Korea, as a leader of Internet and game sector in IT industry, has been playing an important role in increasing its industrial development. This country has won the first place in wireless broadband usage and contributed to Internet game industry development. This means that Korean use smartphones most. It is juveniles that use Internet and smartphones most among Korean who use teenage., the number of the teenagers who overuse smartphones or Internet has surpassed 200,000. The number of the adolescents who spend more time using smartphone and Internet is about 180,000 and the number of the teens who are over-dependent to smartphone having trouble living their lives is over 22,000. The SNS usage rate of the contents that teens are most likely to use has accounted for over 80 percent. Among teens, SNS is being considered as a major means that builds relationship due to smartphone technology and the prevalence of smartphones. However, the use of SNS among youths has two sides; one is positive, the other negative. Not only does SNS have a positive function that it keeps relationship but it also has a negative function that it can lead to smartphone addiction.

ICT는 교육의 효과를 증대시킬 수 있는 강력한 도구라는 이유로 교육에서의 활용이 중시되어 왔다. 그 중 Excel은 뛰어난 수식 계산과 논리 판단 기능을 갖추고 있고 다양한 종류의 계산을 할 수 있다는 점에서 수학과에서 그 가능성이 제시되어 왔다. 그러나 기존의 연구는 대부분 중 고등학교 수학과 통계단원에 중점을 두어 이루어 졌다. 그러나 함수의 사용이나 영어로 된 명령어는 초등학교에서 활용하기에는 무리가 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초등학교에서 Excel을 활용하여 수학문제를 해결하는데 있어 단순 계산보다는 문제해결을 위한 사고에 중점을 둔 문제해결수업모형을 개발하여 적용하고 결과를 알아보았다. 연구 결과 문제를 해결하는데 있어 엑셀을 이용하였을 때가 필기보다 문제를 해결하는 성공률이 더 높고, 문제해결 시간이 더 단축된 것을 알 수 있었다.

국내 교육용 모바일 콘텐츠의 대부분이 영어 등의 외국어 학습용으로 치중되어 있으며, 이동통신사와 교육전문 업체가 제휴하여 동영상 등과 같은 콘텐츠를 모바일 단말기에 제공하는 형태가 일반적이다. 최근에는 아이폰, 구글폰 등과 같은 다양한 종류의 스마트 폰의 출시에 따라 교육용 콘텐츠의 모바일 플랫폼이 변화되고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 외국어로서의 한국어 학습을 효과적으로 지원하기 위하여 한국어교육용 듣기 교육 콘텐츠를 구현한다. 세부적으로 스마트폰의 개방형 플랫폼인 구글의 안드로이드 OS를 기반으로 콘텐츠가 운영될 수 있도록 구현한다.

The article reviews the social media as an Internet phenomenon, determines their place and level of popularity in the society, as a result of which the social networks are a resource with perspective pedagogical potential. The analysis of social media from the point of view of studying a foreign language and the possibility of their usage as a learning medium has been carried out. The most widespread and popular platforms have been considered and, based on their capabilities in teaching all types of speech activities, the "Instagram", "Twitter", and "Facebook" Internet resources have been selected as the subject of the research. The system of tasks of teaching all types of speech activities and showing the advantages of the "Instagram", "Twitter", and "Facebook" platforms has been proposed and briefly reviewed.

This article presents an examination of the major cognitive-semantic theories in linguistics (Langacker, Lakoff, Fillmore, Croft). The CST's foundations are discussed concerning the educational policy changes, which are necessary to improve the linguistic disciplines in the changing context of higher education, as well as the empowerment and development of the industry. It is relevant in the light of the linguistic specialists' quality training and the development of effective methods of language learning. Consideration of the theories content, tools, and methods of language teaching, which are an important component of quality teaching and the formation of a set of knowledge and skills of students of linguistic specialties, remains crucial. This study aims to establish the main theoretical positions and directions of cognitive-semantic theory in linguistics, determine the usefulness of teaching the basics of cognitive linguistics, the feasibility of using methods of cognitive-semantic nature in the learning process. During the research, the methods of linguistic description and observation, analysis, and synthesis were applied. The result of the study is to establish the need to study basic linguistic theories, as well as general theoretical precepts of cognitive linguistics, which remains one of the effective directions in the postmodern mainstream. It also clarifies the place of the main cognitive-semantic theories in the teaching linguistics' practice of the XXI century.

본 논문에서는 딥러닝을 활용하여 취업준비생들의 데이터에 의하여 취업 가능 여부와 그에 따른 유용한 정보들을 얻기 위한 시스템을 제안한다. 취업 가능성이 성공적으로 평가된다면 예비 사회인, 취업준비생, 대학생들이 미리 취업 준비가 어느 정도 이루어졌는지 본인의 위치를 평가할 수 있으며 강점과 약점을 파악할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 취업생 및 취업준비생 데이터를 포함하는 CSV파일을 생성하였고, 딥러닝을 활용하여 유용한 정보들을 추출해내는데 성공했다. 이를 통해 취업 가능성 예측 프로그램은 취업준비생들과 기업의 인사관리자들에게 커다란 이점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 더 나아가 이 프로그램은 기업 구성원들의 업무능력을 평가할 수 있는 프로그램으로도 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Accidents or disease can lead to acquired voice dysphonia. In this case, we propose a new input interface based on eye movements to facilitate communication for patients. Unlike the existing method that presents the English alphabet as it is, we reorganized the layout of the alphabet to support the Korean alphabet and designed it so that patients can enter words by themselves using only eye movements, gaze, and blinking. The proposed interface not only reduces fatigue by minimizing eye movements, but also allows for easy and quick input through an intuitive arrangement. For natural communication, we also implemented a system that allows patients who are unable to speak to communicate with their own voice. The system works by tracking eye movements to record what the patient is trying to say, then using Glow-TTS and Multi-band MelGAN to reconstruct their own voice using the learned voice to output sound.

Lip-reading is the task of inferring the speaker's utterance from silent video based on learning of lip movements. It is very challenging due to the inherent ambiguities present in the lip movement such as different characters that produce the same lip appearances. Recent advances in deep learning models such as Transformer and Temporal Convolutional Network have led to improve the performance of lip-reading. However, most previous works deal with English lip-reading which has limitations in directly applying to Korean lip-reading, and moreover, there is no a large scale Korean lip-reading dataset. In this paper, we introduce the first large-scale Korean lip-reading dataset with more than 120 k utterances collected from TV broadcasts containing news, documentary and drama. We also present a preprocessing method which uniformly extracts a facial region of interest and propose a transformer-based model based on grapheme unit for sentence-level Korean lip-reading. We demonstrate that our dataset and model are appropriate for Korean lip-reading through statistics of the dataset and experimental results.

영어 논문의 작성 능력은 오늘날 공학도들에게 필수적으로 요구되는 자질이다. 주요 해외 저널에 얼마나 많은 논문이 게재되었느냐가 학문적 성과를 평가하는 주된 척도라는 점과 주요 해외 저널들이 보다 많은 독자들을 대상으로 하기 위하여 영어로 쓰여진다는 점 때문에 영어 논문 작성 능력에 대한 필요성은 한국을 포함한 영어가 모국어가 아닌 모든 국가들에서 강조되고 있는 실정이다. 그러나, 불행히도 한국에 있는 이공계 대학들은 석/박사 연구원들의 영어 논문 작성 능력 향상을 위한 정규적인 교육 과정을 제공하고 있지 못하다. 이러한 상황을 더욱 악화시키는 것은 구체적인 기술 논문 작성 방법론에 대한 문헌이 부족하다는 점이다. 원어민(Native Speaker)을 위한 기술 논문 작성 방법론에 대한 문헌이나 EFL 학습자들을 위한 일반적인 영어 작문법에 대한 문헌은 많이 있지만, EFL 학습자들을 위한 기술 논문 작성법에 대한 지침서나 문헌은 찾기 힘들다. 따라서, 본 보고서의 목적은 두 가지로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 첫째, 영문 기술 논문 작성에 대한 교육 방법론이 생소한 한국에서 이공계 연구원을 대상으로 강의를 하고 있는 EFL 강사들에게 제기될 수 있는 일반적인 논제들을 제시한다. 이 논제들은 적절한 강의 접근법(Teaching Approach), 최적의 학생 배치(Class Arrangement), 그리고 컴퓨터 학습 도구의 활용뿐 아니라 대조 수사학(Contrastive Rhetoric)의 중요성에 대한 내용을 포함한다. 둘째, 실제적인 강의 제안서도 제시한다. 본 강의 제안서는 기술 논문 작성법 강의 수강생들의 작문 샘플에 대한 분석 결과와 기술 논문 작성법에 대한 자가 진단 설문 응답 분석 결과를 근거로 작성하였고, 한국인 EFL 학습자가 기술 논문 교육 과정을 통하여 문법(Grammar), 과정(Process), 장르 기술(Genre Skills) 등을 골고루 개발할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 보고서는 EFL 기술 논문 과정의 개발에 대한 여러 일반적인 논점들을 공유함으로써 기술논문 교육방법론 연구가 부족한 한국의 공학 교육계에 하나의 사례를 제시하였다.

The current and ethnic issues represented in child-rearing practices of Korean-Chinese families in YanBian, China, were studied with the participation of 7 primary caregivers (4 mothers and 3 grandmothers) of young children who were interviewed and observed in their homes. Current issues were categorized as competitive bilingual ability, expectations about third language learning (English), expectations of high academic accomplishment and early education, and economic challenges in parenting. Ethnicity issues included ethnic pride as Korean-Chinese, conflicts of ethnic education, participation in local Korean culture, and rearing the child to have the self-expressive and assertive characteristics of typical Korean children. Results were discussed in terms of understanding and supporting child-rearing of minorities and families with multi-cultural background.
