경북 일부 지역 요리학원 수강생의 교육환경에 따른 학습 만족도 (Association between Educational Environment and Satisfaction with Learning in Students at Local Cooking Institutes -Focused on Pohang and Gyeongju Area-)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the association between educational environment (physical environment of cooking institutes and curriculum) and satisfaction with learning of students at local cooking institutes. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed to 300 student enrolled at cooking institutes located in Pohang and Gyeongju, and a total of 265 were usable. Collected data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 12.0 by frequency, factor, reliability, t-test and Duncan's multiple range test. The results can be summarized as follows. Most of the subjects were enrolled at cooking institutes to learn Korean and Western cuisine. There were significant differences in learning according to institution, facility, method and instructor. There were also significant differences in learning according to gender, age, education, and attended classes. Based on the results, the physical environment of cooking institutes contributed to learning in the students, but the operation system also needs to be improved. However, study was limited in sample size and area, the results can-not be generalized.

Understanding Interactive and Explainable Feedback for Supporting Non-Experts with Data Preparation for Building a Deep Learning Model

  • It is difficult for non-experts to build machine learning (ML) models at the level that satisfies their needs. Deep learning models are even more challenging because it is unclear how to improve the model, and a trial-and-error approach is not feasible since training these models are time-consuming. To assist these novice users, we examined how interactive and explainable feedback while training a deep learning network can contribute to model performance and users' satisfaction, focusing on the data preparation process. We conducted a user study with 31 participants without expertise, where they were asked to improve the accuracy of a deep learning model, varying feedback conditions. While no significant performance gain was observed, we identified potential barriers during the process and found that interactive and explainable feedback provide complementary benefits for improving users' understanding of ML. We conclude with implications for designing an interface for building ML models for novice users.

  • 사회 환경 측면이나 도서관 현장에서 독서프로그램 담당 사서의 수요가 지속적으로 요구됨에도 불구하고 문헌정보학과에서는 독서관련 교과목 개설이 미비하며, 교육내용 또한 이론위주의 교육이 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 독서교육자의 자질을 함양하기 위한 실무중심의 독서관련 교과목 교수-학습법을 개발하였다. 즉, 독서체험을 위한 자기주도적 독서 및 독후포트폴리오 제작활동과 실무 중심의 학습동기 유발 독서프로그램 운영과 도서관현장 연계 협동 프로젝트 수행에 대한 교수-학습법을 개발 적용하였다.

디자인 사고 분석을 통한 외국인의 한국 언어 학습의 연구 (A Study on Foreigners' Korean Language Learning Experiences through Design Thinking Analysis)

  • 국어를 공부하는 외국인 학생들이 몇 년간 급격하게 증가하면서 한국어의 국제적인 지위가 올라가고 있다. 하지만 외국인 학생들의 입장에서는 한국어를 배우는 과정에 많은 어려움을 겪는 점이 드러나고 있다. 또한 이에 더해 한국 학생들과 외국인 학생들간의 이해관계가 어려워지는 점을 지적하는 연구가 나오고 있다. 에린 샌더의 디자인 연구 스파이럴을 통해서 이 논문은 한국에 있는 외국인 학생들의 한국어 교육경험을 조사했다. 또한 이 학생들의 한국어 학습에 대한 인식과 효과적인 요인들을 분석하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 디자인 연구를 통해 한국어 학습에 중요한 통찰을 결과로 도출했으며, 외국인 학생들이 한국어를 효과적으로 공부하는데 기여할 디자인 기회를 도출한 의의가 있다.

자율형 고등학교의 자기주도적 학습전형 운영 실태와 개선방안 (Improvement of Screening System of Self-initiated Learning in Self-governing High Schools)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore improving ways of screening of self-directed learning in self-governing high schools for expanding self-initiated learning screening system. To achieve the above aim, it was used survey method to 99 admission teachers of 12 self-governing high schools and analyzed responses with SPSS program. The research findings are as follows. To expand self-initiated learning screening system in self-governing high schools, it needs to obtain admission members of entrance committee, pooling of external screening members, quick decision of school admission members, increasing payment, training and understanding of the system and consideration of admission documents and study plan. Some improving ways of the expanding of self-initiated learning screening may be listed as follows: 1) development of screening model for self-governing schools 2) policy consideration for self-governing public high school 3) expanding autonomy of school 4) supporting budget 5) sharing of operation case and reinforcement of public relations.

NCS 교육과정 개편을 위한 프로젝트기반 학습법: 4년제 대학을 중심으로 (Project-based Learning Method to Reorganize the NCS Training Program: Focusing on the 4-Year-Course University)

  • National Competency Standards are the major administrative project to build a competence-based society. The manpower for the global society should be recognized by performance rather than educational records. Therefore, all colleges should first nurture NCS-type manpower based on field needs. This study comparatively analyzed the differences between the lecture style of four-year colleges and the outcomes of problem-solving and project-based learning method to prove why it is necessary to introduce the NCS program. Especially, It will review the constraints and measures of NCS introduction to overcome in a four-year university. Through this, it can be used as a means to help improve the field conformity of a four-year college curriculum by presenting the development and utilization of curriculum-based NCS in a four-year university. As a result, it was found that the overall satisfaction with the problem-solving and project-based learning method was above average. Many students were dissatisfied with the traditional teaching methods and the new project-based learning method was relatively effective in college education. Students' participation also improved. Based on the evaluation of learning performance, the new method was found more satisfactory than the old teaching method in terms of comprehension of professional knowledge in various fields, nurturing of logical thinking skills, acquisition of analytical skills, comprehensive thinking skills, creative problem recognition, and open-minded thinking skills.

  • 최근 데이터 처리를 통한 의사결정 수단으로 기계학습 기법을 도입한 개념이 많이 등장하고 있다. 기계학습은 기존의 데이터를 기반으로 학습한 결과를 이용하여 의사결정의 수단이 된다. 기술의 발전으로 생성되는 데이터는 방대하다. 이러한 데이터를 빅 데이터라 한다. 이러한 데이터에서 필요한 데이터를 추출하는 것은 중요하다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 온톨로지를 구축하기 위한 연관데이터를 기계학습을 통해서 추출하는 방법을 제시한다. 기계학습의 결과는 의미론적 관점에서 관계성을 부여할 수 있으며, 이것은 온톨로지에 추가됨으로써 어플리케이션의 요구에 따라 관계성을 지원할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 제7차 교육과정의 특색중의 하나인 교과재량활동시간의 효율적 운영에 관하여 연구하였다. 교과재량 활동시간에 '함께가자! 우리' 프로그램의 운영을 통하여 다양한 수학에 대한 경험, 실생활을 소재로 한 수학문제, 수준별 협동학습 수학에 대한 흥미를 유발시켰으며, 1:1 맞춤학습에 의한 부담 없는 질문과 학습의 분위기 조성 등이 학생들의 자기주도적 학습력을 향상시키는데 많은 도움을 주었음을 알 수 있다.

비형식 과학교육환경에서 초등학생들의 과학 학습에 대한 흥미 분석 (An Analysis of Elementary School Students' Interest about Learning Science in Informal Science Education Environment)

  • Interest has been studied as one of the construct to understand and improve learning in science. While informal science education is getting increasing attention as science education has been extended from formal school science to informal science learning including after-school program or science museum activity, however, little has been studied in comparing to the needs. In this study the authors investigated students' interest about learning science in the context of informal science education. For this the survey tool in the article of Im and Pak (2000) was utilized through modification, and 155 elementary students' responses were analyzed with factor analysis and basic statistics. The factor analysis showed that the students' interest about learning science in the context of informal science education has multi dimensions like subject, motivation, and activity dimension. The result showed that students' interest decreased as their grade is higher, and that the interest of intrinsic motivation, empirical activity, and descriptive subject were relatively high while the interest of extrinsic motivation, cognitive activity, and specific subjects were low. From this study the authors could infer the necessity of instructional strategy in consideration of students' interest for more effective science learning in informal science education environment.

  • Graduates from engineering colleges are demanded to have been acquired some abilities and qualities during their undergraduate years through the standard of the so-called "programmed learning results and evaluation" This paper aims at analyzing the learning results evaluation tool for graduates from the architectural engineering department through the examples of the colleges with engineering accreditation in Korea, and suggesting a more appropriate programmed learning result evaluation tool. The basic theories on programmed learning results were studied, and then the previous study examples were researched. The study objects were limited to the fourteen colleges which offered the examples of the learning results evaluation tools of the colleges with engineering accreditation in Korea. Types and the present situation of those evaluation tools were analyzed. In addition, the proposals for the evaluation tool of programmed learning results and the performance standard were suggested for those with an engineering accreditation, based on the case study of the performance standards of each college with an engineering accreditation. The study results showed that much more national research needs to be conducted to clarify the standards of selecting an evaluation tool and a performance standard appropriate for the level of each college so that it can make a proper proposal.
