  • This study constructed a VAR model with cotton futures and spot price data from April 30, 2009 to November 16, 2022, for empirical analysis utilizing the Granger causality test to analyze the dynamic relationship between cotton futures and spot market prices in China. The impulse response function and variance decomposition analysis showed that the cotton spot prices at flowering have a causal relationship with each other; in terms of mutual influence and impact, futures prices are higher than spot prices. Finally, it proposed countermeasures and suggestions from the perspective of establishing a standardized cotton spot market, improving the laws and regulations of the cotton futures market and trading system, and optimizing the structure of investment subjects.

  • As a clean fuel, LNG or LPG is widely used in large restaurants or plants instead of coal. These fuels are easy to use and cheap. However, they are inflammable very much and easily exploded at the worst. So there are many laws and regulations legislated for the handling and usage of the gas facilities. Nevertheless, very harsh explosions occurred in several domestic or foreign places. In this paper a gas detection and alarm system was developed for large facilities. A new concept for connecting many gas detectors was proposed and based upon that a system including hardware and software have been developed and tested. Although up to 16 gas detectors apart 1 km from main controller can be connected currently, this system can be easily expanded for more detectors because each gas detector receiver communicates with main controller using industrial standard RS-485 multi drop technique. Furthermore several additive functions was included for the installation and maintenance convenience.

  • Child care in Korea has been officially institutionalized due to the legislation of the Child Care Act in 1991. Since then, the predominant social phenomena such as growing female workforce, more intensified female education, and the low birth rates have led the stronger demand for child care at the national level. Accordingly, the supply of child care services and the demand of families using the services have increased dramatically, producing enhancement of the quality of child care via improved and extended laws and regulations. Such movements have arisen academic interests and policy issues to specific sectors with details including child care policies, curriculum and professionals working with young children at child care centers, needs of children and their families attending child care centers, and program evaluations.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an environmental education program for environmentally friendly consumer behaviors by analyzing factors influencing the attitude-behavior relationship, and examining consumer information needs about environmental problems. Environmental information demanded by consumers could be classified into five main areas; 'use and disposal of environmentally friendly resources', 'purchase of environmentally friendly goods', 'environmental problems and consumer sovereignty', 'environmental laws and regulations' and 'environmental values and consumer's civil consciousness'. Based on the study results, an environmental education program for consumers was developed which consisted of two main parts, basis and practice. The former aimed to strengthen consumer consciousness about environmental problems and the latter, to make regular environmentally friendly consumer behaviors. The two parts were correlated. Thus strengthening environment-related consumer consciousness by learning the part of basis could promote of environmentally friendly consumer behaviors.

  • The flash point is an important property and hazardous index of a flammable liquid. The flash points are used by virtually all the environmental, health, and safety organizations in both government and industry to classify flammable liquids for safety and transportation regulations. The basics of all flash points behavior are concerned with the vapor pressure and explosive limits. The flash points of pure components and the mixture of solvents can be calculated with the use of the laws of Raoult, Dalton and Le Chatelier. In this paper, experimentally determined lower flash points of a p-xylene and epoxy resin system were compared with the calculated values by using Raoults law. Calculated lower flash points were in reasonable agreement with the observed values.

  • Awarding interest in international arbitration remains one of the most challenging areas for tribunals and parties given the myriad of issues that arise. This article seeks to provide an overview of how international arbitral tribunals grant delay interest. It reviews the various issues that international arbitral tribunals face concerning pre-award and post-award interest, determining the appropriate interest rate, surrounding simple or compound interest, and the complex issue of choice of law. A comparative context is provided by surveying the laws of major jurisdictions from both the common law and civil law and the regulations of leading arbitral institutions. It concludes with a review of the law, jurisprudence, and practice in Korea related to delay interest and how Korean tribunals under the KCAB Domestic and International Rules have determined delay interest in recent years.

  • We have recently witnessed many of global companies did not successfully adapt themselves to local markets, and finally exited the markets experiencing failures. The purpose of this study is to suggest practical glocalization strategies for global e-service companies to run their respective businesses in local markets with success. Glocalization is a terminology blending globalization and localization, meaning that global companies adapt themselves to local cultures, environment, languages, laws and regulations so as to survive and prosper in those markets while maintaining high quality of standards and processes they originally have for global competitive edge. Examining success stories as well as failure ones of global e-service companies having entered Asian markets, we provide marketing mix strategy for successful glocalization, and suggest some guidelines for prospective e-service companies wishing to enter local markets with different cultures and languages to fit themselves to new environments.

In addition, due to the aging society, the government's support policy is also increasing, and many domestic companies are focusing on the sleep industry. Therefore, this study intends to examine the development strategies of the domestic sleep industry due to the increased social interest and corporate activities. To this end, a survey of 108 domestic companies was conducted by means of a Frequency Analysis, revealing some problems, such as poor sleep companies, insufficient resources for technology development, and limitations in distribution channels. As a result, it was found that for the development of the domestic sleep industry, strategies to strengthen the ecosystem, such as softening strategies through the sleep technology culture, strengthening ecosystems such as revitalizing industrial connections, and reforming laws and regulations, are urgent.
