Later analysis collapsed the demands into broad categories. From the collect data, 283 demands of first-line nurse managers were identified. These demands were then sorted into 3 broad categories that included : Self development as first-line nurse managers, relationship with others, and practice. The result of the study were as follows ; 1) Most of nurse managers(79.6%) had leadership training course and had good experience to improve self leadership. 2) Their demands of leadership training course are as follows First, for self as first-line nurse managers, they want to learn leadership theory, identify their leadership style and then develop their leadership skill. The health care environment becomes more competitive every day. It has fallen to nurse managers - from vice presidents of patient care to nurse managers and their assistants - to recruit and develop a workforce that successfully meets the needs of both patients and the organization. This means employees who demonstrate advanced critical thinking skills, creative problem solving, and sound decision making skills combined with clinical skills and patient advocacy. The environment which nurse managers create and the way they relate to their workforce, are pivotal to organizational viability. Especially leadership of first -line nurse managers contributes to the success of their organizations. First-line nurse managers are deserved to be one of the most administrative supervisors through the middle stratum in a hospital organization as being a manager in the field service if assessed from the overall aspects of hospital, as being an interim managers in the nursing department as well as being a supreme supervisor in a unit in terms of an organizational structure in the hospital. Similarly, as a compete leader, the first-line nurse managers have not only a professional which is qualified to perform a role of appropriate coordination with medical staff and key personnel but also hold an important key position a being responsible for performing his or her given role. The first-line nurse manager is expected to manage human and fiscal resources in ways not required before. While an identified need for well-prepared first-line nurse manager continues to plague the profession, first-line nurse managers often have difficulty providing the leadership required. The need leadership training to function effectively in their positions. But we hardly find a useful leadership training program for first-line nurse managers, therefore the purpose of this study was to developed the leadership training program for them. The steps of leadership program development were below: 1st step, 2 studies were done before develop a leadership program. One was done to ask to first-line nurse managers what they want to learn through leadership training, the other one was to ask the staff nurses what their opinions are for their first-line nurse managers leadership. 2nd step was searching other leadership programs contents. The results of this study were below: The total amount of hours is 24. Leadership training program contents are : Future of nursing profession (210min), understanding basic factor's of leadership and leadership theories(310 min), self understanding as first- line nurse managers(320 min), basic principle and practice of interpersonal relationship(210 min), assertiveness training, conflict management (180min), and group study(210min). This is challenging time to be a leader, especially in nursing. As nurse managers look toward the new millennium, it seems as through the same struggles are ahead that are behind. So nurse managers need to embrace change with a positive attitude. They need to demonstrate risk taking and support it in their staffs. All these things are possible that after they participate the leadership training program.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the influence of child care center managers' coaching leadership on teachers' motivational self-concepts via middle managers' coaching leadership. Teachers' motivational self-concepts consisted of personal self-concept and social self-concept. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 475 child care center teachers regarding teachers' recognition of the coaching leadership of managers and middle managers and motivational self-concepts of teachers. To analyze the collected data, the path was examined through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, structural analysis using Amos, and the mediating effect was confirmed by conducting the Sobel Test. Results: The middle manager's coaching leadership was found to mediate the pathways from the manager's coaching leadership to the teacher's social self-concept, but did not mediate the personal self-concept of teachers. Conclusion/Implications: This study showed that the manager's coaching leadership was mediated by the middle manager's coaching leadership and that the manager's coaching leadership had an influence on the social self-concept of teachers. These results imply that both managers and middle managers need to develop coaching leadership skills in order to improve the motivational self-concept of teachers, which is important for work efficiency at child care centers.

Recently, as business becomes more dependent on information technology for their operations, SI project managers are under increasing pressure to implement SI projects on time and within budget, and to satisfy customer requirements. For the success of SI projects and customer satisfaction, SI project managers should master the critical shills and knowledge requirements and consider the proper leadership style to lead the team members and to manage SI projects. The leadership style includes four categories, such as directive leadership, supportive leadership, participative leadership, and achievement-oriented leadership. This study has examined the project managers' competency and suggests the three competency factors, which are technical, human, and conceptual shills, for the success of SI projects and customer satisfaction. The study suggests that SI project managers should master the three critical skills and knowledge requirements, and consider the proper leadership style for the successful implementation of SI projects. Also SI project managers should consider contingency factors such as project size and duration and outcome variables such as protect performance and customer satisfaction so as to enhance the leadership effectiveness.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine effect sizes of leadership styles of nursing managers on turnover intention of hospital nurses. Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted in accordance with the PRISMA and MOOSE guidelines. Participants were nurses working in hospitals. The intervention involved nursing managers' leadership styles; the outcome assessed was nurses' turnover intention. This was an observational study design. Eleven databases were searched to obtain articles published in Korean or English. Of the 14,428 articles reviewed, 21 were included in systematic review and meta-analysis. Comprehensive Meta-Analysis and R software programs were used. Results: The total effect size r (ESr) was - 0.25 (95% confidence interval: - 0.29 to - 0.20). Effect sizes of each leadership style on turnover intention were as follows: ethical leadership (ESr = - 0.34), transformational leadership (ESr = - 0.28), authentic leadership (ESr = - 0.23), transactional leadership (ESr = - 0.21), and passive avoidant leadership (ESr = 0.13). Ethical leadership was the most effective style in decreasing turnover intention of hospital nurses. Conclusion: Positive leadership styles of nurse managers effectively decrease turnover intention of hospital nurses, and negative leadership styles of nurse managers effectively increase turnover intention of hospital nurses. The ethical leadership style is the most effective in decreasing turnover intention of hospital nurses; however, it requires careful interpretation as its effects are reported by only two studies. This study contributes to addressing the high turnover rate of hospital nurses and developing positive leadership styles of nurse managers in hospital settings.
This study examined the effects of perceptual differences of safety leadership between managers and workers on workers' safety attitudes and behavior in two construction sites. In addition, the mediating role of safety attitude between safety leadership and safety behavior across discrepancy level of safety leadership. This study was conducted on two first-tier construction companies within the 100th place in 2019. Two companies were similar in size(100 - 150 billion won) and process from the basement frame finishing stage to start of the ground structure of apartment. In A Site, 40 managers and 73 workers, 42 managers and 77 workers in B site participated the survey on managers' safety leadership, and workers' safety attitude and behavior. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the safety leadership scores assessed by the manager and workers at site B. However, the safety leadership scores assessed by the managers were significantly higher than that by the workers at site A. The workers' safety attitudes and behaviors at site B were higher than those of workers at site A. Moreover, Site B was significantly higher in the effects of safety leadership on safety behavior than Site A. At site B, safety leadership had a significant influence on safety behavior even after controlling the safety attitude of workers. At site A, safety leadership had no significant effect on safety behavior after controlling safety attitude. These findings suggest that there is managers' self-serving bias on safety leadership in site A and that this bias of leadership can negatively affect workers' safety attitude and behaviors. In addition, it can be seen that if the self-serving bias on safety leadership occurs, the manager's safety leadership has less influence on workers' safety behavior.

Transformational leadership styles are seen as key to inspiring employees to embrace change, as well as to build a sense of responsibility and autonomy at work. This study aims to examine the impact of managers' emotional capacity on transformational leadership behavior in enterprises in Vietnam. Using quantitative research methodology, through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and linear structure model (SEM), with survey data of 632 samples who are managers of different levels in the enterprise. Research results show that the emotional capacity of managers has both a direct and indirect impact on transformational leadership behavior through the intermediary factors of knowledge sharing at work and corporate social responsibility for employees. Based on that, the study proposes a number of recommendations to promote transformational leadership behavior in enterprises. The findings of this study have demonstrated the importance and impact of managers' emotional capabilities across multiple dimensions of transformational leadership behavior. These are both theoretical and practical contributions that provide managers with greater insight into their emotional capabilities and the need for transformational leadership behaviors. At the same time, the results of this study will also be an important foundation for further research.

Mid-sized manufacturing companies, which account for 0.7%(5,480 companies), 13.8%(1.169 million persons) of total employment, and 15.7% of total sales, have recently experienced a lot of difficulties in management activities due to the impact of COVID-19, the U.S.-China trade war, and the collapse of global supply chains. To overcome this, revitalization of quality management activities to strengthen corporate competitiveness is emerging as an urgent task. In order for these quality management activities to achieve their intended purpose, the positive leadership of corporate managers is very important above all else. There have been many studies related to positive leadership, but most have focused on charismatic leadership and transformational leadership centered on large companies or small and medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, this study aims to present ways to strengthen the leadership of managers by empirically analyzing how the positive leadership of managers of mid-sized manufacturing companies, which was relatively under-researched, affects quality management activities and Business performance(Balanced Score Card; BSC).
