Pulsed Laser Deposition 방법으로 증착된 Fe3O4 나노선의 성장과 특성 (Fabrication and Properties of Fe3O4 Nanowires Using Pulsed Laser Deposition)

  • $Fe_3O_4$(magnetite) having half metallic property attracts great attention material with high curie temperature in spintronics. $Fe_3O_4$ thin films and nanowires were grown onto c-$Al_2O_3$(0001) at various substrate temperatures. $Fe_3O_4$ films deposited from 300 to $600^{\circ}C$ are influenced by thermal stress induced from mismatch of thermal expansion coefficient between $Fe_3O_4$ and $Al_2O_3$ (0001) substrate. The $Fe_3O_4$ nanowires grown at $640^{\circ}C$ showed a diameter of 130 nm and a length of $2-10{\mu}m$. The nanowire arrays fabricated by pulsed laser deposition technique have high coercivity($H_c$) of 608 Oe and Squareness($M_r/M_s$) of 0.68 in perpendicular direction.

  • The Accurate Ranging System for Geodetic Observation - Mobile (ARGO-M) was successfully developed as the first Korean mobile Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) system in 2012, and has joined in the International Laser Ranging Service (ILRS) tracking network, DAEdeoK (DAEK) station. The DAEK SLR station was approved as a validated station in April 2014, through the ILRS station "data validation" process. The ARGO-M system is designed to enable 2 kHz laser ranging with millimeter-level precision for geodetic, remote sensing, navigation, and experimental satellites equipped with Laser Retro-reflector Arrays (LRAs). In this paper, we present the design and development of a next generation high-repetition-rate SLR system for ARGO-M. The laser ranging rate up to 10 kHz is becoming an important issue in the SLR community to improve ranging precision. To implement high-repetition-rate SLR system, the High-repetition-rate SLR operation system (HSLR-10) was designed and developed using ARGO-M Range Gate Generator (A-RGG), so as to enable laser ranging from 50 Hz to 10 kHz. HSLR-10 includes both hardware controlling software and data post-processing software. This paper shows the design and development of key technologies of high-repetition-rate SLR system. The developed system was tested successfully at DAEK station and then moved to Sejong station, a new Korean SLR station, on July 1, 2015. HSLR-10 will begin normal operations at Sejong station in the near future.

  • The flow field around four cylinders for various angles was investigated utilizing particle image velocimetry(PIV) technique. Flow field was recorded by video camera first. Then application of PIV technique was done to the flow field. The results turned out to be useful to analyze complex flow field around multiple cylinders.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the crosstalk characteristics of LD array modules for WDM and improved the crosstalk levels using a screening line between access lines. From the calculation resutls, we have found that inductive crosstalk of access lines is dominant for the low impedance LD arrays with short bondwire interconnections. The proposed array interconnecton with the screening line and ouble bondwires, rduces the crosstalk level about 10dB compared to conventional interconnections using simple access lines and a single bondwire. This proposed structure also can be easily imlemented with transmission reliability.

  • For massicely parallel optical interconnections, we propose three types of planar optical configurations for crossover photonic switching netweek, backboard optical signal distribution, and high speed packet address detection. The planar overalsy allow 2-D pixel arrays located on a wafer scale intergated circuit to be interconnected in a compact and vibrationally robust configuration. By the laser writing technique surface relief of microopical Fresnel lenses and multiplex gratigs used in the planar optics are successfully fabricated.

윤활영역에서 멀티크기 Laser Surface Texturing 효과 (Improvement of Tribological Characteristics of Multi-Scale Laser-Textured Surface in terms of Lubrication Regime)

  • Laser Surface Texturing(LST) is a surface engineering process used to improve tribological characteristics of materials by creating patterned microstructures on the mechanical contact surface. In LST technology, a pulsated laser beam is used to create arranged dimples on a surface by a material ablation process, which can improve such as load capacity, wear resistances, lubrication lifetime, and reduce friction coefficients. In the present study, the effect of multi-scale LST on lubricant regime was investigated. A pulsed Nd:YAG laser was applied on the bearing steel(AISI 52100) to create arranged dimples. To optimize the surface texturing effect on friction, multi-scale texture dimples with some specific formula arrays were fabricated by combining circles, ellipses and the laser ablation process. The tribological testing of multi-scale textured surface was performed by a flat-on-flat unidirectional tribometer under lubrication and the results compared with that of the non-textured surface. Through an increase in sliding speed, the beneficial effect of multi-scale LST performance was achieved. The multi-scale textured surface had lower friction coefficient performances than the non-textured surface due to the hydrodynamic lubrication effect.

  • This paper presents the simulation of micro-lens arrays based on dry and wet etching technique. Code V (Optical Research Associates Ltd) simulation was performed to extract optimal design parameters of a Micro-Lens Array(MLA). Thickness of UV adhesive, wavelength of laser source, curvature, and shape of lens surface were chosen for the design parameters. The simulation results showed that focal length of a MLA decreased with the increase of UV adhesive thickness. And the focal length depended on shape of lens surface and length of laser source.

  • 열전달에 대해 고려하는 것은 LTCC와 같은 고밀도 회로기판을 설계하는데 매우 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 열전달 효과를 조사하기 위해서 LTCC 기판 내에 열 비아 및 패드를 위치시킨 기판을 제작하였다. 제작된 기판의 정확한 열적인 분석을 이해하기 위해서 Laser Flash Method에 의한 샘플의 열전도도 분석 및 수치해석을 수행하였다. 열비아 및 열방출을 위한 패드로 구성된 LTCC 기판의 열전도 특성은 순수 Ag재료의 44%인 103 W/mK 값을 초과하는 특성을 나타내었다. 수치해석에 의해서 LTCC 기판내의 비아 배열, 크기, 밀도 변화에 따른 열거동의 해석을 수행하였다.
