Noncondensable gas's influence in waster vapor absorption accompanying interfacial disturbance into aqueous solution of LiBr

  • 흡수식 열펌프에서 폭 넓게 사용되고 있는 대표적인 냉매/흡수용액은 $H_2O$ / LiBr 계이다 그러나, LiBr 수용액의 점성계수는 LiBr의 농도가 커짐에 따라 증가하기 때문에, LiBr수용액의 농용액 영역에서 물질확산계수가 감소한다. 이 결점을 보완하기 위해 흡수용액에 계면활성제를 첨가시키므로서 흡수를 촉진시키는 방식을 이용하고 있다. 계면활성제의 첨가에 의한 흡수용액의 열 및 물질이동 촉진에 관한 연구는 계면활성제 첨가농도에 의해 흡수용액의 표면상에서 게면활성제가 액적으로 존재하는 계면활성제 포화용해도 이상의 조건에서 발생하는 마랑고니대류가 효과적이다. 이 흡수촉진효과는 냉매증기의 흡수시 흡수용액표면상의 분포한 계면활성제와 흡수용액사이의 표면장력차에 기인하는 계면교한 현상에 기인한다. 그러나, 이흡수촉지효과는 냉매증기의 흡수가 일어나는 흡수기 내부의 不안정상태, 즉, 불응축성가스(공기)가 존재하지 않는 조건하에서 이루어지며, 불응축성가스가 흡수촉진저하(열 및 물질이동의 저하)에 기인하는 연구는 보고된 바 없다. 이러한 불응축성가스가 흡수기 내부에 존재할 때 계면교한의 거동 및 열 및 물질이동저하현상을 파악하기 위하여 계면활성제 농도변화(포화용해도 이상 및 이하의 두 조건)에 따른 증기흡수 실험 및 계면교한가시화 실험을 행하였다. 결과적으로 본실험을 통하여 불응축성가스가 수증기흡수에 끼치는 영향을 파악(계면교란의 악화) 첨가시의 흡수량과 不安定상태(불응축성가스가 존재시)의 증기흡수량의 비교에 의해 급격한 증기흡수저하가 不安定상태하에서 발생함으로서 불응축성가스가 흡수촉진효과(계면교한현상)을 저해시키는 결론을 얻었다.es and facts obtained by the expenence in this area, respectively. The Effects of Ambient Ions on the Growth of Gold Nanoparticles by Laser Ablation in Liquid

  • Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were synthesized by laser (Nd:YAG, ${\lambda}$ = 1064 nm) ablation of a gold target immersed in various aqueous electrolyte solutions (7 mM of LiCl, NaCl, KCl, NaBr, and NaI) as well as in deionized water. The surface plasmon absorption and EDX of AuNPs so produced as well as their TEM images were analyzed to investigate the effects of ambient ions on the growth and aggregation of NPs. The size of AuNPs was reduced by laser ablation in the presence of chloride and bromide ions while it increased drastically when AuNPs were formed in iodide solution. Interestingly, triangular nanoplates were synthesized only in iodide solution. Surface chemistry on AuNPs in various electrolyte solutions was explored to elucidate the role of ions on the size and stability of AuNPs.

수평관군 흡수기의 전열촉진에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental investigation of heat transfer enhancement in horizontal bundle tubes on absorber)

  • This research was concerned with the enhancement of heat transfer by surfactant added to the aqueous solution of LiBr. Different horizontal tubes were tested with and without an additive of normal octyl alcohol. The test tubes were a bare tube, floral tube, hydrophilic tube. The additive concentration was about $0.05{\sim}5.5mass%$. The heat transfer coefficient was measured as a function of solution flow rate in the range of $0.01{\sim}0.034 kg/ms$. The experimental result were compared with cases without surfactant. The enhancement of heat transfer by Marangoni convection effect which was generated by addition of the surfactant is observed in each test tube.

Plastein反應에 의한 絹피브로인의 分子量變化 (Changes of Silk Fibroin Molecular Weight by Plastein Reaction)

  • Changes of silk fibroin molecular weight was studied by enzymatic proteolysis and reverse reaction of enzymatic proteolysis (plastein reaction) using chromatography, X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis methods. When the treatment of enzymatic proteolysis with $\alpha$-chymotripsin to silk fibroin solution, a precipitate of Fcp fractions was formed. And, this was dissolved in LiBr aqueous solution, the precipitate of PIFcp fractions was obtained again. Fcp and PIFcp fractions showed silk IIand silk Itype structure, respectively. Fcp fractions was about 6,900 in molecular weight, PIFcp fractions obtained by plastein reaction on the precipitate of Fcp fractions increased molecular weight to abort 15,000. The molecular weight of Fcp fractions was increased by plastein reaction, but Fcp fractions almost transited to silk I type crystal. The structure of silk I type of PIFcp fractions was steady identified by X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis. As molecular weight of Fcp fractions was gradually low, PIFcp fractions was become to macromolecule little by little.

  • The effect of tube diameter on heat transfer characteristics of absorber in absorption chiller/heater using LiBr solution as a working fluid has been investigated by experimental study to develop a high performance and compact absorber. A system Includes a tube absorber, a generator, solution distribution system and cooling water system was set up. The diameter of the heat exchanger tube inside absorber was changed from 15.88mm to 12.7mm and 9.52mm. The experimental results show that the heat transfer coefficient, Nusselt number and heat flux increase as solution flow rate and cooling water flow rate increase. The heat transfer performance increases as tube diameter decreases. Among three different tube diameters, the smallest tube diameter 9.52mm has highest heat transfer performance. A comparison of the heat transfer coefficient obtained by the present study with those of previous experimental results showed good overall agreement.

  • In most absorption machines, absorption enhancement has been achieved by adding small amount of surfactant additive, which introduced the surface tension difference between absorbent and surfactant droplets in the vapor absorption. The aim of this study is to understand a basic mechanism of Marangoni convection and its effectiveness in the vapor absorption enhancement. In this study, nonflowing aqueous solution of LiBr 60 mass% was exposed to saturated water vapor under the condition that two dropwises surfactant were fixed on the absorbent surface. Our experiments achieved to visualize the enhanced heat and mass transfer phenomena by the effect of Marangoni convection through the laser holographic interferometry. Also, Marangoni convection behavior was obtained by using tracer method.

공냉식 수직 흡수기의 열전달에 미치는 계면활성제의 영향 (Influence of surfactant on heat transfer of air-cooled vertical absorber)

  • This research was concerned with the enhancement of heat transfer by surfactant added to the aqueous solution of LiBr. Different vertical tubes were tested with and without an additive of normal octyl alcohol. The test tubes were a bare inner surface, groove inner surface, corrugated inner surface and spring inserted inner surface tubes. The additive concentration was about 0.08 mass%. The heat transfer coefficient was measured as a function of film Reynolds number in the range of 20~200. Experiments were tarried out at higher cooling water temperature of $35^{\circ}C$ to simulate an air cooling condition for several kinds of absorber testing tubes. The experimental results were compared with cases without surfactant. The enhancement of heat transfer by Marangoni convection effect which was generated by addition of the surfactant is observed in each test tube. Especially, it is clarified that the tube with an inserted spring has the highest enhancement effect.

The additive mass concentration was about 0.05${\sim}$5.5%. The heat transfer coefficient was measured as a function of solution flow rate for the range of 0.01${\sim}$0.034 kg/ms. The experimental results were compared with cases without surfactant. The enhancement of heat transfer by Marangoni convection effect generated by the addition of the surfactant is observed in each test tube. The increase of heat transfer coefficient by surfactant addition is about 35${\sim}$90% for bare tube, 40${\sim}$70% for the floral tube, 30${\sim}$50% for the hydrophilic tube and was higher for the cases with smaller a little solution flow rates.

Silk Fibroin 막에 관한 연구(I) -Silk Fibroin막의 구조특성- (Studies on Silk Fibroin Membranes(I) -Structure of Silk Fibroin Membranes and Their properties-)

  • Silk fibroin was dissolved in 9.3 M LiBr aqueous solution at 4$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. The dissolved silk fibroin was regenerated by casting the dialyzed solution into the membrane. The freshly prepared silk fibroin membrane was soluble in water and was. mainly consisted of random coil conformation. By the treatments in saturated water vapor at 3$0^{\circ}C$ and in 75% ethanolic aqueous solution (V/V), the insoluble membranes were obtained and the structure and morphology of those were investigated for the structure by means of X-ray diffraction analysis, infrared spectroscopy, thermal analysis. Rheovibron and scanning electron micrograph. Silk II type crystals were obtained by treating amorphous silk fibroin membrane in the random coil conformtion with 75% ethanol solution(V/V). Crystallization to silk II type crystals occured even after a few minutes, and a large number of silk II type crystals were formed after 30 mins. On the other and, the membrane treated in saturated water vapor was composed of the mixtures of silk I and silk II type crystals. A large number of silk I and silk II type crystals were formed after 24 hours. The micro brownian motion in the amorphous regions of silk fibroin membrane started at about 175~185$^{\circ}C$. $\alpha$ dispersion appeared at about 20$0^{\circ}C$ in the amorphous membrane, and at about 22$0^{\circ}C$ in the crystalline membrane. The crystallization of random coil conformation to silkII type crystals occured at about 215$^{\circ}C$. The surface, bottom and cross-section of the membranes were observed by scanning electrom microscope. Fine forms alike spherulites appeared at the surface of crystalline membrane.

수직관내 리튬브로마이드 수용액막의 흡수과정에 대한 비흡수가스의 영향 (Effects of Non-Absorbable Gases on the Absorption Process of Aqueous LiBr Solution Film in a Vertical Tube (I))

  • Among the heat/mass exchange units composing an absorption system, the absorber, where the refrigerant vapor is absorbed into the liquid solution is the one least understood. In the present study, the effects of non-absorbable gas on the absorption process of aqueous lithium bromide solution falling film inside a vertical tube were experimentally investigated. In the range of film Reynolds number of 30 ~ 195, heat and mass transfer characteristics were investigated as a function of non-absorbable gas volumetric concentration, 0.2 ~ 20%. An increase of non-absorbable gas volumetric concentration degraded the mass transfer rate dramatically in the absorption process. The reduction of mass transfer rate was significant for the addition of small amount of non-absorbable gas to the pure vapor. At film Reynolds number of 130, an increase of non-absorbable gas concentration from 0.2 to 6.0% resulted in the decrease of mass transfer rate by 36% and 20% of non-absorbable gas by 59%. However the decrease of film Nusselt number with the increase of volumetric concentration of non absorbable gas was relatively smaller than the decrease of Sherwood number. Critical film Reynolds number was identified to exist for the maximum heat and mass transfer regardless of the volumetric concentration of non-absorbable gases.
