본 연구는 "한국비블리아학회지"에 발표한 논문들의 계량서지적 특징과 연구패턴, 연구영역을 규명하고 문헌정보학분야의 또 다른 학술지인 "한국문헌정보학회지"와 "정보관리학회지"의 논문들과 비교함으로써 "한국비블리아학회지"의 학술적 특징과 최근 동향을 파악하는 데 그 목적을 가진다. 이를 위해 2010에서 2014년까지 5년간 발행된 "한국비블리아학회지"에 게재된 논문 300편, "한국문헌정보학회지"의 344편 그리고 "정보관리학회지"의 283편, 총 927편을 대상으로 계량서지학적 분석, 연구주제 및 연구방법 분석, 저자키워드 분석, 그리고 지적구조 분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 계량서지학적 분석에서는 "한국비블리아학회지"와 다른 학회지와 별 다른 차이점을 발견하지 못했다. 다른 학회지와는 다르게 "한국비블리아학회지"에서 가장 많이 연구되는 주제는 정보서비스였고 그 다음은 도서관경영과 독서교육이었으며 서베이 방법과 사례연구를 주로 사용하였음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 지적구조 분석을 통하여 '공공도서관과 독서 영역', '대학도서관과 장서관리 영역', '학교도서관과 정보활용 영역'이 "한국비블리아학회지"의 최근 핵심연구 영역임을 알 수 있었다.

Exploring research similarity of researchers offers insight on research communities and potential interactions among scholars. While co-authorship is a popular measure for studying research similarity of researchers, it cannot provide insight on authors who have not collaborated yet. In this work, we present novel approach to capture research similarity of authors using citation information. Extensive study is conducted on DATA & KNOWLEDGE ENGINEERING (DKE) publications to demonstrate and compare suggested approach with co-authorship based approach. Analysis result shows that proposed approach distinguishes author relationships that is not shown in co-authorship network.

본 연구는 국내 문헌정보학 분야의 연구동향을 규명하기 위하여 문헌정보학 주요 학술지인, 정보관리학회지, 한국문헌정보학회지, 한국도서관 정보학회지, 한국비블리아학회지의 1970년도부터 2012년도까지 발표 논문 초록을 수집하여 LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation)기반의 토픽 모델링 실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 토픽모델링 실험에서 도출된 연구주제를 문헌정보학 주제분류표와 비교 분석한 결과, '정보학'영역의 디지털도서관, 이용연구, 인터넷, 전문가시스템, 계량정보학, 자동화, 정보검색, 정보시스템, '도서관 서비스'영역의 정보서비스, 도서관 유형별 서비스, 이용자 교육/정보리터러시, 서비스 평가, '문헌정보학 기초'영역의 도서관과 사회, 전문성, '자료조직'영역의 분류, 편목, 메타데이터, '도서관 경영'영역의 도서관 평가, 장서개발/관리, '서지학'영역의 고서지, '도서관 체제'영역의 도서관 및 정보정책, '출판'영역의 도서/출판, '기록관리학'영역의 하위주제 등과 연결할 수 있었다. 또한 가장 많은 연구주제가 발견된 학문영역은 정보학과 도서관서비스로 나타났다. 둘째, 문헌정보학의 주요 연구주제에서 도서관 유형별 서비스 및 평가, 인터넷, 메타데이터의 연구주제는 상승세를 보였으나, 도서, 분류, 편목, 고서지에 관한 연구주제는 하강세를 보였다. 셋째, 학술지를 구분하여 비교 분석한 결과, 정보관리학회지는 도서관에 관한 연구주제보다 정보학에 관한 연구주제가 많이 출현하였고, 한국문헌정보학회지와 한국도서관 정보학회지, 한국비블리아학회지는 도서관에 관한 연구주제가 정보학에 관한 주제보다 많이 나타났다.

This papepr analyzes the causes of the crisis of Library and Information Science and proposes an management program of LIS. To overcome this crisis, the author made an management program by solidifying LIS as a science and enlarging research fields. To solidify LIS as a science, it can be helpful to translate classical literature on LIS into Korean for universality, and to base our own history and culture for individuality. Enlarging research fields of LIS will help to enrich theories and to develop new jobs. She suggests archives, local studies collection, preservation and literature on North Korea as additional research fields by example.

이 연구는 우리나라 문헌정보학분야 독서 연구의 경향을 분석하고 연구의 발전적인 방향을 모색하기 위해 한국문헌정보학회지, 한국도서관 정보학회지, 한국비블리아학회지에 창간호부터 2012년까지 게재된 학술논문 191편을 분석하였다. 학회지, 연도, 연구자, 연구비, 주제, 연구방법 등을 기준으로 논문 현황을 분석하였고 연구에서 나타나는 내용과 방법론을 중심으로 개선과제를 살펴보았다. 연구 논문 분석을 토대로 독서 연구의 발전을 위한 과제로 독서론 연구의 확대, 사회적 독서 이슈에 대한 연구 주도성 강화, 연구 방법론의 적실성 제고 등을 제안하였다.

본 연구에서는 우리나라 문헌정보학 논문들에 대한 평가내용들을 제시하고 과학적 연구와 질적 연구, 비실증적 연구 등에 관하여 논의하였다. 현재의 논문생산시스템을 제도적으로 보완하기 위해서는 개관적 연구분야의 활성화가 필요하다. 향후 이 분야의 활성화를 위하여 학회차원이나 학술진흥재단 차원에서 노력할 수 있을 것이다. 예컨대 Annual Review of Information Science and Technology와 유사한 학술지를 연간으로 발행할 수도 있고 기존학회지에 개관논문들을 게재하도록 장려할 수 있을 것이다. 각 분야의 권위자들이 한국의 도서관계에 도움을 줄 수 있는 연구내용을 정리하고 향후의 연구방향을 제시하면 그 파급효과는 상당히 클 것으로 예상된다.

기록 보존학은 광의의 의미에서 기록보존자료를 수집, 보존 및 활용이라는 측면에서 문헌정보학의 기본 개념과 유사하다. 역사학계나 행정학계에서도 나름대로 이론적, 논리적 근거를 가지고 기록보존학을 자기 학문영역에 흡수하려고 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이러한 현실에도 불구하고 문헌정보학계에서는 기록보존학에 관한 연구와 관심이 상대적으로 부족하고, 또한 이 학문에 대한 배타적 시각으로 바라보는 경향마저 있다. 본 연구는 도서관과 기록보존소에서 일반적으로 수행되는 각각의 업무와 특성을 상호 비교, 분석함으로써 이들 업무간의 공통점과 차이점을 도출하여 두 학문간의 접목 가능성을 살펴보는데 있다.

The goal of this study is to improve the competitiveness of professional librarians in society. To this end, we analyzed domestic and international LIS curriculum, determined demand from field librarians through a survey, carried out job analysis by library types, and developed an operating model for LIS curriculum by synthesizing all of these results. Finally, we suggested a course of study for civil service librarians based on this model. As a result, the six required courses for civil service librarians are: Introduction to Library and Information Science, Information Organization, Information Services (Reference and Information Services), Library Management, Information Retrieval, and Field Work. The four core courses for the civil service concentration are: Collection Development, Information Sources by Subjects, Public Library Management, and Digital Libraries. Suggested electives best suited to this career path include Using Web Resources, Information Literacy, Information Services in Culturally Diverse Communities, Library Marketing, Libraries and Cultural Programs, Reading Guidance, Library History, Small Library Management, Studies in Library Buildings, Library Cooperation, Managing Digital Collections, and Information and Communication in a Digital Age.

This paper aims to implement a topic modeling technique for extracting the topics of online discussions among library professionals in India. Topic modeling is the established text mining technique popularly used for modeling text data from Twitter, Facebook, Yelp, and other social media platforms. The present study modeled the online discussions of Library and Information Science (LIS) professionals posted on Lis Links. The text data of these posts was extracted using a program written in R using the package "rvest." The data was pre-processed to remove blank posts, posts having text in non-English fonts, punctuation, URLs, emails, etc. Topic modeling with the Latent Dirichlet Allocation algorithm was applied to the pre-processed corpus to identify each topic associated with the posts. The frequency analysis of the occurrence of words in the text corpus was calculated. The results found that the most frequent words included: library, information, university, librarian, book, professional, science, research, paper, question, answer, and management. This shows that the LIS professionals actively discussed exams, research, and library operations on the forum of Lis Links. The study categorized the online discussions on Lis Links into ten topics, i.e. "LIS Recruitment," "LIS Issues," "Other Discussion," "LIS Education," "LIS Research," "LIS Exams," "General Information related to Library," "LIS Admission," "Library and Professional Activities," and "Information Communication Technology (ICT)." It was found that the majority of the posts belonged to "LIS Exam," followed by "Other Discussions" and "General Information related to the Library."

오늘날의 의학도서관은 진료, 연구, 의료업무 등과 관련된 정보를 제공하는 전문도서관으로서 보다 합리적이고 효율적인 개념을 바탕으로 하는 경영이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 의학도서관의 경영에 대한 이론적 배경을 살펴본 뒤, 서울시에 소재한 의학도서관을 대상으로 직접방문과 웹페이지 그리고 통계자료를 통하여 의학도서관의 경영자원에 관한 운영실태를 비교 분석하고, 그 분석의 결과를 바탕으로 효과적이고 효율적인 운영을 위한 방향을 제시함으로써 의학도서관 나아가 도서관경영 일반의 합리화에 기틀들 마련하고자 하였다.
