In this paper, a cycler system for the Lithium-Polymer battery with the large capacity of 120Ah is presented. This system is constituted as the two units for the charging and discharging. The Lithium-Polymer battery should be charged in CC and CV mode, and it is required a very high precision control of the voltage and current for the charging unit. To decrease the switching noises and harmonics, parallel operation method is adopted and utilized in the power conversion module. The discharging unit has a link AC system function to return the discharging energy of battery to AC line and has comparatively less thermal loss. These units are designed to be controlled and monitored by personal computer. The total system for the battery charging and discharging is described and presented.

Macrophages have been known to play an essential role in tumor angiogenesis and produce a number of growth stimulators and inhibitors. Thus macrophages appear to influence every stage of angiogenesis. In this report, TNF-$\alpha$ was able to induce the production of IFN-${\gamma}$ in cancer cell-contanted macrophage. TNF-${\gamma}$ alone released relatively little IFN-${\gamma}$ whereas live tumor cells (3LL) alone releasd IFN-${\gamma}$ markedly from macrophage. (omitted)

We have studied 73 pre-service science teachers' conceptions about the nature of science (NOS) using 120 true-false test items based on AAAS Benchmarks statements. We have found that participants have inadequate understanding of the NOS, especially in understanding of five categories of conceptions; change and continuity in science, bias in scientific investigations, hypothesis in scientific investigations, things common in science, and science ethics. The result also indicates that there is a difference between primary pre-service teachers and secondary pre-service teachers. From the analysis of consistency, we also found that this inadequate understanding comes from confusion rather than misconception. All the results support that there is a need of intense pre-service teacher education concerning thenature of science.

국내에서 거주하는 외국인들을 대상으로 한 여러 정책들이 만들어지고 있다, 그에 따른 한국어 교육의 수요는 증가하고 있지만 그에 적합한 한국어 교육시스템의 자동화 및 발전은 미약하다. 본 논문에서는 사전예문과 획득이 용이한 말뭉치를 가공하여 적절한 수준의 문제를 자동으로 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 자동문제생성에서는 말뭉치와 사전 예문에서 문제와 보기문항을 생성하고, 보기 리스트를 생성한다. 웹문서 검색빈도를 이용하여 생성된 보기리스트의 적합성을 분석하여 정제된 보기 리스트를 획득한다. 얻어진 보기들을 임의로 선택하여 출력함으로써 사용자들이 다양한 문제를 접할 수 있도록 한다.

The purpose of this study is to assess gifted students' conceptions about nature of science (NOS). Scientifically gifted students who are expected to be professionals in the future should possess an adequate understanding of NOS that if firm foundation for scientific career. 47 volunteers from the 8th grade gifted science program in Seoul National University Gifted Education Center participated to answer questions inquiring NOS conceptions. Their answers were analyzed and compared to different groups such as non-gifted students and younger gifted students. As a result, gifted students' understanding of NOS appeared to surpass that of non-gifted students in many aspects and it seemed that gifted students formed their NOS view in early ages. The relative weakness in their NOS conceptions was found in understanding of scientific enterprise. Their strong misunderstanding about obstacles that minority people would face in scientific enterprise was noticed, too. They admitted that there has been discrimination in scientific enterprise, but they wrongly believed that outstanding scientists cannot be affected by it. Further studies will be required to probe more.

Estimation and correction of color temperature of digital images are basis of white balance adjustment after image acquisition stage. White balance is one of the most important image processing techniques for subjective image quality enhancement. Correction of color temperature is applied for white balance adjustment or for changing the mood of a picture. A picture taken under the daylight can be changed to have a mood of sunset or cloudy day, for example. We evaluate color temperature transformation of high dynamic range images in linear and log domain, and we conclude that linear domain transformation shows better results.

도시공간모델은 공간의 문제 또는 현상들을 보다 종합적, 합리적으로 파악하는데 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 수치지도와 도화원도로부터 저렴하고 수치지도 기반의 공간분석에 유용한 지형과 건물을 포함하는 도시공간모델을 생성하고자 한다. 도시공간모델은 지면모델과 건물모델로 나누어 생성한 후 통합한다. 지면모델은 수치지도를 이용하여 DEM을 생성한다. 건물모델은 수치지도와 도화원도를 융합하여 생성한다. 제안된 방법은 영등포구 전체를 포함하는 수치지도와 서로 다른 시기에 생성된 3 set의 도화원도에 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 생성된 도시공간모델은 수치지도를 기반으로 공간분석을 하는 응용분야에서 요구하는 입력 형태로 제공할 수 있으므로 유용하다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제안하는 도시공간모델의 생성 방법론은 더 많은 분야의 공간분석을 위해 활용될 것이다.

This study was designed to evaluate the effect of oriental medicine therapy on a adenomyosis. The patient was admitted to the OBGY department of Wonkwang university in Gwang-Ju, from 20th August 2004 to 7th September 2004, from 20th September 2004 to 1 st October 2004, from 20th October 2004 to 27th October 2004. She was treated with herbal medication, herbal acupunture etc. After this treatment, improvement was seen in dysmenorrhea (low abdomen pain, low back pain), profuse menstruation, the amount of black blood clots. The study suggests that oriental medicine therapy is significantly effective in the treatment of adenomyosis.

본 논문은 안전등급 제어기기(Safety-Grade Programmable Logic Controller)에서 사용하는 프로세서모듈 운영체제에 대한 컴포넌트 시험에 대해 기술한다. 디지털 소프트웨어에 대한 NRC(Nuclear Regulatory Commission)의 지침에 따라 운영체제는 소프트웨어 생명주기에 따라 개발되고 있으며 요구사항과 설계명세, 그리고 구현코드를 가지고 다양한 시험을 수행하고 있다. 컴포넌트 시험은 구현된 코드가 테스트 커버리지를 만족하는 지 파악하는 시험이다. 이를 위해 설계명세서를 참조하여 시험대상을 구분하고 각각의 시험대상에 대한 시험항목을 세분화한 이후 시험방법과 절차, 그리고 시험환경을 구축한 후 컴포넌트 시험을 수행한다.
