라이브러리언은 도서관이 자동화되면서 사서의 전문분야로 새로 생긴 직명이다. 본 연구는 대학도서관 시스템 라이브러리언의 작업성과를 높이는 요인을 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 작업성과는 작업의 질과 양, 개인의 정서적 반응을 의미하며, 개인의 정서적 반응은 작업을 수행한 결과 느끼는 전반적 직무만족, 내적 작업동기 그리고 개인의 성장만족이 포함된다. 연구방법으로는 요인을 직무특성, 조직특성, 개인특성 별로 독립변인으로 작업성과 요소를 종속변인으로 선정하였다. 가설을 설정하고, 질문지를 통하여 입수된 자료를 SPSS for Windows통계 팩키지로 분석하여 이를 검증하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 연속간행물 기사 DB 구축을 위한 서지데이터요소의 표준화방안을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 국내외의 대표적인 서지DB(10개기관)의 데이터요소를 대비 분석한 바 각각의 기술항목의 명칭이 다른 점이 많고, 기술항목의 기술순서와 기술의 상세도에 있어서도 상당히 상이하다. 그리하여 ISO 690의 서지기술요소를 분석하여 이를 데이터베이스에 적용할 수 있는지의 여부를 면밀히 분석한 결과, 이는 서지 DB의 데이터요소에 있어서도 기본적인 모델이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 ISO 690의 서지기술을 위한 10가지 요소를 기본적인 골격으로 하고, 국내외의 대표적인 서지DB의 연속간행물 기사에 대한 데이터요소를 비교 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 기타의 필요 적절한 데이터요소 7가지를 선별해서 추가하고 이들 17가지 요소들을 합리적으로 정렬하여 바람직한 표준안을 도출하였다.
