  • Parabrachiella trichiuri (Yamaguti, 1939), a copepod parasitic on the ribbonfish Trichiurus lepturus (Linnaeus, 1758), is recorded as a new record of Korean fauna. The copepod is the only known species of the family Lernaeopodidae parasitic on T. lepturus. Parabrachiella trichiuri can be differentiated from its congeners by a combination of characters: the trunk is pyriform, with two pairs of processes, the maxilla is less than half as long as the cephalothorax, and the genital process is not protruding from the margin of the trunk. This species had been assigned to different genera, such as Clavellopsis Wilson, 1915, Isobranchia Heegaard, 1947, and Neobrachiella Kabata, 1979.

  • Parabrachiella bera (Yamaguti, 1939) is redescribed based on newly collected material from multicolorfin rainbowfish, Parajulis poecilopterus, landed at Wando fishery port on the southern coast of Korea. Although some differences were observed between the original description and the specimens examined in this study, these differences do not warrant a change in the taxonomic status of this species. Parabrachiella bera bears some resemblance to Parabrachiella incurva Shiino, 1956, but differs from it in details of the trunk and genital processes.

  • Two species of the copepod parasite were observed from two marine fishes in Korea. A siphonostomatoid copepod Neobrachiella incurva (Shiino, 1956) (Lernaeopodidae) and a cyclopoid copepod Peniculus ostraciontis Yamaguti 1939 (Lernaeidae) were found on the gills of Halichoeres poecilopterus and the fins of Sebastes schlegeli, respectively. The most distinct features of N. incurva are bipartite of maxillule, 2 ventro-posterior processes and conical genital process. P. ostraciontis is very distinguishable in the body shape, antenna, and fused trunk. Both species of copepods are newly observed from the Korean waters.

  • Two parasitic copepods, poecilostomatoid Colobomatus mylionus Fukui, 1965 and siphonostomatoid Clavellisa chinensis ($Y{\ddot{u}}$, 1933), were reported for the first time from Korea and redescribed based on the females collected from the marine fish of Korean waters. The C. mylionus was collected from the blackhead seabream, Acanthopagrus schelegelii(Bleeker). Colobomatus mylionus had been frequently reorded from marine teleost fishes from of Eden, Newcastle, Brisbane, Yelloon, and Point Sampson. The second record was C. chinensis redescribed based on the speciemens collected from the gills of a Japanese grenadier anchovy, Coilia nasus Temminck and Schlegel. Some differences were observed between the orginal description of known specimens examined in this study, these differences do not warrant a change in the taxonomic staus of the two species. The attachment site of all two copepods reported from Korea were the cephalic sensory canals and gills.

  • 기생성 요각류 2종, Clavellopsis hugu(Lernaeopodidae; Siphonostomatoida)와 Taeniacanthus yamagutii(Taeniacanthidae; Poecilostomatoida)이 한국산 양식 황복의 구강, 코, 표피 등에 기생하고 있음을 국내에서 처음으로 보고하며, 아울러 이종의 형태학적 특징을 상세히 기술하였다.
